This hotel is located very centrally in Saint-Dié near the city center. Parking lots are close (free of charge), also a river to walk by. Our room was equipped with AC, a rainforest shower, a small table, a TV, several Shelves to store luggage and a window with light-blocking curtains. The room was small but fairly clean, the shower seemed recently renovated. The rest of the interior was slightly older, but not out of date. Additional blankets and cushions were on the room if youre cold. The breakfast was unusually rich for an Ibis in my opinion. From Croissants, also with filling, small baked goodies, baguettes, madeleines, pancakes and breads to Eggs (cook them yourself or scrambled), bacon, jams, several spreads, local honey, fresh fruits in various forms to cheese and meat, yoghurt with toppings etc.Coffee with milk in various forms as well as plant-based alternatives (Soy and Almond during my staywas available from a bean-to-cup machine. Six different varieties of loose tea from "Palais des Thés" were also availabe to make yourself. Ive bought from that brand before and their teas are really tasty and have a high quality. I was not expecting that from and Ibis and I am genuinely surprised and impressed! The breakfast room is large and modern with comfortable chairs. Some tables are decorated with flowers. Overall, the buffet is rich and has something for everyone. You could also take hot beverages to got and fruits for your journey, which was as a kind gesture as it was surprising. The restaurant menu changes every day and some salads are available all the time. The choices include regional dishes as well as some evergreens. Meals can be prepared vegetarian on request (which, for example, was not possible in a Novotel I stayed at recently). Im sure that the cook could also prepare a vegan dish as well. I had a salade vogesienne which included some cooked potatoes, greens, cheese and croutons as well as a starter. Both were delightful and well seasoned. The regional wines also satisfied me and my company. If youd like you could also carry your choice to the room, in which case you would get it with a cloche for safe transportation. The team in the hotel is one of the kindest Ive ever experienced. One evening we brought pastries for us and we were offered plates, tea, hot water for our own tea and a space in the lounge (a separate area with chairs, tables, beanbags, board games and even a guitar and a ukulele).Areas of improvement are the AC, that could be a little stronger (or is in need for service for the roof unit perhaps).Overall, this is the most luxurious Ibis I ever stayed at. I can understand, that other ratings complain about small rooms and other minor things, but this is an Ibis after all and not an MGallery. This is a great choice for a budget stay and offers an unusual convenience for this class. Therefore, Im rating it 5/5, especially for the kind staff and the overwhelming breakfast.

For being an international chain, I was surprised the staff didnt speak more than 3 sentences in other language than French. So we couldnt receive more indications than the room number. Old building and facilities. So for me it was expensive 80 euros for just one night. However it was clean and it is ok for staying.
