Hundru Waterfall in Barki Saria

Serene, beautiful place to explore.

Its located approximately 50 kms from Ranchi. The roads are good and one can expect a smooth ride once one leaves the hustle bustle of the city. Parking charges are 30 and 10 rupees per person. Zip lining facilities are available but currently not working.Its a good place for a picnic and many families come here with a portable kitchen and cook food here itself. For those not so adventurous food stalls are setup by locals serving gulgulla, pakoras, Maggie, omlette, chicken, sweet lime juice, chana, etc.

If you love nature. You should visit. Once you reach to car parking at hundru waterfall, there are two places to reach waterfall. One with around 750 steps (thats the point where water falls. Other is like slop where anybody can go easily and have wonderful photos of nature. Loved it alot

Visit was very charmfull. We have brought wooden kraft also at very economic price. Peoples wery very cooperative. We have taken taxi from ranchi sation . Travel time 2 hrs play time 2 hrs and back till evening.

The Hundru falls situated in the town of Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand.Highest waterfall present in the state of Jharkhand. The Hundru waterfalls are created from the Subarnarekha River.There are Fooding facilities দেশী মুরগী jhol with সাদা bhat.

There should be arrangements of palki or other things, which would be helpful for aged and sick people to go down and watch this spectacular view.

The only reason for 3star is due too bad washrooms in the tourism place. Government should have to see this as a big point,if washrooms will not good how people will come and enjoy the place. This is basic needs for the tourist place.

A really good natural Waterfall. One of the best places to explore near Ranchi.

One of the most famous waterfalls of Jharkhand, it is a marvel of nature indeed.The only problem is that it has 780 stairs, which a person has to descend to view the falls, which is a big deal for elder people.So, it is better if you leave behind the elder people of your group in one of the many shops near the entrance.

Lovely scenery specially for adventure lovers.There is a peaceful environment where we really feel the love mother earth.

Good place for weekend, total 950-980 stairs (up & down).Can be visited along with Family. Good place for photography. But need to be extra careful while going on stones as some of them are slippery so need to be very careful.You may purchase local hand made items of wood.

Climbing 750 steps and it was all worth it. I was awe struck by the viwe. White shimmering water were falling infinitely.

It is approximately 40 kms from Ranchi. And approximately 1400 steps up-down is there. But I would recommend to visit there. After visiting the place there will be no feeling of tiredness.

Lovely scenic beauty. 735 step stairs to go downwards to view the beauty from front of the falls.cold Drinks,tea,sattu,Puri are available for breakfast. Rs 10 you have to pay for tickets. Car parking charge rs 30. No staying are available here.

This is spectacular. In monsoon water Splash can be enjoyed.

I love this place. Nice to see the beauty during September and October, just after the monsoon. But the artificial concrete steps, railing and the plastic packets/ bottles lefted by the visitors somewhat hampered the natural beauty and also the religious activities in the fall looks odd. Administration must take necessary action.

Beautiful place . ❤️Its one of the famous waterfalls of jharkhand. A common tourist place. The fall is so beautiful ,you can stay there for hours and even take a bath but be careful coz its quite slippery especially during the rainy season. We went during the rainy season itself, have to say the view was so mesmerizing!! Have fun 😊

Awesome place but you have go by 800 stairs

This place is beautiful but the entry/exit time sucks. We reached the place at 4:10pm and were refused to enter but there are few other entry points that requires not so Authorization which I would suggest you can avoid as we have. Rest Place was wonderful, less crowded and picturesque atmosphere. There are pictures which were taken from that other gate which you have to avoid.

On the course of the Subarnarekha River where it falls from a height of 98 metres (322 ftcreating one of the highest water falls in the state. The spectacular scene of water fall it height has been described as a sight to behold. The different formations of rock due to the erosion by the constantly falling of water have added to the beauty of the place.

Nice place to see the waterfalls from the front. Our driver took another way to see the waterfalls. I went down only 50 stairs to take the photos.

Best place if you want to spend your day. You can buy some good stuff of pure wood at very cheap price here. Please buy you will love this and the food, OMG specially the dehati chicken and rice. Bestest I have had ever.

lovely...just lovely....you can visit here with friends or family(but senior citizens...if someone have leg related prblm can not stair down to the falls...)....you have to go through 750 stairs to go down to the falls.....there is a boat made with bamboo by whick you can go to the falls and feel the water sprinkles...per gead 25/-....you can click picture by dslr per pic 30/-you can buy wooden crafts if you have bergaining skill you will get cheaper rate... one thing if you like to do "mehendi" in your hand...you can get it here...but ask properly thd price as they say henna for 10 rs....but they charge 10/- per design.....so before star clear it....you can get tiffin..cold drinks...available.....there is a guest house..with rooms and bathrooms attached....and also a bathroom is there outside the guesthouse...overall a good place to enjoy

Waterfall is beautiful but no other amenities not even proper toilet. No eateries. There are 745 steps but a very easy climb even oldies can do it easily. Its advisable to take the staircase route only the view is best only in this route the locals will suggest you other routes dont take that. We did it in little rain but still it was fine.

Lovely place for a day out. One can enjoy zipping above the scenic view. The place is well maintained by the authorities.Entry tickets are priced at a minimal Rs 10.

Nice Waterfall located in Jharkhand. It is a well known and can be visited during rainy season with friends and family by any means of transportation.

Visited the place during the month of October..it was a sunny day..dont forget to take hat to protect from sunlight...the scenic beauty is one that attracts people..I liked the place ...went to the thermal power side...a local small dhaba is there where u can get food, but ensure to give them enough time to prepare ... as it is the lower side of the water fall u can enjoy bathing there being careful...if u are interested to do photography prefer early morning time...

One of the most beautiful places around Ranchi in Jharkhand.We can easily cover this place to and fro within 5 hours. Ambience is pure and natural and water is clear.Will not recommend it for senior citizens though.Must visit place to enjoy Nature

super awesome falls, it is the tallest falls in Jharkhand, 60+ meters. A place worth visiting a few times . There is a place at the top of the falls which need an hour long hike to reach so they do not allow people to cross the checkpoint after 4pm. There is an alternative spot at the bottom of the falls which is accessible and worth it. We took a local guy looking to earn a few bucks as a guide.

This place is awesom for one day visit. I really feel for villagers who does not have much exposure to the todays world. So many talents exist for hand made products but lack of attention by government.

Great water fall in jharkhand. To go down you cross over 781 step.one of the place to enjoy picnic. Surrounding nature beauty is awesome. In the early morning try to see the sun rise from the brize its beautiful.

Hundru waterfalls is located about 25km away from the city of Ranchi. Tourists can easily reach here by road. The waterfalls is on the majestic river Swarnarekha, which falls at a height of about 250 feet, making a spectacular view. It is a major tourist destination in Ranchi, people love to visit this place round the year. The fall is surrounded by lush green environment which makes tourists love this place. Various types of local handicrafts are sold by people here. But there is a sad reality that tourists who came here to enjoy the beauty of nature makes the place dirty by throwing plastics plates, bottles and various other garbage all over the falls. Hope this can be changed some day.

It is the 34th highest waterfall in India. And one of the highest waterfall in Jharkhand. You have to go down through 700+ stairs for a magnificent view, Although you will listen the voice as you reach half way. Its not tough to go down neither to go up.

This place is very beautiful. People often come here for doing picnic. Enough space for keeping cars and cooking . This waterfalls is superb. You can hear the sound of falling water at a long distance . But the most irritating of all these is there you can hardly find out bathroom for taking bath . Urinals are not so neat and clean . Otherwise , this tourist spot is beautiful to spend time with family and friends.

Very good water falls,Its slippery and danger selfie zones r there more.Too many people in winter come and visit.Less people follow the mask restrictions.Lots of shops are there nearby.all the food contains mustard oil.Most people do picnic here.The entree fee is Rs.60 per person.There is zip line trip above the falls too.

Went there after a very long time. Place has changed and for good. It is very beautiful. The fall is awesome. Must visit if you are in Ranchi. Very clean. Not good eateries around. But Dhabas on the way. They have added Zip Line. View is good from top.
