Very well preserved, magnificent view of Usti and the river. If you have chance, visit. There is also a cafe where you can have a drink/icecream and enjoy the view :)

Best attraction in Ústí nad Labem. Looks great from the outside and you can enjoy nice views from inside. However it is a bit tough to get there + castle itself isnt that interesting.

Place with a long history. Worth to see and read about the castle and neighbouring city, Usti nad Laba. Its a shame that the old photographies from 19th and early 20th century are not preserved well, so sadly it looks like a matter of time that theyre damaged by the weather conditions. Possible to pay by card.

Amazing views and its in good conditions. The only problem is that there are lot of bees even in the upper part of the castle. if you are allergic dont go up.

A fantastic castlePart in ruins part still intactI was visiting around 10am and only saw 4 other peopleBeing perched on the cliff side and over looking the river ElbeNot a huge castle ,but this adds to its charmYou can easily while away an hour or soThere are some great original parts still left and some good write ups but not too much so you lose intrestThe views as you can imagine are amazingI really like the fact you have to ring the ball to be let out after you have finishedYou can get a laminated a4 numbered description to take around , but all points have the summaryI liked the knights hall , with spears and cost of arms along with a suit of armour ....Worth a visit and helps you with a look into the past but without getting to bigger downGood walking around the remainsWear good solid footwear

Hrad Strekov is a great castle to visit. Its on the better end of castle ruins and is a very inexpensive adventure. The castle offers a fantastic view of the Elbe River Valley and has a variety of rooms and lookout points.You could do it in an hour if needed and comfortably in two hours. We brought a two year old and a four year old and they were fine. There are some steep stairs but also room to run around.

free parking near castle, wonderful view down to Elbe valley, interesting path through castle, pretty good restaurant with terrace in castle area.

Looove this castle! I’ve been wanting to visit it for years and finally made the trip. Richard Wagner (among othersis said to have stayed here and it inspired some of his work. I can see why.

Worth it just for the view!

This castle looks very cool and manly. Its in a formidable place. Must have been quite an effort to build it in a place like this.

Quite larger than it looks from the bottom. One point down for poor restaurants with quite a bad service. But castle is super.

Fantastic castle ruins, with some very interesting history - including the connection of John of Bohemia who requested its construction.

Well situated medieval castle, which was ruined for centuries, but it was rebuilt in 19th century. Nice view of the valley.
