Cozy place ! Soups are delicious and very kind owners!

I do not recommend eating at this place. We ordered pizza for lunch. The pizza was pre-frozen from the supermarket. They served us half frozen and charged us 2,900 isk, more or less 21 euros. We also asked for an extra ham and mushrooms 1000 isk = 7 euros, which they didnt serve us... Pizza costs around 4 euros in the supermarket... embarrassing... I dont know what the other products are like but dont eat pizza in this place

A complete fraud. We went for some pizza and not only was the pizza a frozen one but also, he did make me pay for the extras I added (ham and mushroomswhen the pizza came already frozen with all the ingredients frozen in it! Can’t believe they made us pay 2900 isk for a frozen pizza. Unbelievable. Do not come here. They are laughing at your face.

Good campsite. Decent bathrooms. Boat was brewery nice. Close to Krauma baths

We stayed at campside. It was very nice. There is clean kitchen where you can cook, WC. We found just one shower and it is made for 2 people without any curton. Me and my husband didnt mind but :D it can be unconfortable. Water smells from sulphur. Owner is very nice. There is little restaurant.

Fascinating place. Thermal water heated green houses provide food for the restaurant. The food was not only flavorful but incredibly fresh. The wild mushroom soup was spectacular!

Fish and chips!! Delicate but crisp batter, awesome flavor. Good, friendly service as well. Laid back atmosphere.

As for the camping, receptionist was quite rude and unfriendly. Everything was quite old with big amount of small fixes. Fortunately it was clean. For all camping there is only one door to the bathroom with 2 heads in it. It’s strange, for couples it’s okay, otherwise you occupied all showers for yourself

A wonderful green spot! Faculties were wonderful and charming (warmed-up bathrooms!). The owners are very friendly and helpful (thanks again for the ride to krauma!). The thermal spa „krauma“ is (with a car3 min away, walking 40 minutes. It’s a wonderful spa, but you have a public pool & hot pot nearby.Next to the campground is a restaurant, which looked very nice & delicious!

The campsite is located behind a lovely roadside restaurant with very friendly staff. We did not eat at the restaurant but the food looked great and they grow their own vegetables in greenhouses onsite. Campsite facilities were not ultra modern but all clean and easy to locate. There is basically one shower room with 2 shower heads, which works well for a family or couple showering together but means that you need to take up 2 showers at a time if you prefer privacy. The setting is sheltered and very picturesque, with a few separate areas enclosed by trees.

Sweet little camping site, behind the restaurant one of the few open in the area on May 23rd. Clean facilities and open space, good views and hot showers! Theres no Kitchen or inside space, we were lucky with the weather and could cook outside. I really liked it.

Friendly stuff, choice of three soups, charming decor with old piano, stuffed animals and dolls, green plants on each table, floor is made of small pebbles, big windows. It was so cozy that we couldn’t resist to make a stop in this restaurant on the road! It was perfect lunch for hungry travelers.

If you are up for a nice burger and excellent fish and chips, this is the place to be!! Friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.

Weve been here twice - once after a trip to the Vidgelmir cave and a second time after we went to the nearby Krauma pool.Both times the food was really good and the owner was very nice.They also have a good beer selection. I highly recommend Viking Rökkr.

Best fish and chips we had in all Iceland. Staff was friendly but not pushy, and when our meal took little longer to make we got free delicious soup.

Owners are super friendly and they home grow many of their foods. They also told us about some local sites we would have otherwise missed! Funny thing is one of them had owned a house where I was visiting from which was a coincidence.

Absolute PERFECTION. The food was amazing, service was top notch. We spent a few hours here talking to the owners and they were so accommodating and lovely. Definitely one not to miss.

We found the place being in a state of quiet desperation: on our first day in Iceland we rushed to the Krauma hot bath (in the wind and the rain ...but they could not serve dinner. We went to knock on the door of the restaurant. It was totally empty and the owner was cleaning the floor so we had little hopes that she would serve us (we were a party of 7 people). Well she did and we had an excellent dinner: best soup of the week, with vegetables from their garden, excellent burgers and fish and chips for a very decent price in Iceland. The owners were very friendly to us. We highly recommend the place. A bit off the beaten track but its on the way to Krauma.

These guys make you feel at home. A great place to stop for a beer and a snack. Enjoyed every part of being there. Just the perfect combination of kindness and snark!! Thank you both!!

Stayed here for lunch. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing fish and chips, and very nice coffee. If youre looking for a nice place for lunch this is definitely worth a small detour.

Absolutely delicious food! All varieties of soup were amazing and portions were plenty. Everything tasted so fresh and filled me up for a long journey ahead! Definitely pay this place a visit!

We had fish and chips and they were amazing. The fish was so good it just melts in your mouth. We had a pleasant experience.

Charming roadside café/restaurant serving a varied menu of classics. I asked the incredibly kind proprietor if he made the soup, and he replied that the make all their food "from seed" (ie they grow all their own veg). The mushrooms were foraged locally! Such an understated gem of a place. Well worth a meal.

The owner and his wife were really nice, gave us lots of information about surroundings and where to go.They run the campsite, which is well-equipped with hot showers, toilets, laundry and outside sinks. There is a warm common area with small cooking facilities and they even offer us to let our tent in their greenhouse! Wind-prood and rain-proof, it was perfect.Its good to know that they are the only campsite open this time a year near Husafell.They also run the restaurant and the food is really great. We had the soup buffet (all homemade with fresh vegetablesand fish and chips and it was all very tasty. I would recommend 10 000 times!Thank you so much for our stay

We were here for dinner. It was very tasty and large portions each. The soup beforehand was also very good. The owner was super nice and the prices for Iceland were totally okay.

This quaint place was 15mins outside of our farm house AirBnB right down the street from some geothermal pools. I was so lucky to run into this little phenomenal restaurant, the food was amazing, the staff was helpful and the cook through down lol. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice quiet and awesome place.

We stayed at the campground twice during our round-trip Iceland ring tour. Loved the privacy afforded in the shower room which has two shower heads and separate seating area with hooks for hanging items. The water is hot with strong flow. You lock the door to the shower room for privacy. Toilets are in adjacent building along with two sinks outside for washing dishes. We didn’t try the restaurant but it seemed nice as it was always busy. Owners were very nice.

What an absolutely lovely experience. We landed here by accident and celebrated my birthday with the best soup buffet and cake. The owner was lovely and she told us about the area and recommended the nearby hot springs. This was an unexpected gem of our trip.

Comfy hall complete with a piano and a welcoming atmosphere. Owner went above and beyond to fix us up a breakfast platter with super fresh vegetables and made sure we never ran out of anything. Highly recommend visiting.

Extremely polite and welcoming owner. Stayed the last night of my Iceland excursion here and couldn’t be more pleased. Free hot shower included with camping price. The man in the restaurant even cooked me a breakfast platter when they don’t even have breakfast on the menu! & They have draft beer which is always a plus. 10/10 would recommend!

The restaurant is good at ambiance, food everything... We eat Veg Wrap and it did taste good... Owners are nice and kind people and help you with everything

Great all you can eat soup that tastes amazing. All the other prices are just great. The staff is amazingly friendly and they even have a (tunedupright piano. No Wi-Fi.

The Hobbit House saved our life. It was extremely windy that day, and the extra 400 ISK were so worth it, the greenhouse was warm and repaired us from the wind. Except that, the campsite doesnt offer much, a couple of bathrooms per gender, a double free hot shower (not two showers), no common kitchen, and a couple of outdoor sinks.

We arrived late and pulled into the campsite. The grounds were quite muddy and the shower room was not overly clean, but the water was hot and the shower was relatively big. Perhaps the most interesting part of the shower is that there were two curtains, but no middle curtain to separate the space. Its fine for couples, but the space could be set up more efficiently.

Great hospitality, great food warm showers. We enjoyed visiting with the owner and stayed for dinner and lunch the next day.

Large camp site behind the restaurant. Toilet & Shower a bit rundown but functioning. The restaurant has nice interior, very cosy at night. Close by 9pm.
