Great service, and i love how all the waiters help each other, and the food is just as amazing. Had pizza nachos and wings, will try their burgers next time. But their food is really good value for money.

Mixed experience:Had the chili poppers and burgers.Chili poppers were exceptionally small for the price you pay. Not your standard popper size (we know as we’ve been in the catering industry ourselvesbut nonetheless tasty.I had the chicken burger - cooked to perfection. Getting chicken perfectly cooked can often be a challenge for many cooks but Hudson’s delivered really well.Husband had the pork belly burger, also excellent.Overall great food, but service was a rather slow. We’ve had better service here in the past. Nearly went to order our drinks from the bar ourselves because service was that slow. Restaurant wasn’t that full at the time of being seated, we sat near the kitchen, inside so it’s not like we were being overlooked either. Would rate a 5star, but service can be better.First beer was flat, we did bring it to the bartender’s attention but he insisted it was “fine”. Again, we come from the industry so we know when food or drinks are not up to standard. Had another beer later, which was actually better.Management on the other hand, always friendly and helpful. Thank you.

We ordered pizzas on Tuesday for 2 to 1 and we were told all the pizzas were half price. When the bill came we had to pay full price for some pizzas that were not half price. Would not recommend.

Great place with good food. I liked the atmosphere and how accommodating they were. The staff was super friendly and we loved our waitress Evian. She made the experience fun and was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Definitely ask for her when you go there. Best waitress ever.

Had a great dinner here. We were served by a waitress named Moisha and I highly recommend you seek her out if you come to visit. Great service, great meal and the most delicious craft beer!

Busy, noisy, food was very average. Drunk noisy patrons, service average, steak cold, burger very average, small portions, not what it was 2 years ago. Menus grubby and dirty, table dirty, more like a pub with food than a restaurant. Pity, because it used to be very good.

We had just arrived in the town and were looking for a quick bite to eat and found Hudsons, we were seated and served by Rachel, we placed our order for refreshments and food at the same time the drinks were delivered promptly and our food several minutes later very quick service to our surprise.The pizzas were very good and as it was the special of the day got 2 for the price of 1. Will visit again before we return to Johannesburg and again well done Rachel great service, and always smiling so nice to see these days

It is a good place for dining out. We were three and looked after very well by Ema, a student who works hard on her study and job. The atmosphere was good and there are options to sit outside and inside.

The waiters are absolutely horrible and rude, usually I respect that waiters have a terrible job but we had to ask twice just to get a waiter to serve us after 30 min of waiting and were extremely rude when we asked to be served. The restaurant wasnt busy at that time and the waiters just stood around. The food really wasnt worth the trouble or the price, frankly McDonalds would be a much beter option.

Had my 20th year birthday 🎂 here. Just myself and mom. It was Pizza Tuesday. 2 pizzas for 1.The waitress offered a special waffle 🧇 on the house.Will definitely come here again.

I had a great time dining at Hudsons with a group of my friends. The restaurant has a really good vibe and is the perfect spot for friends or family to get together. The food was great and the service was even better. Our waitress name was Daniela, and she made us feel very welcome. She did her job extremely well and was happy to assist as soon as we had any questions.

Update: After 4 submissions on their website, Hudsons have not addressed this complaint or made contact. Cant believe a brands customer care is managed this way.On the occasion that we order Uber Eats, it is always Hudsons, but last night would be the last time we order anything from Hudsons again.  My experience the last 2 times we ordered from Hudsons Stellenbosch:We had an order with 3 items (burger, chips and a salad). On delivery, the salad was omitted.  I then tried calling the store and struggled for 45min until someone answered. They proceeded to tell me I need to order again on Uber Eats, they will only then start to prepare it and then they will deliver it.  With an approximate time of 60min. The person answering my call was very nonchalant and did not seem at all sorry for missing half of the order and tried to blame Uber Eats the whole time. At the end I just left it as it was already late and waiting another 60min was not worth it.We ordered again (burger, chips and a salad). On the instructions, I said "dressing on the side" (this is just common sense in any case for a salad and delivery).  However, this is how I received my salad:It was drenched in dressing, so much that I removed the contents from the container to pat it down as I was ultimately eating soup.The only feta in the container was a little bit that was smudged on the side of the container.I had three small bits of avo that tasted spoiled (those brown types of avos).Due to the amount of dressing and warm chicken on the salad - Everything was watery, wilted, and tasted exactly the same.Moreover, the burger received was dry and not the usual standard of food received.Im not sure what happened over the last few months with your branch, but the quality of food and service is definitely not the same. To be honest it is just sad and abominable.10/10 would not recommend or order again!

Just the best there is to experience! The staff are amazing! Hands down the best burgers we have ever had! Itll change your life guys... And your religion! Youll walk out there like... Holy Hudsons that was good!

A great space with excellent service. Our waiter was very friendly and could make suggestions regarding the menu. The vibe was enjoyable. The cocktails were really great and tapas was even better. Perfect space to pop by when driving through stellembosch.The only downside was that we could find parking and as to park far from the restaurant

Great food and drinks selection with an awesome atmosphere for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The cocktail special was strong and super tasty! Our server, Chloe, was very attentive and polite. The manager, Kyra, made a point of greeting our table and checking how things were going. This kind of treatment is dying out across the town so it’s refreshing to see this still happens at Hudsons.

Maya was our amazing waitress! Great service, great food and the live music was EVERYTHING!!!We will be back!

More 2,5 stars.It is very loud inside, as well if its almost empty. The staff is very friendly but you need time if you want to eat something.45min between order and till I got, for just a vegetarian Burger.

Always such a lovely experience with Emma as my bubbly waitress. She creates a warm and welcoming experience at Hudsons, and has great recommendations when I just cant seem to decide what to order - we both love the chicken calzoncini!Who doesnt love yummy food, free wifi... and maybe a sneaky brandy special ;)

Good crowd and easy going vibe all round especially on a sunny Friday afternoon on the terrace. Staff are friendly and helpful. Burgers were exactly what was required along with the extra cold draft beers to start off an evening of bar hopping. Drink responsibly.

Good burgers and great selection for vegans too. A bit small on the portions and fries are an extra rather than a standard, making the burger experience a little expensive, especially considering the student target market. Friendly service.

Where to start. The place is nicely located, warm and welcoming and usually buzzing with people.We arrived with about 20minutes left of happy hour an got our drinks no problem. When we ordered the next batch (bottles of wine and glassesthe restaurant seemingly ran out of clean glasses (on a Friday evening), so we had to wait 20mins for our wine. We ordered our meals and I want to commend the one waitress here. (whos name I did not get). I was so hungry and asked her if she could bring me a plate of chips while our food is being prepared. 2minutes later o had my chips.The food was average to be honest and quite cold, only the to was warm as it probably stood under the pass for a while. I ordered the samurai burger which was completely overpowered by raw hoisin sauce. The pork belly on it was delicious, as were the pickles, but the raw hoisin sauce overpowered everything. The rest of the burgers werent bad, bit the best out of the evening was the pizza.Our order was completely lost on the system and we had to write down everything we had to process the order again. We did so without any complaints. We asked for takeaway bowls which never came and we had to leave so much food there.The problem seemed to be the kitchen and bar, as our waitress, Haily was very friendly and transparent.Bad service for a birthday dinner, not ideal, youd expect better from one of the best burger joints in CPT.Id happily give it another try maybe at a different location.Beers were awesome, as always😂

I had one of the many vegan burgers on a Saturday afternoon oh my the flavour was amazeballs, onions rings great, chips a bit small, beer great, live music great and the vegan orea milkshake Nom Nom

It was okay. We went there for a quick lunch away from the office. I will not rate the place for its cleanliness, thats for sure. The outside table where we sat looked grubby. My gluten intolerant colleague order a "naked burger" and got a very unappetising looking patty with a thorn amongst the lettuce leaves to boot! I ordered a Chicken salad, which was surprisingly very tasty, but the green leaves/spinach - dont know what it was because it wasnt lettuce - filled half the bowl with the strips and avo arranged on top. The other burger orders at our table looked average, the chips average. As I wasnt paying, I dont know what the total bill was, but I would not say this is the burger spot for a discerning eater. I have tasted and seen burgers at other places that dont necessarily advertise themselves as burger specialists. A Stellenbosch student joint for sure where quality and presentation take backseat to table/seat turnover, methinks.

Burgers are perfect and they are not expensive. Staff friendly and the place was nice and clean. Vibe is also really chill. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff is super friendly. They accommodated me without a reservation and went out of their way to make sure that I have a nice comfortable seating inside. Chloe, the waiteress, was really sweet and amazing. I enjoyed her serving me. The food DID NOT disappoint!! That Chedder burger with the avocado and chips went down real good!! The cranberry juice was sublime. Compliments to the chef. Over all a very pleasant place to eat and relax on a late Saturday afternoon. Took my brownie dessert home. Wanted to enjoy the experience a little longer. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are in Stellenbosch please visit this restaurant. You will thank me!!!

Nice place in Stellenbosch, friendly staff. I am glad they have quite a few vegan options available, however it comes at a very steep price. The vegan burgers are about 30% more expensive than the meat option and even R36 more than a double stacked beef option. The burger I had was called the Game Changer.The same with the pizzas, you pay R119 for a pizza with no meat compared to R109 which you can choose options of chicken, bacon, beef mince. Maybe it was the avo on there that is cost more than meat?I have no complaints with the taste of the food it, but there a definitely more affordable restaurants to go to if you prefer vegan.

Had the nachos, burgers, and wings. Everything was pretty good. The burger portion was slightly small, but still really tasty. The cocktails are great. Had the fizzpop and a few other things, it did not disappoint. Happy to back there again. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was all friendly with a good working ethic.

I am a bit of an addict when it comes to Hudson’s – the burger joint in Stellenbosch. Whenever I am in the area I try go grab a burger there. The drinks are always cold in summer and their desserts and ice-cream range is simply delicious. Their burgers are their speciality though and once you have one it is not difficult to see whyIf you have never had a burger from Hudson’s then do yourself a favour and go get one

There are so many places proclaiming to be the “best-burger-in-Town”, so we had to try Hudson’s and see how they compare to the rest.Firstly, it’s a rather nice and quiet setting, can see that I’m sure Friday and Saturday nights can be a party, but for lunch, it was chilled.Drinks were good, so nice beers on tap, and the milkshakes looked insane!Burgers were good, where they they best, well, they had flavour, but they didn’t blow our minds, but were better than average.My only concern was that the tables were incredibly sticky, even after the friendly and well attentive staff wiped down the table.It’s on the expensive side, if you consider that you literally get just the burger and then you pay separately for the sides, which can make the simple burger a bit more expensive than other places.In short, it’s worth a visit, but we will be continuing our search for the best burger in town...

Went there for Harry Potter quiz. Such a fun evening. Waiters did an amazing job even though they were under staffed.

This tends to be our go to place as locals, so the opinion will in all honesty be biased. The fact of the matter is that this might be a restaurant chain, but this particular one is by far out shining its fellow namesakes. This place offers, as the name suggests, the most wonderful burgers. You can get quite jaw-locked on a player burger, stuffed with feta and avocado. Perhaps you fancy mouth watering cheddar cheese and mushrooms flowing over your chin as the sweet and salty tears of joys fill your eyes and starts rolling over your cheeks. These are good burger damn. So for all intensive purposes go there, get some beer, flirt a little, and then get burger wasted like a proper foodie. Im hungry for a burger now so I will end this review here. Ciao.

Great experience at Hudsons. The waitress Caitlyn gave us truly great/fast service from our drinks to the main meal! Music was good and in tone with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Coffee was incredible as it is the truth company beans! Burger was incredible, however was unaware that fries, onion rings or salad would be an additional cost (our oversight). Therefore the bill is quite steep for a burger and chips.Summary - good service and food comes at a price. Well done Hudsons! Will recommend you to all our EC travellers.

My wife and I had dinner here, the food was great, burgers were made really well and are definitely recommended.The mood of the place of the place is casual.The two issues I had was that after minutes of waiting, I had to get up and find a waitress to help us. And secondly there was a mix up with my wifes drink order.

Spent a Sunday afternoon enjoying the sunshine on the stoep.Food was excellent, but I think they may be understaffed for such busy times. The place was packed and our poor waitress was running herself ragged.The menu is great and there are options on there that I have never come across at any other restaurant before. Well done!The drinks menu is great too.
