Rue des Guillemins 116, 4000 Liège, Belgium, Liege
A 3-minute walk from Liège-Guillemins train station, this traditional hotel in a circa-1850 building is 13 minutes by foot from Jardin Botanique's botanical gardens and 1.3 km from the Palais des Congrès conference center.Modest rooms have Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Minifridges are available by request.Buffet breakfast is available for a fee. There's also an on-site brewery.
Very good hotel right by the station. Nice bar area and good breakfast
This hotel looked much better in the advertised photos than in reality. I was disappointed for what I paid, as it looked quite run down, but I guess it depends on how much you can get it for. The staff were nice.
A respectable budget hotel not far from the centre of Liege. Rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate for a few nights rest. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good value continental breakfast. Easy parking at the secure garage across the street - ask the hotel for a reduced price parking ticket (10Euro a day).
A hotel located conveniently next to the train station. The hotel personnel were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were not so much. The room and bathroom were not at all up for the standard advertised. The room smelled slightly of mold. The bed was so-so. The shower cabinet was pretty much at the end of its life cycle. Also, the shower head was directly attached to the wall, making it difficult to shower – particularly for a tall person.
Clean, quiet room, very close to the railway station and bus stop, really nice staff
I travel a lot through my job and never have I ever encountered such a poor customer service as the one from Univers Hotel. The receptionist kept hanging off in my face and explained me that they could not refund me because it is the crisis, how rude was this person !To avoid absolutely and if I were the manager I would definetely not reconduct the contract of that receptionist
Horrible food. Horrible music. Horrible service. Avoid!
Having called booking.com and the hotel many times they charged my prepaid creditcard twice in oktober 2020. First blocking an amount on this card, second let me pay on arrival. Got promised in two languages theyd deblock the amount of the night rate as soon as we left. Months later this still didnt happen. Filed a complaint through booking.com sending proof the still refuse to pay us back and tell me the reimbursed us. They on the other had dont show any proof they did (which is fcourse impossible anyway. What a scam. Avoid.
Decent hotel with nice water presure and large bathroom. Location is central. Good clean beds.
Very nice hotel close to the Liège international train station. Everything else within walking distance. You will love the place
We had a nice clean room with a TV but would have liked to have a kettle. The staff were very friendly and it was a good welcome to the country. The location is ideal as well for the train station. We didnt have any food there.
Very close to train station. It is very expensive even without breakfast. Breakfast is also very expensive about 13€ per person. Bed is uncomfortable. Pillow is not enough.
Clean, close to the train station, almost the same breakfast every morning, good variety, but the vegetables are missing. Also, a mini-fridge would be nice to have in the room.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff with a good bar and the rooms are very impressive. Enjoyed my stay.
The biggest jambonneau I have ever had! Good service and good food! There is a big terrace in the back if you want to enjoy the Belgian summer. We stumbled upon this place by chance and I think it is the best around the station for a quick bite and for a relaxed meal.
The rooms are not so big, but very comfortab le. Very nice people both at the reception and the restaurant. We stayed there for two nights for the Belgian GP (Ferrari won!). The hotel is two minutes walking from the train station! Its such a bonus! Will go back next year for another GP!
Very nice. Accepable prices. Very good location, especially IF you travel by train or bus. The restaurant is really excellent, simplex interiör. All effort into the food!
We arrived in Liège late and we we happy to find their cozy restaurant open. The food was good and delicious. I will stop by again when I come back in Liège.
Pretty tidy, good service & decent food.
Nice hotel very close to main railway station and surround with good restaurants. Also Hallal food available near by.
One of the best brasseries in Liège, super kind and friendly people! The food is really really good !
I ordered a room in March through booking and would check in 16,Apr and told them I will check in between 23:00-00:00. the hotel cancelled my oedered at 19:01 on 16,Apr!??!!This is my check in day!!The reason was my credit card couldnt be used???!This will made me nowhere to live at night.Let me sleep in the streets???how a bad and unsafe hotel it is! I send e-mail to them at 17:30 and said I could pay by cash.I can always use my credit card check in other hotels and shopping...the hotel didnt give me any feedback. They cant read English???Its a preeeeety terrible experience.Dont believe in this hotel anymore.
Very close to the Liege Central Station, and people so nice and kind. There is a reastaurant in 1st floor open quite late night, and front desk provide small egg Belgian chocolate which is so delicious.
Fun and funky. The public areas did smell odd as we had read in previous reveiws but our room did not. The location could not have been better for enjoying the Nice Carnival!
Its ok. Rooms need a little uplift. Friendly bar staff. Convenient location and will be back there
The bar offers a nice atmosphere and good drinks. However, the food isnt great, so avoid the restaurant. I ordered a burger, which was way too dry and the French fries had the smell of overused oil.
Good place, good food but no room serviceAn indian restaurant is just 400m far
Basic but comfortable. Breakfast choice is limited. Good location near train station. Nice bar.
Old building with alot of small maintainance errors. The staff at the desk is helpfull and polite, but the staff at the connected bar was not nice. Good bed and it felt safe.
Very nice first impression of this classy hotel. Everyone is quit helpful and friendly. However. The last 2 weeks of my 26 nights stay. There efforts grew slim and neglecting. Unfortunately its the small things that count and I was slightly less impressed in the end. With the kitchen producing great food every time. And easily accessible from the Liege train station. All in all. Just 3 starts form me.
Weve been here 5 years ago, when the restaurant wasnt renovated yet. Looks completely different. Very modern. Food is good.
2 stars because of the breakfast and the kind staff. Out of these the hotel is back to the mid of XX century the floors covered with plastic which waves under you, the door of the room nearly touched the bed, the equipment of the room was again WW II. rather then 2018. For this price can get a hotel.
Cheap and cheerful hotel beside the train station in Liege. The city center is a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride away. No gym but there area couple of nice parks nearby to go running in. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor are good and they serve a decent breakfast. Rooms are small but clean and in great condition
Recommended. Stay was comfortable. Bang opposite the Liege railway station.
Modern spacious rooms, but sound isolation is bad. Whenever your nabours use shower you have to listen to it like if water is going to start fall from your room top to the floor.
Nice hotel and friendly staff.....and liegge is an nice shopping city..and its very close to the train and bus stations...a must see is the market on sundays
Nice location. Some of the staff knows very little english
A Nice hotel but i hope te Will renovate all chambers soon
Great location and great service on the part of the restaurant! We were in a hurry to switch trains, but if only we could have stayed and enjoy more of its delicious menu!
Good room, excellent service and food
Perfect location if you will take a train. 20min of easy walk to city center. Quite old rooms, but with all the necessary. Mattress quite soft. You hear clearly the bathroom drain from upper floor...
Terrible place, would not recommend unless you missed the last train, the hotel across the street is full (La Couroneand it is raining outside so you cannot walk away. To be avoided....dont know how they got 3 stars.
Nice hotel with great hospitality specially when u r in non english speaking city. Reception staff were really helpful and friendly!!!!
Nice place to stay (if youre by train). Very close to Liège Gillemins. Nice restaurant and pretty good breakfasts. The only downside is that youll have to walk 20 minutes to the city centre, but that isnt a big problem. The staff is very friendly and speaks multiple languages, which is great!
Very good. Modern comfortable clean room. Good and friendly service and good food. Only 50 meters from Guillemins train stations with excellent bus connections and only 20 minutes walklmg to city centre., along the River The Meuse. Simply a great place to stay
We stayed in one of the rooms that havent been refurbished so it was a bit shabby. However, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. 5* to them! The bistro has a good atmosphere, well priced and serves good food.
I got a nice double bedroom 3 times bigger than my friends twin room even though the price of each room are the same (they were very jealous). my toilet and bathroom are separated from each other and there is a closet that can fit 4 people inside!!! Guess Im lucky. Try request the room with a bathtub, maybe u will get a big room as well (my friends just choose a shower). The only down side it the air conditioner keeps turning off after 3 minutes and the key card only works after a few tries.
Our promised non-smoking room reeked of tobacco smoke, was tiny and rickety, and the staff were indifferent to these problems. The best thing they did was cancel our reservation with no fee when we found a place across the street that suited us much better.
Convenient location, right across from the main train station. Lots of dining options around. The building and rooms look a little dated but not a big deal.
Its an OK place to stay. Really bad if you have a car. The place is in downtown area and parking sucks. Almost no spots and you need to pay. The good thing though is that it is near the train station, what makes it perfect for those traveling by train.
