Hutan Kota GBK in Jakarta

Nice place to hangout with family or friends. It was very crowded on weekend, especially if you’re come around 4/5 pm.

Opens early in the morning (6 AMyou feel as if enter another world in the middle of skyscrapers of Jakarta.

instead of small forest Id rather called it park considering its size and layout. the place is nice and cozy, but it seems people there love to trampel the grass, make the grass field uneven. I know one of the main feature that people enjoy by being there is so they can do picnic on grass but since its relatively new park I hope they regulate people coming there so they dont step or trampel the spot where the grass need some breathing room to grow, or they can just forbid the visitor to step on the grass for the time being until the grass grow back fully. they have small mosque or we often called mushola and restroom for men and women and nice pond with lot of fish.

My favorite place to have a picnic. Eventho they only available from 3 tp 6 pm in the afternoon. Crowded around weekend but I think its still worth to spend ur time with ur family here

A small park that is still far from being a "hutan" as its name suggests. Most of the trees are still very young, so hopefully in several years this small patch of land will just get better. The elevated area has a number of small benches for two that overlook the park with majestic Jakarta skyscrapers as the backdrop. The place is packed with picknickers on weekend, so if you want to find quieter areas to relax, youd better opt for the parks around the main stadium. Nevertheless, any green space in this megapolis is a rarity to treasure.

A nice park in the heart of the city! You can do picnic here. But sadly, although its probihited, theres still people that are smoking here, eventhough there are many children around. So the security guard should be more aware of this!

Good place but too tiny to called it as a forest. Hanging out with friends or lover can be nice, but not really good for family picnic. The open space are too tight for a toddler or baby. If you still want to come with family, better on weekdays. Please check the weather before you come and bring your picnic stuff. Oh, also they provide toilets and musholla.

Nice place to hangout and go for picnic with your love one or families. Something need ti improve was the tress I guess, it needs to grow so it can be more green and shady. Often times it gets windy too here. Please bring your own mat if I may adds. And don’t forget to keep the place clean! 🤟🏻

My go-to place for weekend picnic with friends, nice ambience and very accessible. It could get a bit crowded in the afternoon, much prefer to spend my time here in the morning.

Nearby Istora Mandiri MRT Station. You can picnic or spend a couple hour with your family here.

So far the best public place in Jakarta. They are free, no beggar, no buskers and the ambience is not like in the Jakarta. Hope they can keep up this condition.

Hutan Kota GBK gives a beautiful view of SCBD (especially for its Mandiri building and some moreeither in sunny day or bright night. The Hutan Kota itself is just so good. You can see people playing music, strolling with friends or lovers, or just walking alone like me. Kamar mandinya bersih juga dan ada tempat shalat. Overall, mantaplah!

this place is good to hang out. it will open at 3pm and closed at 6pm. easy access with MRT and TransJakarta. you can get off at istora MRT station or FX Sudirman Halte. dont forget to keep clean and obey the health protocols

For those of you who are confused about going to the city of Jakarta but still want to feel the beauty of a vast green park, Hutan Kota GBK is the place to be. Its very comfortable for a picnic or sit back and relax. But if you want to sit on the grass, dont forget to bring a rug/mat to sit. There is also toilet and prayer room provided.Hutan Kota GBK is an easy place to visit, because the location is right in front of the Istora Senayan MRT and also there is no entrance fee or free! Since I came here in the afternoon so I would recommend coming here in the afternoon, the weather is not too hot and suitable for chatting with friends while eating the food or snacks you have brought. Keep the cleanliness of the Hutan Kota GBK area by not throwing garbage:)-Thank You!

One of rare park in the center of Jakarta.Good concept eventhough the facilities is still lacking.If there are some benchs, swing, gazebo it might be better and more views and way to take picture.I got some interesting picture like some 4-5 men that bring 4 “Spirit Dolls” and taking pictures all around.Saw actual one there not just from news.So yeah this park is interesting and fun on its own way.

Best choice to spend time before the sunset and do a little picnic with friends, family, or beloved people. The area was so clean. Open in the morning, and afternoon at 3-6pm. There was also a pond eith tons of fishes~

The best park that J-Town have right now! Ambience and the city skyline are dope. I bring my favorite strawberry cheesecake from Papaya. Easy to access just take MRT Hutan kota GBK exit from MRT Istora station

A huge and clean park in the middle of Jakarta. Grass field for kids to play, jogging track, fish pond. Nice place to visit during weekend with kids. Theres a food vendor just right at the entrance. Comfy and fun playground for all ages.

I am so glad that Jakarta actually has an open green space. Sometimes I am bored only walking in the mall, I need to enjoy the breeze of air and sunny days for a while sometimes. This hutan kota GBK is crowded during the weekend. Must be nice if you went here on a bright sunny day while having snacks and good friends. I LOVE THIS AREA.Dear Jakarta government, please provide more of this, we are in dire need of accessible and clean public area in the city. We would appreciate well maintained public parks that would improve our lives altogether rather than mere malls.I really enjoyed my walk around the area. Much distance between everyone and the air was fresh, I just felt very refreshed after my walk there.If youre planning to walk around noon to evening dont forget to use mosquito repellent or else youd get bitten. I personally think around 4-6 pm is the best time to be here. cant wait to go back.

This place is nice for picnic either in a very early morning or in the evening, as Jakartas heat is irresistible. For you who have sensitive skin...better bring mosquitoes repellent.

This is one of another places to refresh your mind and take a fresh breath. Gelora Bung Karno best place for you if you need places for jogging, ride bicycle, and more sport activities.Theres many ways to go to Gelora Bung Karno. You can using MRT (Mass Rapid Transitand get off at the Istora Senayan station or you can use Transjakarta and get off at Gelora Bung Karno bus stop. And the other, you can online transportation such as Gojek or Grab.Theres food area a Gelora Bung Karno but you need to explore the places to find where.

Doesnt ressemble any forest (hutanwhatsoever, more like a boardwalk. These photos might be the last before they decided to renovate this place again. Its been only a year since they had built it for the Asian Games 2018, and I honestly dont know what this place is for. Nice place for walking and cycling though

This location is in the GBK Area. You can enter in Gate 6. Near of Gelora Bung Karno Transjakarta Halte Busway. And it can reach by MRT too.At the time when Im visiting, Jakarta, Indonesia is in Summer and the grass turn into brown, not few, but almost all over the field.No shelter you can hide for the sun, if you come at noon untill 3.00 or 4.00 PM. Not suiteable in rainy day.The positive side, this is the fotography spot area. The view across is the landmark building in Senayan business area.My suggestion, you can come to this place from 3.30 PM until evening. To have a good view and sun beam from our behind.And in the night, full of light from building far ahead.And the most important is, the toilet is locked. You can find across the street at the entrance of GBK Main Stadion.Thank you.
