Love it! Love the Tiki theme, the music and the fun cocktails. Everything is really well done, always very busy when Ive gone which just adds to the fun atmosphere

Really cool little place that makes you feel like your on holiday, good atmosphere to start off your night but it closed kind of early. I enjoy watching bouncers and how they handle themselves in altercations and this guy had outstanding people skills and was able to defuse a situation while remaining professional at all times, I’d recommend this bar as all staff seemed to do an excellent job

Best bar for Rum in Perth

Can not rate this funky little intimate bar highly enough. Fantastic drinks, fantasic service, fantastic atmosphere. 5+ stars.

Great rum choices , cocktails are superb. Good old calypso tunes from the Caribbean. They have the best rums from Trinidad , Guyana and other West Indian Isles.

A cute little bar, away from the usual drinking district. This Polynesian theme bar is well decorated with a positive attitude and energetic vibe. Yes there is theme specific music and the sounds of wild animals played on a loop, but I didnt really notice after a while. They have a selection of cocktails. I had the pina Colada, which honestly was pretty average. Staff were very friendly and polite. Overall experience was good.

Long live the Hula Bula Bar! a venue which has maintained its distinct style & quality attributes (despite change of original ownership and all the years). Staff are genuine & fun, drinks are really good and its almost guarantee you will snap out of your boring old self to enjoy your time spent there.

Went there a few years back for my friends birthday and the cocktails are sooo good. Nice atmosphere too 🙂

Excellent service from very friendly team. No complaints on that front looked exactly how you imagine it to look. My only complaint was the music. I understand its a hula bar....but that music gets annoying fast especially when its that loud. Only stayed for one drink, Which was lovely.Definatly a niche market. Good luck to the owners

One of our favourite places to go. Great cocktails and selection of rums. Great atmosphere. Drinks are on the pricey side but worth the money.

Nice little bar, completely differnt to anything else youll find in perth cbd. Drinks however where over priced and rather average tastingcompared to other bars the specialisein cocktails. Due to covid restrictions security where only letting limited numbers in and making sure everyone had a designated table to sit at (as you had to be seated whilst at the venue). This was no big deal I understand and respect the restrictions that where in place. However after a few drinks both me and my partner went to the toilet upon returning to our table, they had seated another group in our spot and discarded our drinks that werent %100 finished. Didnt bother arguing about this at the time just went to the next venue as I didnt want to waste any more money on over priced drinks.

Myself and a few friends went to Hula Bula last night, and didn’t end up spending any money due to the disrespect from the guy on the door. When I showed him my ID, he told me I’d be a lot more attractive if I had long hair back and lost my glasses, as shown on my ID. This left a poor lasting impression and we soon left. I will not be recommending this bar to anyone with a pulse. First impressions are key to good bar experiences.

Best cocktail bar in perth so much fun!

Owner was very rude to a friend some time ago who wanted at the time to have a photo (As was the done thing back home- he then attempted to berate her as she didnt realize he was the manager when she emailed to complain. He was obnoxious to say the least and accused her of being rude, and admitted someone had yelled rude things out at her but was allowed to stay at the bar.Just now tried to book table from 430-630pm on a Saturday and was refused "Due a long standing policy of not allowing bucks, hens or party buses). And also noted they refuse entry as well on those grounds on the day . Discrimination at its finest tbh. We booked an early spot to have some food and drinks. Hardy a rager. It was up to 10 people. Imagine turning people away because you dont want a certain type of group in. Pretty sure other clubs etc get in trouble for this.....You may be a niche bar - but youll be an empty one if you keep being so disgraceful to potential clients.

Cocktails are pure deliciousness and they have a wow effect with how they attractive they look. I loved the space decor the most though. It’s like I wasn’t in Perth but some exotic country.

One of my favourite bars in Perth. Was served by a French Canadian bar tender who made great cocktails but was also a lot of fun. Its the people like her that make this place.

what a terrible experience!!!! we actually drank expired beer, we get to know after we finished. its not about our money and that we drank!!!! its about your service!!! not even approached to us for sorry , didnt offer anything. being in same industry (hospitalityi feel very very bad for you people working there. shame on you!hope you dont serve expired beer again. how would you expect people to come back!! making your atmosphere dark doesnt mean people cant read the bottle!!!!

Great drinks and a cool place to be! Would recommend to go there for a cocktail but beware of the overpriced tiki mugs! Got this one for $50 but saw one online from the brand’s website for $15!

Possibly the oldest and best Tiki bar in Australia?They have not only amazing crew, Cocktails and vibe but also a Rum Club thats been active for over 10 years. Amazing!

Nice atmosphere, nice service. Would have liked to have tried more cocktails but the menu is a little bit like a wall of text where most descriptions sound the same. Heard the old menu had some pictures of the cocktails. Maybe if pictures take up too much room having something like a light drawing of the cocktail behind the description would help customers make choices about their drinks?

Nice quiet bar. Considering pretty much all they do is rum, they have a wide variety of drinks to suit pretty much all tastes.

If you like a cocktail, this place is for you. The venue is bigger than it first appears, with extra seating out the back. They do great fish bowls which contain far more booze than you realise. Certainly worth dropping in on a night out.

This is a fun little Tiki bar tucked under a boring hotel. So different and well worth a drink or two

Great little tiki bar. Massive selection of rums. Its just so small, so can get a big line if you get here late. The staff are super friendly and helpful but (and this is not their faultbut service can be so slow because all their cocktails are so complex and creatively decorated, with a huge amount of attention to detail. Only negative is that the drinks are pretty expensive, but if you are prepared for that, they are totally worth it.

Who needs a time machine when you can visit the Hula Bula? Detailed tiki decor, extensive menu of exotic cocktails and mind blowing music mixing Ultra-Lounge, Northern Soul, bluebeat, beatnik jazz and British beat bands. Sheer heaven.
