Hrafninn Guesthouse in Akureyri

Super fint, gammelt hus med god beliggenhed, flot indretning og rigtig god seng og dyne. Vi fik tilsendt en kode til døren og havde derfor ingen kontakt med personale, men det fungerede rigtig fint for os.

Absolut god til prisen. Værelserne ok. Adgang til et lille tekøkken hvor man selv kan kokkerere på vandrerhjemsmaner. Placeret lige i centrum.

We had to postpone our stay from 2021 to 2022 because of COVID-19. All hotels accepted gladly, as we had already paid the room and it allowed them to book it for the night in 2021.Hrafninn Guesthouse just ignored all our messages. They even ignored messages from Booking client service !They could have said : "Sorry, we cant, its non refundable" - and they would have had the right to do so. But no, they didnt bother answering. So we lost 150 euros.I really dont understand how people can behave this way. So disappointing...

Comfortable room and bed for a good nights restWe had a corner room on the 2nd floor, more spacious than expected and very comfortable bedding. Warm and cosy bedroom. We really enjoyed our time there and had a good rest. Blackout curtains were also available which helps when the days are so long.There was some noise coming from the adjacent rooms but people were generally quiet after hours so it was not a big problem.Check-in instructions were provided so it was not a problem not having a host meet us. And if you need anything, you can always call the number they provided and get immediate assistance.

Very mediocre service and rooms. The rooms are overpriced for what it is and I heard from multiple ppl that they are not paying their employees accordingly or sometimes months late and the owners completely refuse to sign union contracts with them. Also the showers are broken, weird smell and looks super old. I dont recommend this place, its not great at all.

Oof, this place is so bizarre. Its like staying in a grandmas guest room. The curtains dont actually cover the window so its super bright in the room especially when daylight lasts for 3 months here in the summer. Also the shower is tough to get to a good temperature. If you turn the knob all the way it gets room temperature and if you turn it back a bit it then gets hot. I dont know what kind of sense that makes. Also the side tables have lights but one isnt plugged in because there is no plug for it but 2 feet away they have a little refrigerator sitting on the ground plugged in at about waist height for some reason. The bathroom door bonks into the tv which is wall mounted right behind the bathrooms door which is strange. The bed is decent actually but I could do without the decorative footboard at the bottom. And wow is this place loud. The floors creak if you look at the boards funny and you hear every city sound out the windows all night long. I do not recommend this place. Its soooo strange! Its pretty though. I like the weird art. Also paid parking between 10 AM and 4 PM so if you get in after the bank closes you have to wake up early enough to get a parking pass before 10AM.

This hotel is in a perfect spot. The rooms were comfortable and clean- definitely the largest rooms we had during our stay in Iceland. The staff went above and beyond by sending back items that I had forgot in the room. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

Very nice and reasonably priced. Kitchen is well stocked.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Gästehaus, sehr gemütlich im alten Stil eingerichtet. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt hinterm Haus. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt. Man bekommt kostenlosen Tee und Kaffee. Eine Gemeinschaftsküche steht zur Verfügung. Auf dem Zimmer ist ein Fernseher. Im Badezimmer ist ein Föhn.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe.

The rooms were good. The check in process was different because you had to check in at one location then drive to the actual hotel. The location was great overall. The breakfast was pretty good. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Amazing house!

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Only issue was the shower didnt drain very well, other then that the place was great.

Die Lage ist top. Die Zimmer sind schön alt eingerichtet. Die Küche ist klein und wenn voll besetzt dann vll zu klein. Unser Badezimmer hat leider so stark nach Schimmel und abestandenem Wasser gestunken das es fast nicht benutzbar war. Wir hatten Zimmer Nummer 2

The wifi didnt work, we complained twice- told someone would fix it and never did.The bed is uncomfortable, there is a hole in the middle so you are rolling in on top of each other all night.The curtains are useless, it is the middle of summer so the sun is up all night and our room was so bright.The room is VERY noisy- you can hear all the street noise.No one is at reception so you have to go to a different location to check in, makes it hard to make a complaint when there are no staff!

Bad smell from shower drain. Dust everywhere. Bed was broken.

Esternamente un villino di unaltra epoca, dentro si apre un mondo fantastico, unantica dimora con tappeti e parquet, mobili antichi e stucchi a soffitto...personalmente deliziosa.pulita e con camere grandi, specie con il bagno in camera comodissimo.le decalc del hrafninn per i numeri delle stanze sono il tocco di classe!

Recommended. A very nice place to stay at, the check in process is a bit difficult because you have to go to a completely different place to fech your keys but everything else is awesome and again, highly recommend!

A beauty homely place with aplenty parking and near the main shopping street. A short walk to where the whale watching tours are. A good 15 minutes walk to see the large church and Botanic Gardens.Breakfast was awesome at the hotel (note check in and out is elsewhere).The beds are very high making it extremely comfy. The practical yet Victorian style fittings makes it a novel experience.Highly recommended.

Nice guesthouse with great location. No staff, which meant self-service check in. Rooms air conditioning was absent and shower not working correctly. Room lock was also broken partly. Guest kitchen and a small room to eat.

Abaolutely a lovely place. The rooms are very clean and look nice. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is quite small but everything is there to make yourself a nice meal (2 cooking plates, oven, microwave, etc). Coffee and tea is for free.

Okay for 1-2nights. Very loud and no reception.Big bathroom and direct in akureyri center.

I rested in Hrafninn guesthouse 30, december, 2017. The room was really cold and i think it is because of old heater system. Also breakfast place is far about 7 mins away by foot. I don’t recommend here in winter.

Really nice room, and a cool way for checkin - its not manned so saves on costs. Decent price. Shower was good. Bed was very comfy (would rate as a 4/10 - - soft to firmand gives a good sleep, amazingly as Im usually more likely to get a good sleep on more firm mattresses. Big radiator which lets you put you went clothes on if you have any which was a massive bonus as the other places weve stayed at didnt allow for this. It does have two entrances which was odd, and we got the wrong one so had to walk round the side to get in. Parking requires a paper clock thing which should be in your checkin wallet/folder but wasnt in ours - luckily I found one in the hallway with the brochures. Make sure you use it.

Great staff, clean facilities, awesome breakfast. Could use having more showers and bathrooms.

Weird Place. Rooms are super small, quite old a bit dirty and there is noone at the reception - never ever!Breakfast was a complete hassle. We had to drive through town to another hotel to get it.Cannot recommend this place.

The real problem is the kitchen is too small! Beds are comfortable and free wifi is fast, i loved shower here

Nettes Guesthouse, saubere Zimmer.

It is very near to the city center. The decoration is beautiful too. But the kitchen is too small for cooking and no area for dining. You need to bring your food back after you prepare for the food.

Close to everything. the bed was comfortable but the shower was messy.

Molto bello da fuori e centrale ma......Cucina piccola e poco attrezzata. Non è presente nemmeno un tavolo o delle sedie su cui mangiare (più che una cucina un angolo per preparae un the). Le camere al piano terra sono piccole e i bagni non allaltezza (phone rotto, doccia con tenda (in tutte le altre strutture visitate era presente un box doccia). Le camere al piano superiore sembrano più ampie e attrezzate. Alcuni problemi con la prenotazione e scarsa disponibilità del personale nel risolverli. Delusione

The Hrafninn Guesthouse was a great stop while making our way along the Ring Road. At the time of booking they only had rooms with two twin beds, which jokingly became our marital suite. Akureyri is a brilliant little city and the Hrafninn Guesthouse offers a great location to make a base from.

No receptionist upon arrival, wifi was not functioning and we were ignored upon asking for it to be remedied. Emails to management went unanswered for days.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The welcome is warm and professional. We could not ask for more! If you search an easy stay, this is a place i would recommend!

没有人管，全部自行入住，房间灯坏了，网络也不行。老板有两套酒店，这边平时不顾着
