Rock- & blues-themed chain with Southern dishes such as po' boys & jambalaya, plus live music.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VENUE!!!! They were very kind and quick to get us in and situated for the the show. The place was CRAMMED PACK but they never had anyone that was rude and impatient. They were VERY professional but still made sure to let us have fun while ensuring we were all safe. I will 100000% be going back!!!
Came here to see Phil Rosenthal and had such a lovely time! There were some issues with the mic intermittently through the show, but microphones were on standby and technical issues were quickly sorted out. The staff were warm, patient, and helpful. Really impressed by their queue and overflow management. Drinks are crazy expensive ($13+), but that came as no shock given the venue. Public lot parking about a block away for $0.75-$1.25/hour.
Certainly an odd place for a book tour…1. After walking a few blocks from a good parking lot we were told at security that we can’t bring our books inside…you know…that we bought for the book tour…I mean seriously what Ocean’s 11 tomfoolery do you think I’m going to try an pull off by bringing the speakers book to get it signed? So we had to walk all the way back to our cars and put it up.2. The audio was the worst audio experience I’ve ever had in a professional setting. Like isn’t that the main job you have to get right for a typical MUSIC venue? The mics need to work consistently. The authors hands free mic glitched and or died within the first 30 seconds, and then for the next hour and a half he had to bang his microphone a MINIMUM of 20 times to test and see if it was on. The BACK UP Mic?! Lol. The moderators mic was a bit in and out. This year I’ve been in chapels running 90s projector transparency slides with better audio than this. Not really sure what happened, but…Thankfully the speaker and moderator were absolute champs, delights and funny as heck. This one star review doesn’t reflect my enjoyment of them, or the customer service coming into the venue.10/10 would ONLY go to this venue if person or band you’re going to see is a bucket list worthy guest, otherwise hope they go to multiple venues/cities in the area. Go to one of those instead.
I was there for a tech event, but the venue was great. It has all types of rooms you need, including dancing room.
I didnt go here for a show. I was here for a tech conference so I cant really speak to the House of Blues experience. What I can say is the place looks amazing and I am looking to go back and experience it.
We visited the House of Blues for a company celebration. It was KUBRA’s 30th year in business. We rented out the entire dining area for our company. There was also a concert playing downstairs. The venue was clean and well organized. It had plenty of staff on hand. The food was fantastic.
Very cool experience. We saw Stereolab!! This is such a beautiful venue. The atmosphere of House of Blues (mojois right on even after all these years in Dallas. The staff was very friendly. Although the line to get in was awkward and could be managed better. The lighting was just sad for the entire show. Luckily Stereolab outperformed and made it all better.
Why do the pillars have to be so massive :( and then the curtains are in the way too. General admission is nearly unacceptable when it comes to finding any type of view of the bands on stage. Looks like I will be purchasing VIP in the future, but I still think its not super cool that GA doesnt get to see anything. I paid $100 for two tickets to a show I had to hop around and try to find little pockets where I could see Steve Vai tonight. Only had a clear shot once.
Went to a Sabrina Claudio concert and the experience was great! The only thing I couldnt stand is the zero leg room in the balcony seating. I should not have to fully stand up for people to squeeze by me. Extremely annoying.
We just saw Echo and the Bunnymen. I was able to get to the front pretty easily. Its standing room only, unless you have a VIP membership. If youre a VIP, you can sit at a table in the roped off area near one of the two bars. The venue is small allowing for a close view of the stage. The sound was on point too. I would recommend a concert here anytime.
Great venue. Service, bar, speakers, and overall place. Only complaint is that the leg room on seats are so close to one another. Does not give you ample room to cross in front of someone seating. Cant wait for the next concert.
I love this venue. Its not a club but its got a club-like feel. Its a small to medium size venue. You can be intimate and hang out in the general admission pit or you can have a little space and sit in the balcony. One of my favorite places to see artists.
My partner and I had a great time coming here to see the ATWWD live show here, venue is Clean and well taken, it was easy to navigate but when needing help the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Ill also note they have Several bars in the venue so both guests and staff have an easier time. All in all a really nice venue to visit!Shout out to Juan and John for being really helpful and just all around cool guys.
I recently attended the Judah & The Lion concert at House of Blues...They were great! The crowd was fun, friendly/very helpful staff, great service! Staff member George Armstrong helped us find our seats, got us a cocktail waitress so we could order drinks, answered our questions about venue, showtimes, food menu, etc. Thanks! The venue was really clean, great sound/lighting! Had an amazing time!
Re-open the restaurant, already!I love this venue because you can get close enough to the performers to smell their deodorant (or lack of!without spending a fortune; however, they are making up for it with drink prices! A cup of ice water should not cost $5 plus tip; that isnt very supportive of patrons who are designated drivers for the other goofballs who are drinking like fish. Dont give me any of this "why are you drinking water" sass, either, because even if its water Im drinking, I tip very well. At least you know Im making it out of there without acting a fool!Valet should not be reserved only for Foundation Room members. I waited in a very long line of cars for valet parking only to be told that I couldnt access valet service because my membership had expired. Last week when I visited, I had to park two blocks away, and as a woman visiting House of Blues by myself, it was a bit unnerving that valet was not available. Furthermore, when I asked the valet peeps for parking recommendations for a woman visiting alone, they looked at me like I was nuts for asking! So you work there but you have no idea whats around it? I refuse to believe it. Maybe if I were driving my more expensive vehicle, they might have been on it like a rat on a Cheeto. After all that, they still hung around waiting for a monetary tip! Ive got a tip for ya, Mr. ValetMan... get it together and treat the House of Blues customers with more respect. Its a small world - you never know who might end up being your boss down the road! LolThe staff in the "will call" area were extremely nice. The womens restroom was nasty, with bathroom stalls being out of toilet paper and trash thrown all over the floor. Granted, Im not sure sure what makes women turn into complete slobs in a public restroom, but given the fact that alcohol likely has something to do with it, there should be some clean-up going on.The main concert area downstairs was rather hot and muggy last week. This is Texas... If I wanted to sweat at a concert, Id like it to be because Im jumping around and having a great time, not because the venue was uncomfortably hot to begin with. A/C!!! We require A/C!! Im not willing to sweat that much for just any band.Hopefully, some of these issues will be remedied before my next upcoming visit.
Expensive drinks but what with inflation I have no idea what reasonably priced drinks look like these days. The more important part, its a good venue for concerts. The show I saw tonight featured bands with many screens and props and they accommodated that well. Acoustics and sound quality were good, stage was high enough to be visible from basically anywhere in the venue... Sounds like basic venue design, but I went to Tulips in Fort Worth and their stage was low, in a corner and behind a random unnecessary wall. Having an open and visible stage is like rule number one of hosting live bands. This place did it properly.
Just leaving a concert here. I am 7 months pregnant. I sat my happy butt in my seat through the whole show (minus the two times I had to pee), and enjoyed it. I even bought their expensive canned water. The balcony seats were great. At the end of the show, they closed all but one restroom… The line was approximately 30 girls long. A security guy threatened to call the manager on me when I asked him why. In retrospect, I should have let him do that and then make that person explain why they’re withholding restrooms from paying customers. Especially ones with medical reasons for needing to use it frequently!!! I left so angry with that man, and I will never think highly of this spot again. Make sense, though, if he’s part of the same crew that couldn’t keep up with the spotlight and displayed terrible quality streaming on the monitors upstairs…
Always a good time at House of Blues....great venue for a live show! Lots of bars inside, they even have food.
Nice venue. We had reserved seats for a show, but people seemed to just be sitting anywhere and ushers weren’t checking tickets. Drinks are over priced. 24oz Modelo for $15.
First time attending a concert at the House of Blues. I parked at Victory Park and walked 5 mins and it was just $6. The venue is small and intimate so I really liked that. I had general admission tickets but it may be worth trying to get seating. Drinks are overpriced but all in all I enjoyed myself.
Went to see The Purple Madness. My seats were in the balcony, but I could see just fine! Tickets were reasonable and sound was great. Screens of the stage were horrible quality, but it didnt affect my enjoyment of the show!
A great venue to attend events at. I just saw A tribute to Prince and it was AMAZING
Small concert venue. Sat in balcony and still enjoyed a decent view.
So dope the music was great, the drinks were good and poured to the gods! Unfortunately paying for the fast pass didnt even help waiting at the elevator was a lot of confusion and seemed like the staff wasnt prepared for the Calum Scott concert so I was stuck behind so many tall people by the time they let me down stairs. Other than that great time! kind of hard for a partially blind girl to get around but fun for my first time to the house of blues!
I really wish there were chairs. Standing for the whole time was just exhausting. Great artists and security. There was someone in the crowd trying to push his way to the front and security dealt with it really quickly.
Best place and area to consider for a date night or celebrate with a show or concert.. Fantastic Venue, balcony seats are worth the money. The Foundation Room is a must to attend before and after shows. Lots of parking options in the area for easy access to walk to and from the area. Food options at The House of Blues and across the street.
Been here countless times over the years and overall it’s great. Apparently it’s difficult for venues to have signage with instructions on how the lines and security will move. I purchased fast lane passes to skip the crowd only to be turned back by staff because I didn’t have a fast lane wristband. Nowhere near the entrance were there instructions regarding fast lane passes. I had to walk back to box office to get my pass scanned and be given a wristband and then had to go back through security.
Great venue for concerts. My 2 cents is prior concert or between bands the music they play is so low you wonder if youre in a music venue. Other than that drinks are priced reasonable and sound system for bands is good... its just the sound level of music prior and between bands
Great venue! Always sounds great. Not a bad seat in the house. Just wish it wasn’t in Dallas.
Went to see KYLE a few months back, great experience, got to do the meet n greet as well, great experience, fun concert, nice venue, but wait outside was a bit long even for VIP, it was about 40⁰ that night, need outdoor warmers for lines.
Its a great venue for a concert. I parked at Victory Park, grabbed a drink before the concert also to get 2 hours of parking validated at one of the restaurants in Victory Park. Walked over to House of Blues and paid for 2 hours of parking at the current rate of $5/hour (total 4 hours and 2 were validated). Its a clean venue with friendly staff. There were no Covid restrictions or proof of vaccination needed when I went in June 2022.
Love this venue. Been here several times and always enjoy it. Show up just before the show starts to avoid standing in the heat outside. No pocket knives or you’ll have to forfeit them at the door. Parking nearby is plentiful. Standing room is good, but, if you don’t want to be on your feet for hours, seats in the balcony aren’t too expensive. Food and drinks are available and aren’t bad.
This is one of the nicer venues Dallas has to offer. We finally tried the VIP experience and got a VIP table for a concert. It was awesome. I finally got to check out the Foundation Room and the experience was well worth the extra money. I cant wait to do it again!
Been here a few times for shows. The venue is great, but the line for entry often wraps down the block so arrive as early as you can get. Drinks are pretty pricey too.
Went to see Aly & Aj which was a great exciting concert! Goldbergs!! HSE of blues was clean everyone was nice, and was a nice fun evening!
Been here 2 times and the first time the lines were under control, The second time was very disorganized. I believe they need more staff because they had 2 people trying to control a crowd of over 1000 people! Other than that, the area is great and every spot is a good view! Love coming here to my favorite artists perform.
We had the time of our lives! Excellent service! The decor is unique. Beautiful!
Went to see Dan Andriano. 4/27/22. Great show. Great valet. All staff were professional and friendly. Wish the restaurant were open though.
Ambience: 9/10Food: 5/10Price: 8/10It is a very nice venue to watch a concert. Been here atleast 10 times now. Never had any unpleasant experience. The place is pretty spacious. The food choices are not so great but have plenty of drinks to choose from at the bar.
First and foremost, I want to say the staff was great and attentive. This whole experience was a lesson and I know not to get the VIP upgrade again. There were problems with the VIP upgrade.1. The entry: I got a call on the phone telling me to go to the foundation room and then we would be escorted to out tables but that wasn’t correct. We just had to go through regular entry on the the VIP side.2. I thought the tables were going to be set up directly in front of the stage and then general admission behind us but it was in reverse. I was so far away from the stage and couldn’t get a good video for anything.3. The table was small and not as big as the ones shown on the website.4. The waitress was great but was handling too many tables besides ours. We had to wait 30-40 minutes for chicken tenders and fries. The tenders are also a different price but I didn’t see that until I was charged. The tab wasn’t itemized either so I’m not sure how much each drink I got cost. A drink and water came to $19? Chile I don’t know..The overall experience was a no for me and I could’ve spent $250 getting a VIP meet and greet ticket and met Lucky Daye but I know better for next time.
Good music venue. They should add clarity to their entrance procedures. I bought 2 "Speed Passes" for 20 bucks each for faster entry. I arrived 30 minutes before the doors opened. There was no signage or security to let anyone know about anything. We waited in line just like everyone else that didnt pay the extra 20 bucks.
The venue is beautiful, great sound and seats - we had a blast!
Of the many events I have attended here, I have yet to be disappointed. The sound is great and the size can accommodate a good size crowd and still provide an intimate and exclusive feel. I have not tried the food but hear good things. The venue has a real mellow vide with lots of colored lighting effects for your senses. I enjoy this venue for its friendly staff and well maintained amenities. Valet is recommend due to a light walk for parking otherwise. I would recommend attending or hosting an event at this venue for its unique upbeat vibes.
Edit: Special Shout-out to David and the entire Staff at the Foundation Room!!! On behalf of Sevendust and Tetrarch "Thank you for making our night so special"....Best venue in all of DFW!!! From the second I got here I was treated like royalty, from Raul the valet guy to Jennifer the security guard and Zeb who held my key for me before valet was even open to the Manager who was filling in at the Stage for missing security staff that gave me a water when I was dehydrated to Breane the bartender who remembered I wanted a sugar free redbull every time I came up. You can tell that every single one of them absolutely loves their job and it speaks volumes to the leadership/management they have...kudos!!!! I cant wait for my next show here!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
The mask mandate inside was not followed or enforced for any concerned with that. Good selection of food and drinks although alcohol was extremely expensive, more so than what Im used to even in other big cities. "Tall Boy" beers were about $12. Overall a good venue though, kind staff, good line management, quick entry and prompt service for food and bev.
I went to H.O.B. for the first time when they hosted #TrapKaraoke. I had so much fun. I love the the dual purpose the building serves — upstairs is a bar/restaurant with good food and the occasional live music, and downstairs is strictly a bar with a dance floor, stage, and balcony seating.I do wish they had more seats downstairs, but it’s fine. I’ll be going back in a few weeks for another concert — can’t wait!
Had a great time seeing George Throgood! Got seats on the balcony initially, but found some open V.I.P. seating during the first act and upgraded to them. Much better unobstructed view of the stage and excellent waitstaff!
We went to a concert, but didnt try ordering food. The venue acoustics are pretty good. Band volume wasnt overly loud, which was surprising for a metal show. Drink prices were VERY high, as expected. I would attend another show here in the future, or even play here. All Hail The Yeti, Suicide Silence, and JINJER put on a helluva show! Seeing Santa Mosh was fun too! 😂😂😂
What a great venue to watch a concert! Sight lines are great...balcony first few rows have you practically on top of the performance...easy access to concessions. Cool vibe and great service in the VIP room too.Ready to go again soon!
I took my wife to HOB for her Birthday 5/1/21. It was our first time visiting. The food was good! The band was awesome! The staff was very nice and helpful. They made us very comfortable and welcome. Clean and laid back place, will definitely be coming back!
