Huerquehue National Park in Pucón

The hike is up... That is the "hard" part, but definitely worth your time!

Nice park, where one can see 3 pristine alpine lakes along with two large waterfalls on the way. As of Oct 2022, the trails were muddy and largely covered in snow making the hike quite difficult. I imagine the experience is even better in summer or fall👍

Beautiful park with nice hikes. There is still snow in the end of September on part of the 3 lakes route.

A very nice park. The fact that there is actually transportation to it helps (bus to and from Pucón twice a day).

Beautiful forest and friendly staff. Make sure you go early enough if you want to do the full trails, it’s not your average walk in the park. If you go with the bus you arrive at 9h30 and the bus back is at 17h10. So doing the lagoon walk which is around 700m of walking up and 16km in length can take a while.The first waterfall (Nido de aguilais a good spot to take some typical waterfall pictures.

Good place to know, but it requires almost a full day.

The best hiking place Ive ever been, the green forest, the mountais, the lakes, amazing! I did the Lakes Trail, it was beautiful and family friendly

Beautiful and gorgeous National Park, the walk to the Laguna Verde took us about 2 hrs but the view is breathtaking and worth it. Was a very hard hike in a very stepped hill, so might not be suitable for everyone. The price for adults is $3500 clp and foreign tourists $7000 clp

The lovely lakes and cascades are worth the ascent. Good option for a day trip.

Tres Lagos is a great hiking trip yeah, but if you are really into it, then try the Dan Sebastian. He has its hardcore hiking moments with Heidis field, the fantasy Forrest and the root worlds. We came up with these names for the different areas we saw while hiking up the Sebastian!Its cool to collect some Ice at the top and put it in your drinking bag if u have one 😉The 360 ° view is pretty impressive and we heard that you can see 7 vulcanos from up there.It also has some.nice camping spots

The scenery is stunning and the trees awesome but I found the almost complete lack of information about the park surprising and very disappinting. I found other parks administered by CONAF had lots of information about ecology, the trails and so on but not Huerquehue, just a basic map on the wall where they take your money. For an example of really good interpretation, go to the equally wonderful Refugio El Caňi. Both places are easily accessible from Pucón by car or local bus.I

There are some incredible views from the park, like the Pucon river to the Villarrica volcano. The place is amazing. The entrance fee is 3500 pesos for Chilenos and 7000 for other nationalities. A fair price if you like hiking.

Be sure to pack your good hiking gear as there are very long and hard trails at this park. For those with little patience or accessibility problems there is a little trail down to the main lake that is also wheel chair accessible. Highly recommended, especially in winter with the snow.

This place is absolutely awesome! The san Sebastian trail is not the easiest but the view from the top is absolutely worth it. If you start hiking early its very nice. The camping area is pretty nice and has warm water. 100% recommended!

We visited Huerquehue NP for some day trekking on the recommendation of our AirBnB host. We were not disappointed with the sights and trekking, but the cost of 12,000 Chilean Pesos seemed rather steep- especially as international visitors to Chile are charged more than the Locals. A Chilean visitor to the UK is able to visit any British National Park, free.

Bon dia de trekking.

Nice hike.But you should note that the time the hike takes according to the signs are one waySo muliply them by 2. We didnt know this and it almost got us stranded in the woods in the dark. In November all the information booths were closed so no way to find out.

Incredibly gorgeous...we were there in the fall and the colors and peaceful waters are unbeatable.

Went hiking with my Club, walking from the entrance of the Conaf camping, and ended at the San Sebastian hot springs.... everything was.perfect. So many beautiful lakes and ancient araucaria trees! Absolutely recommended, but taking care of nature.

Went in December, and I can tell that its one of the most beautiful sceneries that Chile could offer. Hiking up until Lago Verde was medium in difficulty, but so beautiful! Worth every step up hill 😉 Prepare to take a very cold bath in Lago Verde, amazing!!!

This is a fabulous place for a day hike. We spent 8 hours on the trail. The scenery and views are spectacular. We also enjoyed seeing old-growth trees and the unique Araucanía trees.

The views for the lakes, the accessibility for cars, and the trails are really well planned.The trails are rather short, the lengthier one is just 2 days long.

Beautiful park. We went in the winter and hiked sendero los Lagos and it was absolutely stunning in the snow. If you are in the area you cant miss this park!

We had a wonderful stay in this National Park. The woods are really beautiful with some very old trees and the different lakes are just magical !The water is deeply blue and very clean. Dont miss the waterfalls, we visited the second one which was amazing (see picture below).

Amazing place. Did the trail to the 3 lagoons. Beautiful waterfalls and views of the Villarrica volcano in the way. Very natural place.
