Great place to visit. It got the original drawings on the wall ,old tool that they used and how they lived, and they show how they do the things that they sale ,all hand made ,and you can see how they paint them all by hand , everytime I go I visit that places

Its a beautiful place, where you can take amazing photos. The only thing I think I didnt like too much was the fact that there are a lot of local stores and I think its more commercial than cultural.

Nothing spectacular at all.The place is in good condition but I was expecting a kind of museum.Here there are plenty of small stores which sell local goods and souvenirs.Nice articles in case you look for shopping

Beautiful place to visit, surrounded by beautiful gardens art galleries and many other stores where you can find a variety of artesanias like hand crafted toys, traditional dresses, jewelry, rebozos and a great variety of souvenirs.

There are venders selling all varieties of artisanal crafts here mostly. But I just posted pictures of the looms cause I found it interesting. So the next time you buy a rebozo dont gripe about the price💲 especially if you get one made by hand using this method. 🙂😉

Beautiful crafts in their own "plazas" among gardens in a lovely historic building.

Loved this place with lots of little artisan shops. The building itself is a 2-story colonial, built around 11 patios and courtyards which in turn are lined with individual shops and studios of many different artisans. I purchased some textiles as well as a gold leafed copper bowl. Patzcuaro is all about artisans and this is a great place to see a variety of them.

Many years ago when I was a kid, I used to see many Americans visiting places like this house in Mexico. Nowadays, only a lost Canadian or European are the only ones that enjoy places like this. For me, who is out recording these places in photographs, this is the Mexico I remember from my childhood and it’s GREAT. I don’t get anyone wearing a fanny pack in my images! This is truly an amazing house with so many rooms and patios that it is now known as the House of 11 Patios. It was built in the 17th Century and now it houses artisan shops where you can purchase handmade items from Michocan. But, this structure still stands, even after being cut for a street to be made through it. It is an absolutely beautiful place, as is the entire town of Patzcuaro, MX.

Artisans are friendly. The things they sell are handcrafted. Good quality.

There were many artisan shops with wonderful hand made items but take the time to notice the building itself and imagine it when people of the past lived within the walls of this home.
