Preserved mansion with historic interiors dating from the time when Emperor Wilhelm II lived here.
Great place to visit. The house tour is well worth the price.
Nice place to walk around with many oak and beech tree. The house has tours during weekdays but not in the weekend. We had a wonderful time as in every room a volunteer was present to answer all the questions you have about the last emperor of Germany.
Nice place.
Very good
Very good guides. A look into a life quite different from the lives most of us live. Make sure to check out the kaizers dog graves. Wish there were more to the pavilion-museum, which feels a bit thrown together.
We really enjoyed the guided tour.
One of the best museum in the Netherlands, the tour guide was amazing, she told us so many interesting stories about the collection and interior which you will never find on wikipedia
Very informative
A really interesting museum and exhibition, if you are interested in the history of royalty the you should visit it. Unfortunately it does not offer guided tours in english
Nice historical sightseeing
Winter/Christmas market like all the others. But, not too crowded and the setting is alright. Restroom space is limited 🙄
Worth to visit!
A historical snapshot from the time of the German Kayser, this state house preserves the memories in a mint condition house. Tours are well organized and in every room volunteer staff is availing themself to give ample explanation. Check the special fork on the dinner table!
I have to admit, that i enjoyed my stay here. I loved feeding the dogs and walking with my dogs. It was a great exile and a beautiful home. There, I had everything a man needs, a family...
A history gem in the Netherlands. The last German Kaiser rests in this place.
Very interesting history about the German kaiser Wilhelm II who lived and died here after the First World War.
Nice audio-tour, also guides in every room to tell you about the history. Beautiful environment.
Very nice
Big old relaxing park with rosarium. Not many people, nice place to walk
Amazing piece of history, enthousiastically narrated by engaged guide. Well worth a visit. Dont forget to visit the nearby Castle Amerongen that also played a role as backdrop to the Emperors downfall.
Nice park, house and extra exhibition area to spend a couple of hours or so. I enjoyed the guided tour but it was only in Dutch. Parking was just outside the main entrance and it was free (but maybe it was only because it was February; there was a gate there). I was not lucky with the garden (Februarybut I look forward to visiting again later, when the rosarium is in flower. Entrance is free with a Dutch Museum card.
Excellent museum, great exhibits and the guided tour very informative.
Its a good place to go and spend the afternoon or take a stroll.
Authentic insight into the last years of the exiled German Keyser.
sat outside at the resturant great view and gardens. manor house of german emperor wilhem II interesting history
I didnt get in the museum yet but the historical event was really nice. Theyve shown the ancient world up untill the second world war with re-enactments and a lot of small places you can visit.
Nice location with a nice rose garden. There is a restaurant here where you can sit and have something to eat while looking out over the grassy area and the main building. We were here during an event featuring historic events, which made it even more special. I can absolutely recommend going here, especially if the weather is good.
Interesting place that gives you an insight in some of the circumstances and consequences of the Great War (ww1).
Great history! Beautifully maintained
Fine. Unless you speak English, then you just wander around confused
Amazing, really beautiful and well kept.
Very nice museum with very nice staff
To be visited only with a (knowlegabletour guide.
Good relic exposition. Limited time
Beautiful historically beautiful estate, last residence of the deposed German Emperor Wilhelm II.
Great day-trip out on a sunny day
Beautiful house, inside and out! Definitely worth the trip👍
An historical place, beautiful lay out. A garden that you can explore.
Be sure to be on time before the guided tour starts otherwise you wont be able to enter the house. My impression about the tour is good, because it was the spark the enriched my knowledge about the Kaisers role in German society, their way of life and the interconnection among all royal families in Europe. I believe that this landmark is one of many important spots to be visited in the Netherlands, outside the capital Amsterdam.
Beautiful grounds. Completely unique and interesting history.
One of the best Museums Ive been to! The volunteers that run the place are very nice and they make the guided tours a lot of fun with their stories and trivia. Highly recommended!
Very interesting historical visit in a very nice place. The volunteers that run the place were very kind and made the guide great. Id totally recomend it to to anyone interested in german and dutch history.
This is a great place to visit and view history with reference to Kaiser Wilhelm 11 after WW1 where he lived until he died
This mansion provides a nice insight into the final years of the German emperor, just after World War I. The place had hardly changed since then and breathes German grandeur cramped into a small Dutch mansion. You can only visit the house with a guided tour that will take for about an hour but is definitely worthwhile.Around the house is a park that is perfect for a leisurely walk. The former orangery serves nice drinks and pastries, and even lunch.
Nice guides with intersting stories.
Very interesting place to experience. The guide was very well informed. The tour is a must
Detailed historical information by knowledgeable volunteers. Rooms beautifully maintained in original state
Lots to see and great tour guide. This guy wasnt just rich, he was unbelievably rich.
A visit is an adventure: you are exposed to the european history eith a focus on German Kaizer willhelm-II between 1920-1941He brought expensive variety of art items as well ad jewellery and drcorated the house wisely.
Home of Kaiser Wilhelm II from 1918-1941. The volunteers in each room have a wealth of knowledge, be sure to ask them your questions!Covered by the national museum card.Very friendly staff and building and items are in stellar condition.
