Hudsons Guest House in Brighton

Really lovely hotel close by the sea. We were welcomed by the owner. She made us feel welcome. Nice steady bed!

We had a very nice room, bigger than any previous hotel Ive been in! It provided a TV, a kitchenette, a nice view and a nice bathroom as well as a kind of living area. It was well ventilated which was needed during this hot time and the service was lovely, was taken care of by a very sweet lady. They even provided free water bottles and complimentary soap. The rooms were clean, location was good, service nice, everything you could need.Only thing is the location, have to go up a big hill but it was really nice.Recommend.

Amazing location at a short walking distance from the beach. The room was clean and spacious with an en-suite bathroom with shower. There was also a fan provided which was very convenient after realising how hot it gets in Brighton during the day (relative I know). Even though I didn’t get a chance to stay in (if it had rained for exampleI would have been very happy to stay in the room all day! Stayed for 2 nights after extending the stay on the first morning and the lovely lady was very nice by giving good suggestions for places to visit. Will most likely stay here for my next visit:))

Clean , nice fridge in room, on main road but cant hear the traffic and good value for money its not the ritz but perfect for a place to stay for a weekend

The owner is lovely. They kept our bags on our last day after check out even though there were many of them.

It wasnt a great experience to stay at this hotel for a couple of days as the lights were not working(only the light from the bathroom and one of the lamps was working),the sink needed some repair and the cold water tap was wobbling ,the shower was either too hot or too cold,couldnt get the right temperature.The only good thing about that hotel is the location,thats it.

I love staying at Hudsons and I am quite a regular customer there as I always come and stay every 3 or 4 months and everytime I stay, this property exceeds my expectations. I admire the hardwork the staff put into keeping this place clean and how friendly the owner is. The rooms are quite classy for the good value for money price so it is always a win for me. Again an exceptional and lovely stay at Hudsons. These guys go above and beyond to ensure customer is first. I stayed last week for 3 nights and already planning to come back again. The hotel is found right close to the pier, in the heart of Kemptown which boasts very lovely eateries and has a very nice atmosphere to it. The room itself was just very lovely, very clean with fresh linen, with a boutique type air to it. Absolutely pleased with the place and will be back very soon. Thank you to the staff who were so so friendly. On another note, I am quite surprised to see some of the people who commented with a negative feedback are just the regular moaners who will never be pleased with anything. But I shall thank Sandra and her team of lovely people who ensured my stay was a pleasant one.

Amazing Hotel. I will be staying there during Pride weekend and just cannot wait as I have had a fantastic experience last time: beautiful boutique type rooms at very affordable prices and just amazing staff. My second visit hereLovely little place. Quiet and comfortable. Stayed in a compact double, which is very compact, but really comfortable bed with plenty of good pillows and a duvet. Small bathroom with a shower cubicle, nicely finished.Pretty good location for Brighton, albeit at the top of a fairly steep hill.Will definitely book again

We are extremely disappointed in the rooms offered at this ‘4’ star hotel. Before even getting into the room there was building works and loud drilling in the ground floor rooms. The cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms and non comparable to the pictures advertised on the website. As a result, we had to book another hotel for the night. We booked the hotel for a special occasion, and are distraught this is the case!

Lovely place to stay. Recieved a warm welcome on arrival and the room was well maintained to a high standard. Great location too, only a short walk to the beach or the shops.Definitely will stay again.Thanks guys!

The Hudsons is a lovely little pace and we have now been staying here monthly for almost a year the staff are wonderful and friendly and our staff love the basement room with own entrance its like a mini apartment

We had visit for few times last months. We stay in different rooms, but all the time they was clean and refill. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is really amazing, just few min from the sea and most famous local attractions. I will strongly recommend to everyone that want a quiet and lovely time.

I had a lovely experience staying in the Hudsons Guest House, I found the staff very welcoming and the room very comfortable and clean . The bed was excellent and firm the way I like it for a trouble free night of sleep the bathroom was very spacious and the towels were fluffy. I would like to come back again next year for another trip to the seaside and would highly recommend Hudsons Guest House.

I loved this hotel! The location was wonderful, close to the beach and attractions. We stayed there over the weekend and found the room clean and tidy, airy and neat. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Cant recommend enough!

Great location. No breakfast. Decor in room dated and the cleaning could be better. Bed comfortable. Toiletries good and plenty of towels. Zero sound proofing between rooms. Curtains useless at blocking light so I was woken at dawn every day with bright light in my face.

The room was clean and tidy along with the ensuite bathroom. The bed I slept in was really nice to sleep in and aside from my friend snoring, the experience was lovely.

A lovely little hotel in the heart of Kemptown, Brighton. The room was cosy and spacious for two people. The bed was soft and the facilities were great.We went to a bar in the city and came back very late, the hotel was warm and the decor was very easy on the eyes.All of the staff were warm and accommodating, a pleasant experience throughout!Ill definitely stay again!

Unique little guest house, quite small but the room was a decent size and well kept. Good location only a short walk away from the centre of town and quiet at night, apart from the squeaky floors in the floor above. Staff were pleasant and made sure I had all the information I needed.

Great host, room was small but this for us was not a problem, bed was comfy enough, shower was good , mind you it was possibly the noisiest shower ever, really good position for all the sights, so yes I would stay here again , even though there is no breakfast offerd this was not a problem as there is a brilliant cafe at the bottom of the road.

Excellent hotel the lady who sorts out check in was friendly polite and funny. The hotel allowed us to cancel one room at no extra charge. The hotel is close to the beach and main bars. The rooms were clean and comfortable we would use hudsons again.

What an absolutely beautiful little hotel, room was perfect, comfortable double bed, en suite and even got a view of the sea! The owner is such a lovely lady and so welcoming would highly recommend to anybody i meet! Sure i will be back. Thank you Chandnee.

The owner of the place has been really helpful and considerate with any requests we had! The rooms are nice, clean and cosy for a reasonable price.

Cheapest place I could find so wasnt expecting much, but a delightful lady owner sorted my parking situation and made me feel very welcome. Clean tidy rooms and plenty of coffee and tea etc available.

Having stayed in this hotel for over several years we really like it, the breakfast are always good room is always tidy. The guys that run it are very friendly and the young lady that helps them out called Betty is lovely. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

Located off St. James Street this B&B is a gem. The room was large with a very comfortable double bed. The en-suite facilities a good with an excellent shower. The room also has the usual stuff but all done to a good standard. The excellent breakfast featuring a very tasty mixed grill was a treat.Informal and easy going with a lot of charm.Well worth considering a stay here.
