Hudson Valley MOCA - Art museum in Peekskill, United States
Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.

I hated every second in that ugly place.
This museum uses its juried/open exhibition to increase membership numbers. They require artist submissions to pay for a full membership at the museum on top of a submission fee. It seem unethical to milk struggling artists to increase their membership numbers rather than doing the real work of a museum by finding rich patrons. Its lazy leadership and a sad approach to doing museum business. Dont support museums with this type of practice. Youre only hurting local artists by supporting them.
Very nice little Art Museum.
The couple who owns this gallery has made a very good effort to bring culture and art to the Peekskill community. Their instillations are always interesting and thought provoking. This latest exhibit was the collaboratin of two curators who obviously had a feel for one another and their decisions worked well for their intended audience.
Very awesome! So cool
I went to see the museum Friday the 27th. I rang the bell not knowing weather it was open or if that was how to enter. Turns out they were closed for install. A very rude woman came out from the back and Scolded me. I hope to go back after install and enjoy the museum. I became a member this year because the venue looks amazing and its so close to where we live in Beacon. The location is great and they have parking. I recommend stopping into the museum.
Beautiful art. Telent
Friend of mine, a place where we play dominoes
Interesting and thought provoking
Beautiful museum, kind staff and interesting arts.
Awesome
Great local art museum.
Limited space, odd exhibition.
A lot of fun.
Wonderful museum with an eclectic collection. A local treasure soon to gain broader attention. A deep look into the human form taking on many manifestations as interpreted by artists from around the world.
Great small museum with innovative shows! Wonderful place to stop on the Hudson near DIA: Beacon. The latest group show had international group of artists you would expect to see in the Whitney Biennial or Art Basel. Side note: Peekskill has a great brewery (Peekskill brewerya great restaurant (Birdsall Houseand great used book store (Bruised Apple Books).
Interesting reopen exhibition.
Muy buen lugar
This is a small but interesting place to visit.
Wonderful exhibits, easy to navigate
Great
Its art. Go appreciate it
Love it
HVCCA always has exciting, ground-breaking art! This month theres a range of work by female artists and only 1 male artist who collaborated with local students shown upstairs. The Launderette is one of the most important permanent installations in the Hudson Valley! A must see for any art enthusiast seeking to quench their soul.
Prompt and all staff are respectful
Well presented exhibits, not crowded, friendly staff. Very low key and relaxing. Love it
I like the HVCCA too-- and I wish it were open more days.
How are there no reviews of this museum? Its great - they have some really neat, thought-provoking stuff. My kids enjoyed it as well, even though there were a number of things they wanted to touch but couldnt. Highly recommended to check out.
