Hotel Vincci Albayzín Granada in Granada
Description
Good price good service
Poor internet, shower water floods bathroom, noisy/flimsy beds
Emi was our waitress at the first day of our stay. She was very friendly and helpfull. She also gave is information about the environment. Thank you !
MoreAwful service by the gentleman at the Vincci Granada reception (although the lady was nice). Arrived and was told the hotel could not find my booking despite it being paid and confirmed in advance. After realising their mistake (20 minutes later as I sat in reception), they put us in the last room (literallyat the end of a dark hallway, by the alarmed emergency exit door with beds stacked in the hallway outside. Clearly they were not expecting us or to be using this room at all. I now know this to be true because, aside from being so remote, the wifi did not work (there were signal bars, but the connection was not working). I even asked to have someone accompany me to prove to them that it was not working and the gentlemen at reception just shrugged at me and turned away. I was aghast. Not even a 2 minute trip to understand the issue. The lady at least provided an alternative that worked intermittently if we sat in the corner of the room. Not a great experience. Disappointed that I booked for 2 days but they did fix the room the next evening. Why 3*? I’m happy that I at least got somewhere to sleep.
MoreWhile the hotel is older, the premises are well maintained with high quality materials and very comfortable bedding. Great lobby space. The reception team was helpful. Restrooms on the main level next to a beautiful and spacious outdoor patio. Gym is downstairs past a ballroom.
MoreGreat location and better prices for the rooms. Best yet was the hotel had parking.
MorePoor English, not very service oriented. Wrong order in snack bar, couldnt correct it... I was given a handicap room ?? Is it offensive to have a foot-opperated trash can? With 3 twins?
MoreThe staff at this hotel is second to None. The lead was so helpful and so accommodating, I really cannot express my gratitude enough. Unfortunately my room was a bit smelly at first but it faded away over my weekend stay. ;D Extremely affordable parking and incredible service both at the hotel and joined bar. I was very pleased with the customer service! Well worth the reservation! Again, the lead host was fantastic, I could not recommend more.
MoreVery nice hotel super friendly staff. Super clean as well and a fantastic location
MoreWe stayed here for two nights while visiting Granada. The hotel was perfectly situated right near everything we could want access to.Close to sights, restaurants and bars we barely had to get a cab or ride transit to go anywhere. Everything was so walkable. This hotel was beautifully decorated and like the other Vincci Hotels, every detail was covered. I love the app that allows you to order a toothbrush or a pillow. My only criticism about the app is that it logs you out of the digital key - so the keyless entry is a pain bc you have to put your passport and room info in each time. But it’s nice to have if you happen to lose the key card. The staff were polite. And for the most part helpful. We loved Vincci in Valencia which is why we chose their chain for Granada and it didn’t disappoint. We are excited to stay with them again in Seville.Thank you !
MoreIt was late at night, wanted a quick shower before bed. Shower doesnt work! Can only take a bath. There is no rack for your suitcase so you have to put it on furniture or the floor. Very minimal counter space and what space their is, is full of their stuff, lamps, TV, coffee maker, snacks. I threw all their junk into the closet so I could have some counter space for my things. Their restaurant food is good, but it took an hour to get our orders. They did not have the courtesy of telling us it was an hour wait. I would not have ordered had I known that.
MoreIt was lovely, it was only supposed to be one night and we decided to extend it since everything was so good. Great location on a very busy street, but the room was completely soundproof. Breakfast was very good, with many healthy options. Excellent "live cooking". Restaurant was also amazing. The staff is very polite and friendly, especially the restaurant staff. Everything that was requested during the stay was accommodated. Definitely an experience to repeat.
MoreVery good hotel!
The hotel is clean and the desighn is good, the bed was very comfortable . The breakfast… so so . The location - fantastic ! You walk everywhere! Will I come back ? Absolutely !
MoreGood location, nice hotel overall!
It had very good location, and hotel is beautiful which has classic Arabic style. you can arrive to many famous area with few minutes walking from hotel. The drawback : one is that the flush toilet is really noisy and took long time to stop. The other one is they don’t offer body lotion like other four star hotels.
MoreBrilliant hotel, rooms Great, staff helpfulWill be back
Sky is the limit! Impressive the attention to detail! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, I definitely look forward to book in here everytime.
MoreGranadas great, this hotels location also. However the service at the reception was somewhat lackning. Stressful atmosphere. Wifi not working in our room, at all. Mentioned this and nothing happened. Also their parking fee of 25€/night was too much.
MoreThe staff is very helpful, and the breakfast is nice and the location of the hotel is very good
MoreNice place to stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonable. Was a little tricky finding the parking.
MoreMy husband booked for our 30th wedding anniversary, asked for double bed obviously & advised of anniversary both of which they acknowledged without committing. When we arrived it was possibly the worst room we have ever been presented with! Twin beds & windows overlooking a wall, awful! We had to cut our stay short & left a day early but to be honest I wasn’t sorry! It wasn’t the romantic break we were hoping for, especially given that it is January & the hotel was quite obviously not near full! Expected better from a Vincci Hotel
MoreStayed for one night. An old property which needs to keep up with current standard of 4* hotels (location at an ancient city is no excuse for being a shabby, old and not updated property...Worse is the promise on the website for a “well equipped gym”. I found a small room containing 2 hardly working machines. Receptionist said it’s a mini gym... come on... Made me real angry. In sum, disappointing for a stay in low season of 100 euro a night. Never coming back and recommend you the same....
MoreThe location is very central and close to many shops and restaurants. However that downtown location means downtown noises and the hotel is small and walls thin so you will hear a lot of noise in your room from your neighbors and others. At 1:45am, the garbage truck came down the alley below my 2nd floor window and started emptying trash cans! The hotel itself is attractive and clean with nice decor. However the rooms are very small, bathroom poorly done with zero counter space, bad lighting and a shower that could not be figured out by 2 ppl so we took sponge baths. The fitness room is a joke, dont even bother to make the trek down to the basement for it. The breakfast waiter was brusque when I just asked for more coffee and the omelette/egg man disappeared halfway through our groups breakfast.
MoreVery convenient location. We can walk everywhere during our 5-day stay. Instead of paying €25 parking per night, you can drive to nearby residential neighbourhood (walkable distance to the hoteland park for free. When we were there, there was often noise from nearby construction. The gym is very small with limited work-out machines (no treadmill, very good bike). We feel that there werent enough staffs for the breakfast. And we both had stomach issue everyday during our stay there... perhaps food hygiene management need to be looked at.The staffs at the reception were very helpful. The bar has good free tapas to go with every ordered drink.
MoreExcellent hotel in the heart of the city. Lovely clean rooms. It fits the vibes of the city perfectly
MoreParking is off site. Hotel is on narrow, tree lined boulevard near the river. Rooms pleasantly furnished in a lovely hotel design that wears it age nicely.
MoreCheap old beds that squeak uncomfortable sheets and pillows. The point of a hotel room is to sleep if you can’t invest in a good bed then you don’t have a hotel. Compared to all the hotels the rooms here we’re the worst by a long way. The rest of the hotel was ok and location was good but the simple lack of good pillows and an uncomfortable bed ruined it as we didn’t sleep.
MoreMy mum paid for me and my partner to stay in this hotel for a long weekend, (the weekend my partner had planned to propose), first we had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready at 1 in the afternoon after hours of travelling and flying. When we got to our room it was small, cramped and covered on marks, there were gouges out of the headboard and the wall by the window, considering my mum spent a substantial amount of money she expected it to be a lot better and it feels like they put us in that room because we were young and didnt expect us to complain. I sent pictures to my mum and she rang and complained leading to us getting a very rude call from the receptionist basically saying "why dont you like the room its a very nice room what do you expect us to do about it?", he then told us to come downstairs and leave our cases at reception while he gave us another room to look at which we ended up staying in purely because we felt so unpleasant about the whole situation. The staff were so rude and at breakfast the same woman 3 days in a row demanded our room number very rudely while we were sat eating obviously because we didnt look like we belonged there. She knew we were English and could speak English yet she would shout at us in Spanish legit whenever we went to get something, in my end my partner was so uncomfortable that he didnt bother getting up to get anything else for breakfast after hed had just a coffee. I was so dissapointed at this hotel and granada is where my grandma is from and lives so Ive been to plenty of hotels in the area and never been made to feel so uncomfortable. Personally I would avoid this hotel in the future, the rooms are sub par at best, staff are judgemental and nasty, the gym is falling apart and so on. Not the place youd want when youre planning on proposing at all. I wont be back thats for sure. I really wish id taken more pictures of how bad the room quality was.
MoreThis is an apartment hotel. Located in a largely residential neighborhood. Each apartment has decent facilities, clean and modern amenities. There is a small cafe at the reception desk where you can order coffee. Lots of tapas restaurants close by although some were not so good. There is also a local supermarket about 7 mins walks from the hotel.
MoreLocation is near the city center and quite easy to walk around. Private parking is available upon request at Eur22 per night. The room is quite small and dark (lack of lightingand we were placed just by the street so it was quite noisy throughout the night. The bathroom is quite clean but tiny.
MoreVery nice. Great décor. Wide range for breakfast. Moorish ambience. Central, next to everything and by a lovely boulevard.I expected the kitchen to be a 24-hour service.
MoreThe hotel Is in a fabulous location close to places of interest and within easy walking distance. I used the car par at the hotel although there are some underground close by although very similar prices. Staff very helpful, even parked my car. I will return again to this hotel as we was not there long enough. If travelling with reduced mobility take your own wheels or if you require mobility items, theres nothing close to the hotel and the company they used was a few klm away. They only hired mobility scooters for 7 days and you had to take a taxi (20€to collect as they wouldnt deliver. Rooms immaculate and very comfortable beds.
MoreLove this hotel. Wonderful staff, lovely room and convenient location. Happy I stayed there.
MoreGood looking hotel, great location, good price/quality ratio. Doesnt feel like a 4 star hotel, but a very good 3 star, lacks attention to details(no sleepers for example). Hotel restaurant looks very nice, breakfast is perfect but dinner or lunch is below average, better off eating somewhere else for lunch or dinner.
MoreWe stayed for 2 nights so as to visit Alambra Palace (WOW). This is a lovely hotel and the casual dining area you see in the images among greenery and casual furniture was a real treat and food great.
MoreNice and large room (3 people). Front desk staff/concierge vary (didn’t help with bags, were helpful getting us Alhambra tickets). Bathroom facilities clean and expansive, except for a clogged sink. Beds comfortable.
MoreGreat location within easy walk of the main attractions and close to the airport bus bus-stop and a supermarket. Neat clean rooms with everything in working order. Highly recommended.
MoreThe staff was not on their best night. Forgetful and not on point. They excused themselves. Not the worst, certainly far from great. The bar could be awesome, but the details were far from good. Did not look like a 4 star place, very sorry to say.
MoreDidnt stay here but I came in one day to meet someone . The hotel lobby and restrooms are very very clean and luxurious looking, Im not really sure about the prices but it would be a very good option to stay here, specially cuz its centrally located.
MoreLobby is the best part. Good location. Rooms are decent. Restaurant was terrible. Food was delivered cold and then when they brought it back out they had reheated everything, overcooking half of it.
MoreNice hotel in the center of Granada. Excellent service, breakfast buffet and dinner (included with my booking). The room is a bit small for the price, but other than that, Ive got no complaints!
MoreGreat place to stay in Granada with helpful and friendly stuff . Try the breakfast and ask from the polite chef to make you a Tortilla ! Great decoration and amazing rooms .
MoreTwo large single beds pushed together! Romm clean and bright, with good views. Mini bar in room. WiFi worked as you would expect in a hotel. No shoe shine in room. Shower was a good size with plenty of room & sufficient hot water. Room service quick and efficient. Cant offer any comments on restaurant or breakfast quality.
MoreVery good hotel, with important touristic attractions around. Friendly staff. The BIG problem: internet here (Wi-Fiis a DISASTER — the worst service Ive seen in all my life! They offer a free connection and a "premium" one, but dont pay for this extra. The "premium" is a fake. Its as just horrible as the free one. A total SHAME a hotel with this kind of internet. Its bad, bad, bad to the point of being USELESS.
MoreWe got a room with very very small window and a strange smell. At least, it was quiet and beds were OK. But the hotel refused to keep our bags for some hours after the check out so we could walk the city a little bit. First time ever that it happens and we travel a lot! Granada has better options, Im sure. I dont recommend.
MoreThis Vincci hotel is a 4 stars. However, basic services are inexistent. No doorman to help you neither when you arrive nor at your departure. Staff was discussing in Spanish (and complaining among themselveswhile attending an American guest that there are only about 30 parking spots but lot of demand. They double check if they could take this guest car. Overall staff is far from the traditional super amazing and kind mood Spanish people always have. Breakfast is what is expected from similar hotels. Room isnt at the same level of others 4 stars in Spain. Hotel has a nice decor, well located and quiet.
MoreGreat hotel with a great location and great rooms. The only thing I would complain about is some of the employees were a bit of snobs, although I spoke the language they still treated me like an idiot. I only asked simple questions and they seemed to be a little much for them.Id still recommend, the employees I had to deal with might have just been an isolated event.
MoreThe location was good, at ten minutes walk from the city center. The service was impeccable and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
MoreDesk service was good on checkin. Rooms and bed large and comfortable with reasonable mini bar prices. Excellent breakfast in cheap and cheerful local cafe on opposite side of street with good strong coffee.
