Joulumaantie 3, 96930 Rovaniemi, Finland, Rovaniemi
Seasonal attraction featuring scenic dogsled tours led by a team of huskies along a forest trail.
Nice place to learn about Husky. We had our fun.
You can hug and play with the huskies and also get a ride through a beautiful forest. Amazing 10/10
When we bought the €10 per person entry tickets no one explained to us that all the huskies would be in cages and that to interact you would have to pay another heft price. I think we would’ve skipped this for sure if we knew this was the case especially since we’ve done a husky tour before and have a husky at home. If Santa Village in the Arctic circle is the only thing you have time for and this doesn’t exist in your home country I suppose this could be worth it. I was even told that huskies aren’t native to Finland at all and they’re only here for tourist purposes so reindeer ride is perhaps a better taste of Finland back in the day.
Definitely recommend visiting the park and getting a ride with the most friendly huskies! they have really cute names and a little description about their personalities is posted outside their enclosure.
Great experienceIt seems they take good care of the dogs
Amazing experience with the huskies. Would recommend
Very good
The dogs are in their cages and mainly sleeping (maybe it was their sleep time, who knows). Only one was outside, and he was just not happy with everybody touching him and petting him. The other ones looked also a bit sad to be honest.
We had the most amazing day
This was a fantastic experience! The huskies are all friendly and approachable! Their staffs are helpful too!
If you want to be happy, then come here!
5* experience5* service5* stuff5* #accessibilityIt is absolutely amazing must visit and do experience. The stuff is extra friendly and supportive. The tickets you can buy online but also at the entrance. There many options of husky riding from 500 meters to several hours, riding dofferent distances in the forest. And it is just fabuloussssss!!! The dogs are super kind and fast going, there are also many ones in the cages on the territory, and one big and soooo cute on the opened space so you can hug him/her and take cute pictures. The territory itself is #accessible, besides the bridge leading to the forest, but you can go there ather way on the land.Ohhh, it is literally the best dog experience I have ever had!Hundreds of gratitudes to super kind stuff and organizers. Chapeau!!!
I travelled all over the world in my life, but this one is a best experience ever its mind blowing. Xxxxx
Nice place to interact with Huskies, though the ride lasts for few minutes.
Very friendly staff and nice ride
We nearly missed the little hut which had a fire inside to help warm up. Be sure to pop in. The huskies are beautiful. Friendly staff.
HORRIBLE!!!! Please do not go and support such dog slaughter. 3 dogs in a small cage. Have to sleep and walk in their own urine. One dog was kept on a chain and children were allowed to hunt it. As well many of the dogs were malnutrition. I really do not get how PETA has not been involved yet. Really made me so-so sad and I really hope that this place will be shut down soon.
Very strange place. Many dogs in little cages witg behaviorol problems. Not worth a Euro!! Poor poor dogs :(
Good option for husky lovers! You can have a ride or just hug them!
Unlike what they advertise, it is NOT a free entry. Just meeting the dogs costs about 10€/person. But the huskies are such a lovely sight !! They are well taken care of and most of them even allow you to pet them through the cage. But make sure not to wear gloves while doing so. The huskies consider them as toys and WILL snatch them off if they get a chance.
Highlight of my trip to LaplandI absolutely loved my time here. It was incredible to meet all the dogs and the 1km ride was unbelievable.
Good locaded and wonderful friendly Huskies. A "must do" at Santa Claus Village
Good experience even in summer. Dogs are kept clean, well taken care of. One can notice, they are loved by people working there. You can pet each and every dog :)
exciting fast husky ride, dogs are cute and energetic but a bit smelly
If you are there take ticket with "hugging". It is lovely option. All husky is friendly and lovely. It like attention and people which works there are the best.
You should pay for entrance, besides the rides are much expensive than its neighbor, Bearhill Husky. Else, it was good.
Just fenced huskysNot worth 10 € you can PET them if you see one on the street but Not Here... 😓Disapointing
Very friendly staff, they take really good care of each husky. Everithing perfect!
Disturbing Experience. We expected to meet some roaming Huskies and that we are able to pet them. But they were kept in small cages in group of 3-4 Huskies and they showed some weird behaviour like running in circles, trying to climb out of the cages and fighting each other. The toys were kept away from them so they want to play when visitors come.I love dogs and felt kinda sad for them. I am far away from being a peta activist, but I had to leave after a few minutes.
Doggies are on holidays at the moment and having a well deserved rest. A good place for a quick visit.
Energetic huskies, informative info, friendly staffs, cants ask for more!
Money for nothing. You could easily skip the so called husky tour/trip.Only sad animals crying in cages. And then you get 1 minute... lets say 2 minutes trip with dogs carrying a waggon, a cart or something on wheels, not even a sleigh. So 2 minutes lap, in circle, for 80 EUR!!! (2 adults and 1 kid and the kid was for free!).Better save the money. And the dogs.
Beautiful husky’s. pity we had to have a lesser ride as snow has come late as experience was amazingStaff great and helpful
Wonderful experience but pricey. Recommend a visit for sure! The dogs are sooooo cute!
A small attraction close to Santa Claus village, my family and I really enjoyed our visit. Lots of gorgeous dogs to meet, an informative talk and a short but thrilling summer buggy ride pulled through the forest by a team of huskies. The dogs clearly loved it and so did we.
If you love dogs you should definitely visit this place. There is a possibility to rent a sleigh pulled by huskies, but it’s quite expensive. I payed only 10 € and for that I get to go inside the husky park, pet the huskies and take pictures of them.
Great place to visit if you love dogs! I had a tour from two wonderful guides Nena and Maria and enjoyed wandering to meet and photograph the huskies. Hoping to get back in the winter!
I adored it... loved the huskies... at first i wasnt sure... but you can see how excited they get to go out... and the ones who stay ... sad... our guide was sooo good... teached us loads of interesting facts about mushing.
Pay 10eur for entrance and extra 30eur for a short drive, not even 500m as written. Dogs are great, but in cages, you cant enter, petting dogs through tiny cage holes, omg, you can imagine. Girls working there were nice, but they are still from Finland, so dont expect the smile or going out of the box for you. Coming out of the park, I saw Bearhill husky ride for 40eur, 2km and I wanted to shoot myself in the knee. Well the blame is all mine.
You pay 20 euros for entrance and you get to see 5 dogs in cages and bad smell. Not getting a chance to pet dogs or take pictures unless you go for a ride. This is waste of money and dissapointment. Not at all what is stated on homepage.
It was beautiful, the best experience of the my trip ❤❤❤with the winter was very very magic!!!!!❄❄i really love the Husky, they were lovely sweet and cute!!!! I enjoied the trip with Husky, at the end of the lap i made a selfie with an Husky!!! 😂😂and i made many many photos📷enjoy the trip!! And go in winter because you will enjoy better the place.
Wonderful experience. Here you will not drive a sledge. A professional driver will take you on a sledge through the forest. We were 2adults and 3 children on the same sledge, really wonderful.
amazing experience riding through the snow! Must visit the cubs and play with them inside their pen, adorable!
Amazing experience with Huskies.
The ride seemed expensive at first but turned out to be one of the most unique experience we had in Rovaniemi. I dont want to compare but husky ride feels more exotic, adventurous than reindeer ride. I hope they take care of the dogs a bit more. Totally recommend!
The Huskys were super cute and active, husky ride was fun!
Many cute dogs here! But seems like they are very unhappy.. And lack of good care. They are all a bit too skinny.
Are you a person in "Dog side", not Cat? Then you should visit here. You can meet with more than 20 huskies. They are waiting for being assigned to a dogsled in each cage. If they are in a nice mood, you can touch with them and play some even via the cage. One small shed is at the center of the park with a fire place and complimentary cookies and tea. Be careful of slipping on a bridge in winter.
Great for dog lovers and fun seekers. The dogs are all really friendly and the sled ride is worth it no matter which one you choose.
Perfect place for every dogs lover! You may look at these friendly dogs, play with puppies, ride as local does!Perfect place for the kids, family and everyone!
