After crossing 750 stairs there is an amazing waterfall of river subarnarekha...Its located in Ranchi district of Jharkhand...It is the 34th highest waterfall in India..Total height of the falls is 98mtThere are few photographers are available to clicks your photo...Microsporus fungus are available here..are sold here as decorative items..many medicinal plants are also found here..After evening the gate of the falls is closed..Ropeway system is also available here.

Its very nice place to visit between Nov to Feb because of cool and pleasing weather with beautiful greeny scenario.we visited last month and had a picnic over there with on the spot cooking. First we had enjoyed food that we made and then went for site seeing. Hindu fall has two portions upper i.e where water start to fall with rocky landscape and lower i.e the velly where falls with beautiful site . You can go to any portion directly both are accessible by road or you can go to other portions with help of 745 stairs near to fall.

This fall is a safe place for family visit compared to others near the city. Just there isnt any good restaurant , better to bring your homemade food.

Ecstatic and serene view. Almost 750 steps are there to reach the ground and have the full view cum bathing experience. If bathing is not a priority, visit during winter.

A decent waterfall with 700 steps and ample finger food stall and for quick snacks and water. Best time to visit is winter and monsoon. Dont forget to wear comfortable footwear and carry umbrella if you go in summer. Distance is just 40 mins from town.

As a person who have travelled Himachal and all this place seems nothing special.. there are around 745 stairs they say.. and the waterfall was small like some artificial waterfall.. but still nice place to hangout in a place like jharkhand

I visited this place recently. Good place to spend time with family. Nice way to reach waterfall...Via 750 staircase..You can hear the sound of waterfall all your way. Hundru fall offers nice,clean and natural view..One should try taking the bamboo boat (INR 20). Its fun and the boatman takes you an inch closer to water and over there its blissful!!!No proper parking area. Locales are collecting hefty money, should be controlled. proper fencing should be there, the visitors soiling the place with garbage, goverment must look to clean the fall area effectively.

Scenic Beauty and less crowd makes it a must visit place for everyone. Rope way makes it very easy to see the classic beauty of the waterfall. Snacks and cold drinks are easily available but restaurants are of small size with very few options. Very good option as a picnic spot. Must visit place.

The view at this place is unmatched. There are two routes to this place. One which is directly after sikidri plant(recommended if shortage of time. The other route is through getalsud dam(highly recommended for the greenery, dam view, forest for good quality photos and birds). Both the roads meet at the bridge in front of the fall wich maked you stand just above the waterfall area. You can take photos at the photo point here and later you can go down to the river too. Highly recommended as it is comparatively the nearest fall to ranchi.

Its the most beautiful falls in Jarkhand. Its maintained by JTDC. Total steps are near about 750. Also, their ropeway is available. In the way of falls means beside of stairs, there have small shops of wooden goods and foods or drink. You can take a rest and again start your journey on this way. The total steps area is well maintained.

nice place to visit..caution there are 745 stairs..to reach the waterfall...first you have to climb down..then up so for elderly people and people with some aliments needs to be carefull...after reaching u will get a good view of the waterfall and its great to watch...u will get hand-crafted items by locals in samall stalls..while walking down the stairs..u can have lemon juice also...in those stalls...the water level was high during jan and feb so bathing is prohibited...the water volume is too large...also there is a small park near the parking which offers zipline they take 300 rs..

This is an awesome place. Nice water fall is present there. Here is a good place for picnic and also for outing. Many hotels are present there. It is more or less 120 km from purulia.Both vegetarian and non vegetarian hotels are present there and also there is a guest house for stay.There is also present a rope way to see a clear view of hudru waterfall. It is more or less risky. If you are a brave man, then you go for it.

Parking space is limited. Fee is to be paid for the parking as well as entry of individual. Nice view of the waterfall after walking down 749 steps till the bottom. After that ones eyes will be filled with abandant beauty of nature. Moderately well maintained. Please dont avoid going down the steps for the fear of climbing up again. If you do that you miss a lot.

Among the three major waterfall around Ranchi Jharkhand,Hundru waterfall is the highest ,the water falls from the height of 322 feet .We visited it in the first week of June,the flow of water was trickle.The rocks formation at the upper side was very steep,please be very careful,as a simple mistake can take your life. The road was good,I did not see any food stalls near it,a nice place for picnic.The view was mesmerising.

Nice place. Be prepared to climb 800 odd steps. The bottom of the waterfalls becomes a pressure cooker during rainy season as there is not much air flowing and there is an excess amount of moisture, plus the sun rays. Youll feel like being in a hot sauna. But its fun.

In eastern India one must go waterfall . The place has scenic beauty where nature bestow with greenery and vegetation. The place is crowded with visitors in winter season . Being tourist attraction its not well maintained, no plastic boards are there but no strict regulation to follow . In the path to the waterfall too much shop make it ugly. Govt needs to act for tourism much more .
