This relaxed hotel in a redbrick building is a 2-minute walk from Älvsjö train station, 11 km from Stockholm Palace and 13 km from the open-air Skansen museum. All the laid-back rooms provide free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some rooms have shared bathrooms and/or no windows, while others offer en suite facilities. Family rooms sleep up to 7 people, while upgraded rooms add sitting areas and whirlpool tubs.A breakfast buffet is free. There's also a trendy bar serving drinks and evening meals, and a sauna.
No windows inside rooms, so as you would except they are kinda smelly, at least you will sleep like a baby cause as soon as lights are off You cant see s***. Staff is super nice. Connected with the city center (20mins).
Basically a prison; the room had no windows, the roof was hanged down a bit but many of the panels were broken, missing or misaligned, it was quite loud and the bathrooms left me in despair: the sinks were hardly holding onto the walls anymore and the water wasn’t really flowing out, the showers were odd in functionality (if at alland didn’t look too clean… however the womens bathrooms were better (apparently). In our room was also some chewing gum stuck right onto one of the two chairs - it wasn’t stuck under the chair however; it was right on top and very very hard to miss. I suppose the room wasn’t cleaned before, as, they too, must have thought “why clean if they don’t stay for long”.The included breakfast was abysmal as it was very sparse, again rather prison like; the bread was okay-ish, the milk had gone bad quite a while ago, the coffee was rather dirt in mediocre warm water than actual coffee and the “juices” were (we supposesome vitamin Tablets that were dissolved in water. The location was decent and close to a train station that leads to the central station. We only had to stay for a short while - which was good - however next time we will spend like 8€ more per night for a better place. We are not sure at all how they’ve received a 3* rating, we are very sorry but this was horrendous.
They refused to provide me with a room despite having a paid booking !! I have been refunded days after 😕
Location is really good since its near the station, but thats all it can offer. Everything else is horrible. Bloodstains on the wall, some kind of white substance on the bed, the list goes on and on. Im not that picky at all but this is just too much even for the cheapest of people. Reception was unpleasant and refused to refund. I would never recommend staying here and I cancelled the same day as I checked in. Go somewhere else. To call this hotel horrible and horrifying is an understatement.
Unfriendly reception
Impolite reception and rude manager forced me to cancel my booking and leave the hotel !!!
Awful! DONT go there. Dirty, smells nasty (either pee or chemicals), toilet seat in front of the door, receptionist not social, didnt try to avoid the cancel but was not keen of refund.
Unpleasant staff, moved out the same day I checked in and checked in to another hotel becouse of it.
You should know that this hotel is not an regular hotel with assumed services. But when you campare their price with location you have a winner
Toilets and showers are communal, no privacy. And if teenagers are parting, you take a shower in the small of pucke.
After reading the reviews here, I was a bit afraid to enter the hotel. The reality seemed quite far from the reviews to me! Yes, the hotel is very basic, yes, the equipment is quite old, BUT: the staff were very nice, the room was clean, the guests were "normal" people :and the breakfast was good. Very good value for the price in my opinion.
clean, has human reception, good location.. next to Train Station
Its OK for price how much cost one night .
Dirty hostel. We had a room without windows. The bathroom was very dirty like a room. We had some biscuit in a wardrobe, awfulness. But staffs were kind and the breakfast was good.
Be careful this is very bad hotel very dirty disgustingDon’t think about staying here
Broken furniture, non-friendly workers, poor internal kommunication between workers. I dont recommend this place.I got confirmation av the hotell chief that i can check at a specific time in the morning . But the worker at duty did not allow me when i arrived. I was forced to wait more than 2 hours. After 2 hour the chief come and i got the room keys. Bed was broken. There was water at the floor of bathroom and no wiper to wipe it. TV remote was not working.
So cool and after an exoted trip from växjö to Stockholm I recommend it.
The receptionist couldn’t comunicate in English and very poor Swedish,She was confused and couldn’t find my booking.Simply not recommend this hotelFor away from Stockholm city and expensive to rent taxi to main airport and to the city.
The place was tidy and clean, the receptionists were helpful and offered me a cup of tea and a coke free of charge. I guess that is what hotel are supposed to do, but all in all a pleasant stay and The break fast had a variety of breads, cereal, eggs, sausages, beans, marmelades, fruits, juices, milk, yoghurt.
Very good standard for its price, very good price for Stockholm.
Good one at the price you pay. Good option if you are single and wish to avoid hostel.Breakfast is good too and location is just next to commuter station!
Super hotel, super brekfast. Thank you very much.
Good enough rooms, to bad i had to state the bathroom but knew that while i booked it. Breakfast was good
Unfortunately, the hotel room was badly soundproofed, as the old doors close very loudly. You can close them quietly if you want to, but no guest does. If you are accommodated opposite the shared bathrooms and toilets, you have lost if you have a light sleep. But the breakfast was tiptop and the staff very friendly. The hotel is located directly at a train station, thus the connection to the city centre of Stockholm is perfect.
Quite ok. Not so clean. Weak breakfast. Very small wardrobe in the room. But friendly staff and great location. They have sauna for free although it is small and without good relax area, still it is nice sauna for free.
Good value for the money. Clean and staff are friendly.
Acceptable quality for reasonable price, the hotels in the centre would be offered for the same price, but Älvsjö provides parking spots
Excellent reception when we arrived late. Loved the shower here!
If you just need a bed and some light breakfast. Then this hotel is fine. Very close to train station where trains go directly to city center.
Love this hotel always stop over whenever in Sweden.
The staff was kind and accommodating in so many ways. My daughter and I stayed here during our visit to the Stockholm area. It was conveniently located between Gamla Stan and a friends house, as well as some outlying locations we wanted to visit in the area. We enjoyed the simple breakfast buffet they set out each morning, during our stay. We were extremely happy and are likely to stay here again during our next visit.
We were a family of Americans traveling in Finland, and just visiting Stockholm, Sweden for 2 days. None of us knew Swedish, one was fluent in Finnish, but many people in these countries speak at least a little English, especially in the tourist areas. The hotel is a short distance from the train station, but its down a sort of side street, so we almost passed it. Luckily we had Google Maps walking directions to at least get us close until we could see a blue Hotel sign. The receptionist spoke English and was nice, but there was some kind of mixup with our online reservation, which we eventually sorted out.The lobby and eating area are stylish and updated, but the rooms are simple and stark. The room was family style or hostel style, with one large bed and three sets of squeaky metal bunk beds, concrete floors, and shared restrooms/showers in the hall. The showers are very open, not private except the family shower, so if you dont like sharing or like being modest around strangers, use the family restroom that is separate and locks. It was August and unusually hot, but we couldnt sleep with the window open because it was facing a busy street with a bar or something, so it was noisy all night. Our hallway was also noisy, lots of people were night owls with loud children and the walls are thin, so overall not a very restful place to stay when we were there.Had we known what the rooms and neighbors would be like beforehand, we might not have stayed there, but it was a good experience for Americans to see different ways of doing things in Europe. Traveling with 5 people can be hard and expensive to find decent accommodations, so we were willing to give it a try for our short stay. After the unusually hot summer days and walking everywhere, we were grateful to have a place to sit and cool off at night (at least a few degrees)!
The empanadas dont look quite as you expect at Citrico. And thats because youve mostly come to know of South Americas hand pies through the lens of Melbournes (sortaArgentinian and (kind ofPeruvian restaurants. Granted, they can be fried, baked, big, small. But here, all three versions (a traditional number featuring a fine mince of beef, olives, raisins and egg; a milder package, plump with juicy pulled pork and a vego version chunkily stuffed with salty potato, leek and cheeseare particularly sizeable and square-ish. On the side is a chunky vinegary salsa of finely diced onions, chilli and tomatoes, which some will recognise as Chiles calling card, pebre.Citrico is a little bit Chilean – the vision of owners Nan Kroll and her Chilean partner Julio Forteza. But theres also ceviche done in the manner youve come to know is from Peru, and things grilled on a parrilla, Argentinean-style. This makes sense when you learn the chef is Daniel Salcedo, who was formerly at Harley House and Piqueos, and originally hails from Lima.
You get a lot for the price. Clean rooms, slightly less clean toilets in the low budget rooms. But you get very good breakfast and a sauna free of charge. Great connections. Recommended!
Very remote.. Although good shopping mall available at footsteps
The Hotel is very close to the train station, just one minute walk. The room was not that big but for a budget price was decent. Clean and with a toilet. The breakfast was really good, they had lots of thing too eat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a supermarket and a drug store very close too.
Really good for 3 stars hotel and provided good services such as allowing us to deposit our luggages before and aftwr check in/out. Good location as well, requiring only 15 mins to reach central station. Only problem was it is a bit old, and only 1 shared showerroom can be locked.
Cheap, but not a lot of luxury: one sink for the entire corridor, unless you count the two small sinks in the bathrooms where you hear people washing themselves and brushing their teeth. One meter away from where they just relieved themselves. Toilet loss of bad quality, constantly making your behind touch the inside of the toilet bowl. Dirty saucers in the breakfast room. Dirty carpet in the entrance. Disappointed.
room was a bit to small for two persons. otherwise the room was clean and we had a good breakfast. reasonable prices.
It matches exactly my low limit for a hotel: it is just enough not to run away. Small bed, no shelf in bathroom, slow reception... but clean, good price, nice breakfast, friendly staff, right by station with fast connection to Stockholm...
Great receptionist. Breakfast was great even though spread was small. Location was near central Stockholm (10 mins trainand hotel is very near train exit. Great hotel !
Near Stockholm fair , but parking in hotel charged by fee
The Hotel location is 1 of the best things about the hotel, its Location is facing Älvsjö station which is on the common pink line 3 stops below the central station (Stockholm city). The breakfast is also good and they have luggage storage room. The staff is friendly and helpful
Tiny room, shower temperature wasnt even and fluctuated all the time. Ok service, good location. Breakfast ended too early.
I stayed there for a week in a double room which was quite small but functional, and the bathroom as well. It was cleaned everyday, so I cant complain about that. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was continental, so it offered a wide choice. The hotel is also very near to the local station (you can actually see it from the windowwhere trains take you to Stockholm in about 10 minutes. Its a bargain and I recommend it 100%.
I stayed here for 3 nights, and apart from some ridiculously loud neighbours, I had no complaints. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was decent, and the location of the hotel was good due to nearby bus/train stations. My only concern is that the bathrooms and showers are shared, something I would find a little disturbing, regarding that you might end up taking a shower next to a stranger. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend this hotel if youre looking for a price worthy comfortable place to spend the night. Good job!
Good staff, very friendly. Room with window was good but I have for last nigh without window and it was horribly. Never again ! I think that you need make a reconstruction in your rooms. Because now the rooms will be like in hostel but breakfast, and reception like in 3 stars hotel.
A decent 3 star hotel. I got what i expected. hotel location is excellent just 1 min walk to the public transportation hub.
Among the "worst" Ive been to in Sweden ... which still means its in a better sanitary&repair state than a couple of the 5-stars Ive been to in London. Its very basic, but the distance to Älvsjömässan is hard to beat, and the price is low for Stockholm. No complaints given the price point.
Reception in the 3rd floor. Ugly, dirty building. No own bathroom. Very small room. Old interieur. I cancelled my booking and went to another hotel.
