Houlihan's in Richfield

I ordered take out. Food was good but I ordered sweet potatoe fries for my side and I didnt get them. I got regular fries instead. Was really looking forward to sweet potatoe fries. Not sure if I will return.

Jambalaya was fantastic though I thought that might be too much shrimp and not enough Anidoulle.sausage, but the spice was perfect it lit by mouth up which was fantastic, though the grilled asparagus seem to be rather on the small side....Margarita was OVERLY ALCOHOLIC for my taste.

A great place for a trivia night and/or catching up with friends.The "Houlhans Famous Shrooms" & "Firecracker Cauliflower" are must tries.The kids menu has great choices but needs some tampering to make it more flavorful...

Our first visit to a restaurant since the pandemic. They had all the precautions in place and we had a good time. I had the Asian chicken lettuce wrap and it was really good. My friends enjoyed their burgers and my husband said the fries were really good and its hard to please him.

Got the nachos, it was decent. What I really appreciated was their happy hour and the incredible variety that Houlihans provides. It was snowing when I visited and there werent many people there. However it was an incredible deal and I will go back in the spring/summer.

A little hard to locate via Google Maps as I went passed it before realizing it was there. (The turnabouts tend to occupy ones thoughts.The signage is small and its built into a tall building so one could think that the restaurant isnt there. I went east, turned around, parked in the lot by the Caribou/Bagels, and walked across the street.The atmosphere was relaxing once inside and the wood decor made it more so. The waitress was helpful and the food was delicious. I had a chicken strip salad with tomato basque soup. Yummy. Filled me up without stuffing me.

Great flavor in the many dishes I’ve tried. They have a rotating seasonal menu that provides additional variety.Service has also been good.It is a national chain, so you won’t find many local options for food or beer. And prices tend toward the high side for the quantity of food. But you can find healthier options, like an organic greens salad (pictured), that you might not find at a lot of similar restaurants.

We love visiting in the afternoon when our servers have so much time to give us customized attention! Their food is always fantastic and they are definitely willing to make substitutions and make things right if they have to. Not that theyve ever had to for us, but weve overheard it from other guests.

Excellant waitstaff. Felt like we were being nickel and dimed to death. Sisters wanted a bowls of soup but only had cups of soup so they had to order 2 cups to be put into larger bowl. The soup was delicious but comeon, no bowls?!. Also one person ordered chips and salsa and got tiny little bowl when asked for a refill of this tiny bowl were told would be charged again. Food was great but portions and charges were bizzare

Super great place for happy hour. Delicious stuffed mushrooms, chicken wings with hot sauce, lettuce wraps, and mini hamburgers. Add two for one drinks and we had a complete dinner. Our server was excellent and very friendly as well. We will be back in the future.

I only give 2 stars because the only good service I seem to get is right up at the bar. Remind me to turn and walk away, if all the chairs at the bar are full. Today I decided to sit in the bar area, since all the chairs are full at the bar. Never again. Then, I never did like the bathroom. If I wanted to go to a bathroom where someone just sets a new roll on top instead of changing it, I would stay home, among other things about the bathroom.

Do I really have to give this place a 1 star? Okay fine. 🙄 Anyways, had training upstairs in the building and decided to come down to give this place a try in hopes of receiving fast service and dine in with good food. Total opposite happened. Waited for 40 minutes, no food, no apologies from the server, nothing. Went to go ask our server how long it would take and if I could get it to go and all she said was “alright” and rolled her eyes. Goodness, talk about manners! Not to mention, when I finally got my food to go, price and portion was ridiculous. Literally 1 scoop of macaroni for $4 and 6 tiny little wings for $12. Truly disappointed and NEVER AGAIN! You’re better off going to Jimmy Johns across the street.

I was visiting Minneapolis and after looking at the reviews online, I decided to try It out. Though Monday evening was a bit slow, the atmosphere is great. Low lighting, a large bar, big windows looking outside and overall a nice place. There are TVs if you want to watch some sports and the ambiance is nice and quiet to where you can have a conversation without having to talk loud.The food choices to me are a little small. For a steak there are three choices and the same for burgers. Seems the chicken and fish are their main dishes. I did have the Navajo Chicken Pasta which was delicious and had a little heat to it. The drinks are if good quality as well. Always GREAT French Dip and SW Chicken Wraps! The Hou are ALWAYS accommodating, just love this place!!!We drive for almost 40 miles to eat here. Wishing Maple Grove location was still around.Definitely a 5 star rating:)

Loved the food and place. Stuffed chicken breast is an outstanding dish. Crispy calamari in happy hour menu is something that you shouldn’t miss.

Had an hour to kill before my dental appointment, so I stopped in for quick nibble. 2 for 1 Lagunitas IPA on tap (🍺 primo!+ sweet 🍗s made for a very happy hour indeed. Respects to Callie (server)...👌🏾

It was ok. Not sure what else to say. Not bad. Not great. Decent. Burger was meh. Fries were run of the mill Sisco food service fries. Presentation was good. Service was ok. Had issue with Bill, and took a little to get corrected but still made it right.

Nice, big menu with a wide variety of choices. The portions are generous, so go there hungry! Ive been there several times and the service is always very good.

I have been going to Houlihan’s for years and always have been pleased with both the food and the service. Not tonight-the service was fine, but the portion size was not. I have had salmon many times there, but tonight when they brought my entree it was a shock ! It was small compared to the salmon portions I have had in the past, yet the same price, I felt cheated somehow and it was not enough. Anyone else have this experience? I talked to the server about it, but she said it just looked small sitting next to the large baked potato. Not onboard with that explanation!

This is great place to meet a friend for dinner and conversation on a weeknight. No loud music to try to talk over. Attentive staff, good food, great drinks. Easy parking in the ramp. The nachos are delicious!

People had made reservations for Easter but staff refused to let those who came early to be seated until EXACTLY 11am(Including the elderly--there was literally people with walkers standing outside for 10-20 minutes). Sad and disappointing(bend the rules a little people).Had a happy Easter overall at the location. Cant complain about the food at all the scallops were great I had them again.

Great service, great food. The style of the place is one Im a fan of. Its somewhere between a sports bar and a pub. The food is always excellent. Im not a big salad guy, but the "power salad" they serve here is ridiculously awesome.

Service was good. The firecracker cauliflower is super good as others have suggested. Think bang bang shrimp but with cauliflower. The waitress described it as the inside of a tater tot and that was a fairly accurate description. I got the Korean chicken and it was pretty good but I probably wouldn’t get it again. The brownie sundae was terrific though. I’d highly recommend that.

Go here often for happy hour, the firecracker cauliflower is the best thing EVER. Im also really happy they are putting out a few new vegetarian options on their menu. Bar staff is always great during happy hour

Great service, top notch attention to our needs, even with a 18 month old. My wife loved her scallops, appetizers were your meh deep fried affair. I ordered some jumbalaya and it was mediocre. Rice tasted flat , sauce seemed like it was out of a jar. Then again I have had the real southern variety, and so my standards may not be the average. I am also ordering a non Irish speciality, another mistake. Reality is, your dining mileage can vary in the cook, the dish, the time of day.

Wait staff was friendly and atmosphere was comfortable. Burger was very tasty and the asparagus was cooked to perfectly. Decent place for a happy hour stop as well.

Great place for food and drinks. Happy hour 2 for 1s and a menu that is diverse and delicious. Ive been doing Houlihans for dinner and drinks for years, and its always a good place to go. Service is above par, for sure!

Great happy hour and food is better than your typical bar & grill. Bar side is open seating. Restaurant side is host seated. Both sides are big enough place that theres typically no wait.

Atmosphere and food are kinda meh. Just good enough. I had the 612 burger with fries and it was average. The server was really good, and very attentive. Place was clean. I wouldnt recommend it, but I wouldnt discourage people from going either. Its kinda on the pricy side for what you get.On the plus side, we had a party of like 22 people and they accommodated us really well. Its too bad the food is so average.

The food is average, but its quiet and nicely lit. It feels like a sports bar for the retirement crowd. Its also housed in an oddly shaped building filled with an array of medical practices. Decent veggie burger though.

Our server Cliff was very attentive, but not hovering. We met there to have a leisure lunch and catch up. We were there for well over an hour maybe two? The service was great and the food was great. I had sweet potato fries and a bowl of French Onion Soup. The fries were thin cut and crispy on the outside tender and sweet on the inside! My soup was super cheesy with a nice flavorful broth. Would order both again. Other people had the the chicken tenders with fresh fruit. The chicken looked hand breaded and was crispy. The fruit was very fresh with a nice variety. The last order was the lunch special w a quiche. She raved about their quiche and it looked light and fluffy. Would definitely go here to eat again. Like the entire place, the restrooms were well maintained and clean.

A great place to get together with friends, even large groups of 10-15! Great specials and lots of delicious regular menu items. Their nachos really make a great meal. The Asian chop-chop salad is another favorite!

Excellent food and service. We split the fish and chips and the 612 burger. The fish and chips came with a lemon, dill tarter sauce, fries and a REALLY good coleslaw (more Aisan inspired). The burger was cooked perfectly and the special sauce was certainly special. We walked out of there full and happy. Again, the service was really good as well!

Went here for a late night bite to eat. They have a good happy hour menu.The chicken nachos are good - and big! And the egg rolls were really good, too. I really wanted to try the mushrooms, but the person I was with wouldnt eat them... Also, theyve got some good cocktails. Normally, Ill just get a beer, but I opted for some foo foo drink.I dont remember what it was, but it was tasty!

This place is amazing. Open just late enough for us owls, early enough for the normal folk. My server tonight(Bradd?was just disgustingly charismatic and good at his job. Service was prompt, food was the most delicious thing ever, zero issues whenever I go here. Love this place.

I havent Houlihans in over a year because its not near my home. We decided to go because we were in the area. The food was great as was the atmosphere. All of the servers were very friendly as well. I will be returning again very soon!

Houlis is a good place to enjoy a reasonably-priced meal. The food is very consistent, and Ive enjoyed most of it. Their happy hour is a good deal. The servers are friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the location is convenient and easy to get in an out of. Plus, they send me a free meal coupon for my bday!

Food was as expected from a chain restaurant like Houlihans. Certainly better than your Chilis or Applebees but short of a typical nicer establishment where reservations must be made. Service was a tad on the slow side but not unreasonable. Free ramp parking is convenient. Overall, a good experience

Excellent late night happy hour 7 days a week. 2-for-1 beers, Wells and wine. Fantastic apps that are $4-$9. Nachos are the best to share. Also love the calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Parking seems confusing but theres a huge ramp directly behind houlihans with TONS of space.

So Ive come to this place as they opened at 11:00. I had high expectations for the quality to be at its peak. However, the fillet mignon was dry, and chewy. The salmon was acceptable. The mash was slightly above average. Waiters are polite, and check on you for any needs at appropriate times. I would hope they eventually upgrade the ingredients a little bit. Not faulting the chefs, they can only work with what they are given.

Great food, great suggestions from staff on the menu, and close to home. Have only been here 2 times in my life and the second time I came in the hostess remembered me, and where I sat, from the time before (about a month earlier). Talk about great customer service and making a customer feel special. Im sure the staff see a thousand people a day but they sure dont make you feel like that. Much appreciated. And a special shout out to that hostess! I dont know her name but she deserves a raise.

The good - food is consistent and is exactly what you would expect from a mid price range American restaurant. Service is decent. Interior is inoffensively pleasant.The meh - while this location has a patio (yeah!its on a the busy street side and mostly faces North (boo).I sum - Ive had several business lunches here and its a safe bet for a mediocre experience.

OK, here is the deal with this place. The menu is actually pretty impressive, there was a lot of stuff I wanted to eat.BUT, the food was prepared poorly. My burger was way over cooked. Dont ask me if I want my burger medium if you are just going to cook the tar out of it.However, drink prices are good, they fit in our large party, and the place is pretty nice.So, if a manager from this place is reading this, I would say: Hire better cooks. I want to like this place more. You have a lot of potential.

I like that they give you a free meal for your birthday when you sign up. The food and service are very good. I like the way they have the booths arranged. The bar is much too loud and rowdy for me. They also have a "mock outdoor patio" inside and an actual patio outside.

Great food, good atmosphere, amazing service. Have always had friendly servers and never left waiting for food. Price is great for the food you get. Highly recommend the soup or the Yum Yum Burger with their secret sauce.

We went there for my free birthday dinner. I had the stuffed chicken breast and dinner salad. It is my favorite dinner salad. We love it every time we go there. The food, the service and the atmosphere is great. We have never had anything bad there. I would recommend Houlihans to everyone!

Our server Tina was professional and good. Quality of food has gone down considerably. The cocktails are awful, ordered a lemon drop taste nothing like it, ordered a Long Island iced tea tasted like straight sweet and sour. Was given the happy hour menu even though it ended fifteen minutes prior to us sitting down. Ordered off the happy hour menu not knowing and not being brought to our attention, but charged regular menu prices when the bill came. Just another chain.

Great place, great location, good food/coffee. Love the atmosphere here - come early in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee out at patio.... My Benedict plate is perfect cooked. My daughter loves her pancake plate. Will try different dishes next time. Highly recommend place when you are in this area.

Corporate run chain and bit overpriced for the quality. Still, super relaxing environment, nice big bar to have a beer or two at. Never overcrowded, and decent outdoor seating if you dont mind watching traffic and buses.

My experience at Houlihans was phenomenal. Our waiter, Clif, was incredibly nice and timely in taking and bringing our orders and made sure to check up on us to see how we were doing. His charming demeanor, in my mind, made the already appetizing and delicious food taste even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try very high quality food, and Id suggest you take advantage of the happy hour to taste some of the many appetizers they offer (of which the stuffed mushrooms were a favorite!).
