HuHot Mongolian Grill in Kalispell

Food was ok. Many empty selections. Two cooks that were there were too busy screwing around Todo a good job. Third cook showed up and they did a 180. Wish he had been there when we went through line.

Good food and awesome workers but its too expensive now to really be worth it anymore.

Not super impressed with this chaotic style of restaurant. If you have kids, Im sure theyll enjoy the experience. The employees that were cooking were conducting themselves in a very unprofessional manner, conversations that shouldnt be talked about in front of customers (how much they didnt like their job and how they couldnt wait to leaveBasically admitting to everyone within earshot they dont give a ***t about the job or the quality they produce. The food wasnt cooked well enough in my opinion, bacon was really soggy, to the point it almost seemed raw. I prefer to be waited on at a restaurant.

Its the McDonalds of Mongolian. Fast and fun, a bit messy and chaotic. Great for kids. My tried and true, developed over years favorite sauce combo is 3-4 ladles of the Black Thai Peanut, 1 ladle of the Mongolian Mustard, a touch of lemon, garlic, sesame and a bit of chili for heat if you want.

Very clean food bar and well stocked, too. The cooks were being heckled a bit and they took it like champs. They were also extremely friendly. One of my favorite places in Kalispell.

Food was good, service wasn’t. And only one cook, with tons of people waiting. He ended up over cooking things…and very slow because he couldn’t keep up by himself. My wife and I had separate meals because mine was done about 10 mins before hers.

Meal was OK, everything tasted a little uncooked and warm but not hot. Seemed the chefs were a little rushed. Single person table was placed in an awkward corner.

Hu Hot is always a great place, tons of options for food, cleanliness could be improved as some of the floors were sticky, but overall good. I have been to Hu Hots before, however this one stood out, Chris the chef made the experience come together. Not only did he do his job well, but he was social, entertaining, and made what is normally just a restaurant into an experience altogether. He is the type of person Hu Hot needs on their teams.

The cook was engaging the customers and asked to leave a review. So, here is one.Stop showing off and stick to just cooking the food . Quit first bumping kids, they have dirty hands and you just got germs on your rubber glove and continued to cook food. Does Montana have food safety training requirements that all food handlers must be certified? One cook wiped sweat from forehead and didnt change gloves. Hmmmmmm thats disgusting . The choice of meat was either beef or pork. No lamb no chicken which is great for Asian food . I dont like the idea if restrooms next to the food prep line. It would be better if there was porta restrooms in the parking lot.Also, I gave the waitstaff a $100 bill and she came back with change but I didnt even see a bill since I just gave her the cash bc I wanted to leave after starting at her for about 10 minutes. How would I have know how much I paid for? It could have been less. When I asked for a receipt, this is what I received. Does not show how much my total was. Only shows what I gave and what may change was.By the way,The food was absolute garbage. Panda has better tasting food and teriyaki sauce and that place is gross

We come here often and enjoy it. The guy on the grill tonight (8.19.22 forgot his namewas very nice and did a great job:)

Had an amazing experience! Food was delicious & the cooks made all the more enjoyable with their humour, cooking skills & their interaction with us! Definitely go for an all around great dining experience.

I have been over couple of other HuHots around the country and by far this was the best one. Service was good. Food was delicious. The chefs were super nice and considerate.

Really loved the grilling options even for vegetarians, I just wish they could charge by weight so that food doesnt go to waste as they dont allow takeout. But the food and Asian salad was very tasty

The host Ted had great customer service. Genuine greeting and was just overall pleasant.

Used to be great but staffing shortage has killed it. Less clean, constant lines and running out of choices. Also closed randomly without warnings (such as right now at noon on a Monday when it says open 11-8)Edit to update: Stopped by again today. Also closed at 12:45pm. This place isn’t worth the trip to. They are always closed and only post it on their door (at best).

Nice staff.Was eager to like this place, it came highly recommended. The raw self-serve food bar being publically rummaged through went beyond my comfort zone. The long line to have your selection cooked made the Mongolian experience too much to bear.

Glad they opened back up for dine in....If ya dont like the food, you can only blame yourself, go back and try again...just dont use the mens restroom, well just say it needs work...

We really enjoyed HuHot. Weve been to other Mongolian grill restaurants we think the sauces here are among the best. We were there at a very busy time but the cooks kept the line moving. The music is loud, as is the restaurant overall. Well be looking for other HuHot locations in our travels.

Food is ok. Good entertainment at the grill. It sure takes a lot of work to cook, clean and perform like they do.

Place is not open when the internet has it open. This used to be our favourite to go to and it has continuously gotten worse over the years. If someone is interested in buying the place, there is a lot of possibility for improvement.

Out of all the huhots Ive been to this staff was one of the friendliess and attentive to detail! We were just passing through kalispell and found out there was a huhots I got excited and had to stop by!!! By far my most favorite place to eat

Excellent service and good food! My fiance made himself sick by underestimating the spiciness of their sauces so beware! Unlike him, I left this restaurant feeling pretty good and full. Its basically all you can eat, you pick your own ingredients and theyll cook it in front of you. The men cooking were very quick and did great! 👍

Grill guys were awesome. Server was untrained maybe? We never got the salads she talked us into and had to find her to get our drinks after we had our food.

When we went it was busy, but the staff was wonderful. They kept everything moving and worked hard to seat everyone and keep the grill going

My cousins raves about HuHot, so I was excited to try it. Honestly the food is okay! The vibes were a little off for me. Grown adult men were putting eggs in their pockets and calling them “chicken berries.” It was an experience.

1st time visit. Will be back. Food was excellent.. why not 5 stars? Well, while we got our bill right away. Even got to take advantage of Happy Hour! Making a payment took some doing. Ended up just leaving cash on the table.

Very rarely do I ever leave bad reviews. We have a hu hot where we live. Weve always had a great experience when we go at home. Clearly you are understaffed and the staff you had working tonight was rude and unwelcoming. I get it- a lot of people dont want to work these days and places are understaffed. We had 11 in our group and offered to go into smaller groups if that was easier when they said they couldnt seat our group for about 20 minutes. The host and older female server were rude and snippy. The server clearly did not want anyone else to be seated in her section. The host told us that we would have to wait outside- which we did. We went out and sat on the grass and the family we were with were so excited to try this place out- I told them it was worth the wait- I had been talking it up all day in the park. We continued to watch multiple smaller groups walk in and not come back out. Clearly they were being seated. When my husband and kids went in to check on our status they told us that we had to leave. We were not rude or belligerent at any time. Thank goodness Ramen house is right next door and they know how to serve meals with helpful staff and friendly faces. Im now heading to their website to give a 5 star review because they earned it- PLUS they got a great big tip.Your employees will make or break your business. Tonight didnt look promising for you. Very sad.

We’ve been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Buffet style with different type of meats,veggies and sauce to choose from. Could be more mindful when cleaning the grill since you’re scraping off dirty water and food waste off the grill, while other people’s food is being cooked right next to it.

Was not very clean. We were one of the few tables and the sauce area was a mess. There was spilled sauce every where including the floor. There was bacon as an item that could be added to your bowl. We added it to our bowls. Every person in our party still had raw bacon after our food was plated.

Check this place out today and I was disappointed. The food quality was horrible. The staff was friendly and that’s why I gave it 2 stars for staff. My 8 daughter even said how gross the food tasted and the quality. We both had upset stomachs after, we will not be back.

The food was okay, but the worst part was the atmosphere. I felt like everything was dirty, sticky, or greasy. The buffet wasnt really that clean. The staff were nice though. I would recommend going to a different place if you are looking for good, cheap, Mongolian food

Visiting from out of town. Really enjoyed this place, the staff were friendly and attentive. But the real wow factor for us was that there was no limit to how much you can eat, no bowl size, or weight limit. You can even go fill up a bowl multiple times! Basically all you can eat for one set price. Most grill type places dont operate that way, so that was neat.

This place was one of our family favorites when it first opened up and was so excited to see it open again.The waitresses were amazing and so helpful.The food was messy and cook lost his temper when we were there throwing things on the floor and even was asked to take a break. I understand the lack of employees is hard but wish he would of handled it differently.We also got sick after eating here.Hope they change it around to be one of our favorites again...Till then, nope

3 stars because the host, grillers, and some of the extra people were amazing. But one waiter flirted with a table of women the entire time we were there and seemed to ignore the rest of his tables, and we only saw our waitress maybe 3 times the whole 1.5 hours we were there and not to mention that when the blonde with the green nose rings (who was greattold our waitress we wanted to redeem a birthday dessert code the waitress rolled her eyes and then acted like it was a huge imposition for her to come and get the code from us. Even though it seemed like there was only 2 guys on the grill they still killed it even though they were short staffed.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever had and this place doesn’t even have actual waiters. Waiter asks us what to drink and doesn’t tell us anything about the restaurant. Then we hear him tell the table next to us everything about the buffet, like feel free to get multiple bowls (even though the sign says 1), put at least 6 scoops of sauce, etc. This was after we had already gone through the line and did it all wrong. We followed the sign and got One bowl and the recommended amount of sauce via the sign (which isn’t near enough). Not knowing what to do kills the experience because you don’t get the right amount of food or flavor.After the drinks he never came back. He literally would not even look our way even after trying to flag him down. After waiting 20+ minutes for the check and watching him walk by and stare at the floor over and over, I asked for the manager. Told him about the experience, paid my bill (he printed it and took my cardand left.As I’m leaving the waiter passed me and says “You don’t look happy.”Don’t Waste your time or money.

Great food, super fresh, and you will likely eat entirely too much. If you eat a plate and feel full, do yourself a favor and stop! If I lived nearby, this would be a weekly event! If you are on a low sodium diet, this isnt the place for you. $5 off if you sign up for their rewards site.

The lack of proper and quality staffing has brought my rating down from 4 star range to pushing into the 2 star territory. Everyone here seemed overworked, underpaid resulting in mediocre service at best.

Very slow they are constantly going through crew. It seems like almost a completely different staff every month. Every time I come back the speed and quality goes down. My server Justin f was the only positive experience this last trip. The person on the grill spilled half of my food and burned the other half. They where so slow that the line of people went back around to the starting area. When they actually got busy the line got even longer and almost every table had people waiting for their food. I went on 4-30-22 Im going to wait a long while before I go back for now I recommend staying away until they can retain a crew. Maybe they should consider paying their employees a livable wage so theyre enticed to stay.

My younger son has autism and is very particular where he eats. He loves Huhot and as a mom, who has watched people ignore or made rude comments towards her son, I really appreciate the customer service we received yesterday when we were in there around noon. The hostess made a point to not acknowledge him, but checked back in later to ask him how his food was. The guy grilling was very friendly towards my son in asking him questions and asking him if he wanted to see flames on the grill. Our waitress was very busy, being the only waitress in all, but was still very friendly and even brought my son stickers. Above and beyond great customer service! I appreciate you all more than you know, thank you so much for making a little boy feel like he matters and showing a mom that there are still some good hearted people out there!

I’ve always loved Huhot! It’s been one of my favorite restaurants for a while. It was closed for a while due to everything that’s been going on, but I’m so glad it’s back! The waitress was great and the cooks were friendly! They’ve always got great food!

Love this resturant!The staff are so so friendly, welcoming, and kind. They always have a smile on their face and never stop working hard! The food is good, and its great that they offer such a variety of toppings, foods, and drinks. It’s cool to see your food being prepared right in front of you! The service is fast and efficient, without being poor quality. I have noticed that the handles of the sauce spoons are pretty sticky sometimes though, but that is really the only negative thing I noticed. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience here and will most definitely return. :)

This is the best HuHot I have ever been to. The staff are friendly, energetic and genuinely interested in making your experience memorable.The food is cooked properly and the chefs enjoy and take pride in their work. There is a reason we go every time we’re in Kalispell and that is because this place captured the heart of our (at the time5 year old and now that he is 13 he still talks about it being he favourite restaurant!

I came in with a couple friends a little while back and Cassie was our server. I wish we would have been sat with the other girl that was working. Idk her name she had brownish colored hair and has been there awhile I’ve had her before with no problems. We waited forever for our drinks and didn’t get refills. She didn’t even offer us appetizers or anything and then she told us they were out of salad but then we watched the other server bring salads out to her tables. She told us that so she wouldn’t have to get it.. ridiculous and just lazy! She was too busy flirting with her manager to help us or really any of her tables. While the other server was running her butt off! The food was really good though and the grill guy was good and fun to watch!The food bar was surprisingly clean for how busy it was! And the host was doing a good job cleaning tables and stuff. Like I said I wish we would have gotten the other server that would have made our visit so much better and I would have given more stars!

The food here is presented buffet style served cold or frozen to be cooked on an large circular hibachi style cook top by a professional. You go through line and Add your protein veggies and sauce yourself, then its go time. The place was clean, the service staff were pleasant and we had an average experience with the three of us. This concept has lasted a while in Kalispell and is unique and different in their ways. If I were to change anything it would be the location of the restrooms and maybe adding an energetic happy employee/manager to vibe with and support the front of the house in service and attitude. Our experience from the host stand to the table was akward and could have been communicated differently from the server which made interesting decisions in her service style and the moves she made with her prioritizing. It was interesting to witness and with a managers assistance could have been trained differently. No manager visible throughout our visit.

Ordering online from them is a scam. Not only is it never ready when they say it’s gonna be, I specifically ask for light noodles every single time I order online from them, and they proceed to fill my entire bowl to the brim with noodles with hardly any other things I ask for.

Staff members were great and entertaining. The food was EXCELLENT. Its $11.95 per person. I had white rice which is free by the way, and potstickers for $7.50. Mouthwatering! You pick your proteins and anything else you like. You watch them cook. Go visit!

First time I visit this place and I am amazed. They have a good selection of proteins, as well as a large number of vegetables and delicious sauces that range from sweet to spicy. The staff is extremely friendly and are attentive to your requirements. I recommend them 100%

I really like this place. The food always tastes wonderful. I love the way it is decorated. The staff is very attentive. It is a little bit pricey for me since I go for only one trip to the grill.
