Hummus House in Allentown

When I tell you this was the best sandwiches I had in my life I mean that ! Idk who’s idea it was to toast the cheese on the bread of the gladiator sandwich but sir/ma’am I assure you , you are doing gods work ! Salad was also fresh , crunchy , tart , sweet all at the same time ! I loved every bite !

An eclectic menu with lots tasty options. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great for lunch or dinner.

This is my favorite restaurant on the street, I always love the food I order. There are so many options for all dietary preferences or restrictions. Food is made fresh and the servings sizes are large enough to really fill you up or you can save some for later. Cant wait to try more of the menu!

Fantastic dishes of all varieties. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, but their meatless dishes are superb. I think I would go so far as to call Hummus House the best casual dining on South Side. Now that they have smoothies, theyre even better!

I’ve been there a couple times now and I can honestly say,” Do not go during the afternoon dinner rush”! Idk if a different cook comes in but the food is like night and day. I got the vegan Buffalo cauliflower Mac and cheese and it was horrible. They put banana peppers hot peppers and celery. CELERY in the Mac and cheese. Got some southwest chicken bowl on the special and idk if I’m eating dry chicken or wet toast.

Order on the phone today for a TBA (Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich but turned it into a Wrap. This place is vegan friendly but also features meat for those that eat it.

So great! We had the Beyond cheeseburger burrito, vegetarian chicken cheesesteak, vegetarian chicken Caesar wrap, and Beyond loaded cheese fries. Staff was friendly and everything was delicious!

I was blown away by the flavor of the food that soo good I highly recommended if your into vegan or vegetarian food. Even if you have never tried it you wont be disappointed at all.

Hummus was bland and doesn’t come with pita bread. Gyro is served with too many vegetables that led to it being soggy. Gyro also wasn’t served in a pita but a tortilla. A much better place nearby is Limon

Third time here GOOD EVERYTIME! So far we’ve tried the Garlic Chicken Panini, Falafel Salad, Falafel Gryo. all were very GOOD. Yet my FAVORITE is the Falafel Cheese Steak 🤪🤤🤤🤤👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾

I’m so excited hummus house is even closer to where I live now!!! I used to go there when it was in Allentown before covid and then I found out they had moved to Bethlehem and I’m so happy! The quality is 10/10 and the serving size you get for the price is great! They’re going to have a smoothie and juice bar soon as well!! Right in downtown south side of Bethlehem I highly recommend! I ordered the falafel gyro

I love it. Its super delicious. The.cashier is so wonderful, polite and just a doll. Everything is genuinely fresh and tasty.

The food was great and different from other eateries that serve middle eastern food, however, if you have special dietary needs, I suggest calling to talk to someone vs ordering online. We have some food allergies in our family, and although I noted this on that (advertised as VEGANorder, we still had an allergic reaction that night. I’m thinking someone accidentally put tzatziki sauce on that meal. We will be back and recommend, but not with the allergy person nor would I recommend to anyone with food allergies. Note that you need to park across the street to pick up, and there’s no close crosswalk, so be careful when crossing the street!

Delicious brussle sprouts burrito. Street parking is limited and theres signs everywhere in the restaurant warning not to park in the residential lot behind the building (youll be towed!)

Fantastic food and service. They recommended the Falafel burrito and it was delicious! Will definitely be returning very soon!

So Im updating my review from 3 yrs ago to reflect both the growth and new location of the Hummus House!They have moved from Allentown over to Bethlehem on 3rd Street. Their menu and service have always been great, but the new updated, renovated space is the icing on top. Their vegan Mac n Cheese is literally award winning and its so fun to explore all their other creations. The Buffalo Chicken Panini and the Cheesesteak are favorites. They offer many vegan options including sweets. As vegetarians, I love that the Hummus House exists and its worth the lil bit extra drive now to get to their new location. We wish Albert and his son much luck at the new place!

Food was overpriced and not tasty. The ingredients were also wrong and they did not remake the wrap. And I paid over a dollar extra for hot sauce that they claimed was “homemade” but was obviously Frank’s Red Hot. Good idea to put medi spot in Bhem but it’s inauthentic and the food is strange

Their food has always been very good and they were very personable when my family and I would visit their restaurant. I really appreciated the father who would take time to talk with me and to even remember that my family and I had visited in the past. As of late though, I feel like the younger staff does not care as much about connecting with their customers. In addition, my take out order yesterday was not labeled which made it difficult to figure out which order was which. I wanted to communicate this because we visit your restaurant not just for the good food, but for your once great service. If you read this review, thank you for caring.

Ive been going to HH for about 6 years now, even with them moving to the new location. The food is and always has been outstanding. Ive even been lucky enough to spend some time with the family and they are definitely fantastic people. The amount of love and heart they put into their food is astounding. I definitely recommend that anyone who is looking for great food, give this place a try. They have both vegan and non-vegan food.

Staff was extremely nice, food wasnt what I expected but still was good. Small place, they wouldnt let us out two tables together for our party of 6. We were the only ones dining in. Id give them another try in the future and hope for a better overall experience.

The veggie and hummus wraps were good and reasonably priced but the employees have really bad attitudes. I had never been in before, so first thing I see when I walked in was a big, colorful menu on the wall. I walk up to read it and the guy behind the counter tells me that the stuff on the wall is not on the menu and to look at a stack of laminated menus on the counter. They should cover up the wall menu if its not currently being used. The guy was very frosty taking our order, and everyone else working there looked like they hated being there too. The inside of the space was cluttered and disorganized and there is no bathroom for patrons either.

I have to say i’ve been meaning to check out this restaurant forever and I finally got around to doing it today. My son and I went here Friday afternoon for some lunch. I loved sitting outside in the cool little eating area and a beautiful sunny day in downtown Allentown. They have an amazing selection of food and a very well priced. The people who worked here I’m very friendly and helpful from the time we got in till the time we left. My son had the Falafal Cheesesteak and I had the Beefy Piggy sandwich along with Spicy Avocado Hummus and 2 drinks came to $39. The food was outstanding not one complaint. Flavorful, hot delicious. They are moving to south side Bethlehem shortly so if you don’t get a chance to hit them up in Allentown you can check out the new spot in Bethlehem.

This place is like a hidden Gem! Visited once and had Lamb Shawarma it was Delicious! Must give a try!

My family & I have ordered from here twice, sadly there will not be a 3rd time. This time our food was a sloppy mess. Loaded with lettuce and a lot of sauce, but not much else. The bread was hard to eat, the bottom slice for one sandwich was so thin you couldnt even pick it up. They didnt have anymore veggie burgers, so we they replaced them with store bought impossible burgers, the ones you can get at Costco or any food store. The worse part is they charged us extra even though they couldnt fulfil our order properly. $12 plus for a disappointing sandwich (no sides, no extras). All 5 of us were very unhappy.

I cant speak more highly of Hummus House!! They always get our orders correct and the prices are set well for the quality of food. Theyre very good with Celiac Disease and having options available to those who cannot eat gluten or are avoiding it for any reason. Love love love their food!!!

This place was amazing. Im not from this area, so I was just looking for a good place to eat whole traveling through. This place has really delicious Mediterranean food, American food, and a huge vegetarian/vegan menu. There is no seating inside right now due to Covid, but we were able to sit on the benches outside to eat since the weather was nice. We ordered the Falafel Cheese Steak, the Fiery Chipotle Falafel Panini, the Beyond Cheeseburger Loaded Cheese Fries (all vegan), and 4 baklavas: peanut butter and jelly, almond, hazelnut, and pistachio (some vegan, some not). Everything was delicious. My favorites were the Falafel Cheese Steak and the pistachio baklava. The loaded fries were pretty amazing too! I will definitely come back here whenever Im in the area again. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos until after we had eaten most of the food!!! But I did manage to get a couple photos...

I got the chicken shawarma, sooo delicious! The entire wrap was very flavorful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good, fresh, and healthy food with tons of flavor!

Literally cannot say enough great things about this place! The owner is the nicest person you will meet. And their food is phenomenal I do not go anywhere else but here for hummus for starters, and whenever I have a fresh food craving I stop by, you cant beat their quality or their prices and they have a vegetarian and vegan friendly menu which is great for my family as we have some of both and some meat eaters as well who enjoy their deli spread and beyond! I would eat here every day if I could Haha. Love it!!

We tried original panini falafel, All american impossible burger and spinach pie. We liked falafel and burger but spinach pie was okay. Prices are higher but food was good. Most important it provides lot of vegan and vegetarian option. For vegetarians like us its good. I would recommend trying food there.

Came in about 20 minutes until closing time. There were four or five people hanging out in the dining room eating. Is a really nice evening after a stressful day, and I was looking forward to chilling on their patio for just a few minutes before heading home. It doesnt take long to eat one falafel wrap but the dude behind the counter seemed intent on getting me out of there, and simply handed me my sandwich packed in a styrofoam box and asked if I need some napkins for the road. Never asked my intention. The $10+ falafel wrap was mediocre, deflated, the falafel crumbly and unnecessary styrofoam unnecessarily sucks. At least it was garnished with some flimsy unnecessary plasticware tossed in as an afterthought in an unnecessary plastic bag.

Best food Ive had in a long time. Fresh, hot, good price, and a giant portion. Super friendly staff and a really cool environment. I wish I lived nearby because this would be a place Id frequent.
