Hotel Stephenville in Stephenville

Clean hotel, nice rooms, and good staff. However, the hotel had many problems which ruined the stay. First of all, receptionist over the phone said breakfast is included. When I got there, they said not included due to it being the labour day weekend. Not acceptable. Second, I get to my room to find out that there is no power. Hotel staff spent 15 minutes fixing a breaker problem. Shouldn’t they have checked the room before renting to me? Third, the room door lock did not work properly and I had to have two different cards made. For one night, it’s okay.

Overall it was clean and comfortable. Given the age/original function its quite good! But outlets were in odd spots, very poor lighting from the two lamps, some outlets controlled by wall switches, and the bathroom is utilitarian.Its really small things but was frustrating at moments.The hotel staff are also the bartenders so I went two days trying to catch the front desk staff before getting the wifi password. The staff seem to hang out/ socialize at the hotel/ bar so I was never sure who was working.I did appreciate the large bureau, and decent sized mini fridge. It was not wheelchair accessible or mobility friendly, no ramps and every entrance has stairs.Restaurant service was great but the menu online is different than in the restaurant.

This is the best kept secret in Stephenville! Rooms are extremely clean, newly renovated. The food in the bar is very upcale, lots of healthy choices orther than deep fried. The staff are super friendly and accomidating!

If you want to get woken up by the noise of construction right outside your window along with people looking into the window of your bottom floor room at 7am then this is the spot to stay. This place is laughable! The only good thing about our stay was the staff/service.

Ive only had breakfast there but, enjoyed both times there. I am not a big eater and found their Juniors Breakfast perfect for me. Photo from inside the restaurant.. did not think to take inside photos.

Room was nice, lobby was well presented.There was a lot of noise on the upper floor, wifi didn’t work.

The rooms are beautiful and the beds are the BEST BEDS ever to sleep in they are very very comfortable the service in the Resturant was great and the workers at the hotel were great and very friendly they were willing to help with anything that they could ……. We will return

Filthy, unsafe, Uninhabitable.Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Similar to Bates Motel. Little to no housekeeping. The owner tried to check me into three different rooms while intoxicated, each one dirtier than the last.It took me an hour to get checked in after driving all day to get there. The entire staff of two spent the evening at the bar. The final room was a bust.NO LOCKS OR LATCHES IN THE ROOMS. This means anybody can gain access your room. I believe somebody entered my room without my knowledge.No lightbulbs in the lamps, no end tables, lamp on the floor, horrible stains over the carpet, suspicious holes in the walls.No sprinklers or fire system that I could see. FIRE EXIT LOCKED AND BLOCKED BY RENOVATION DEBRIS.I’ve attached some photos from my recent stay at the Acadian Hotel.I highly recommend against staying there.

Excellent location and nice place. The only downside is the price. We got a suite that was more expensive than its counterparts in the area. The hotel 🏨 was newly renovated and modernized! I couldnt find wheel chair accessible entrance though Im not sure if theres another entrance for that.

Ths hotel has been totally renovated - as of july 2020 - all room have been modernized with a great new designthe lounge area -LOUS - is well appointed and offers live entertainmentDefinetly a great palce to stay

The Stephenville Hotel has been taken over by new owners and has been rebranded as the Acadian Hotel. Its currently under renovations but select rooms are ready for occupancy; it is conveniently located near the Stephenville Airport. The lounge, Lous, is very well appointed and upscale and offers live entertainment some weekends. It also has overflow seating with a live video feed of performances, as well as a separate VLT room.

Decent price, too dark in the parking area but not bad to stay, will stay there again

I just love this place. A lot of people miss the extras. For example, notice the bedspread AND, the extra bedspread right there at arms length at the window, case you get cold. Also, there is a great table and 2 chairs in every room. Plenty to do too. I liked sitting out on porch the with those other fellas. We spend most of the night talking,about what’s in that red box. Sadly, around 3AM we went to bed and never looked. It was gone in the morning. My gosh, the adventure! This place just can’t be beat.

The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The decor is a bit outdated and there isnt air conditioning so the rooms are warm unless it is cool outside and the wind is blowing directly in the window. The electrical sockets also are loose in our rooms so that most plugs tend to fall out of them. That being said, there is a bar.

Sorry but I cannot rate this place because it was unbelievable. Never seen conditions this bad. Mattress was very old and saggy. Cannot give it any stars.

Staff was friendly but the hotel is super outdated. I feel bad giving it a 3 star. But I have to based on the quality. No breakfast other then muffins. I had to ask for towels a few times. And when I had the make up my room sign. Room was never made for 5 days I know its hard to run a business in a small town, but hopefully you can upgrade the place . Felt like I was going back in the past. Again. Staff was friendly . Wi-Fi was good. And you had great satellite television. Maybe a few upgrades to the rooms.

Housekeeping didnt have my room ready so I was put in a room with no Internet. Their dining room only serves muffins. No air conditioning in the rooms.
