Hotel Santa Lucia in Azogues
Description
I was not staying there. Only went for dinner. The food was great, service was excellent. Beautiful dining room with lovely background music.
MoreSalón francés was elegant and full of history!Food presentation always superb. Everything tastes delicious and impeccable service.Definitely a must if you are visiting the beautiful city of Cuenca- Ecuador.I can’t wait for my next visit.
MoreGreat hotel location was great….service so so…..people at front desk not very friendly
MoreGreat food, service, and atmosphere at the restaurant.
Such a historic retreat coupled with delicious food at their incredibly ornate restaurants
MoreAlways a joy ! Drink and food are great and the staff is fantastic. One of our meeting places to visit over cocktails 🍸Deb &Kogi
MoreBeautiful hotel in best location to explore Cuenca, just in tge middle of this wonderful city. Amazing service and very good restaurant
MoreA very nice hotel. There can be a bit noise because the windows are out to the inner circle of the hotel.Friendly staff and nice rooms.
MoreGreat restaurant in old style courtyard great service, definitely stop by in Cuenca
MoreLove love love this hotel. A jewel really, the staff is the most polite, sweetest people. The hotel is SUPER clean, the rooms spacious and beautifully decorated and the interior patio is straight out of a story book. Lord willing we can return to Cuenca and enjoy another stay at Santa Lucia. Oh yes, breakfast is the bomb 💣 😋 delicious!!!
MoreA quiet and inspirational place, very elegant and its staff very prepared and professional, very recommended.
MoreEnjoyed our stay, the staff was very helpful and attentive. Loved the decor and the ambience. We will most definitely return to this hotel when we are visiting Cuenca, Ecuador.
MoreDo not stay here. This place is a rip off. None of the rooms have natural light, the wifi doesnt work in the rooms. For $80-$100/night you can do so much better. Oh and the rooms are very noisy.Ive stayed in so many hotels in the last 13 months, this is by far the worst.AVOID AT ALL COSTS. All the good reviews are paid for.
MoreHotel itself is gorgeous and perfectly located. Staff is very nice, especially the lady with ginger-like hair who works the reception during the day. She was super helpful and professional. The place is traditional with an historical vibe, the interior courtyard is beautiful. Breakfast is delicious although the waiter was pretty confused all three days we spent there... Wifi is terrible, worst we had in Ecuador, but they are working on it. Our bathroom was not up to the hotel’s standing, but the hotel is old and that is what gives it such character.
MoreGreat location. Parking included a block away. Good service. Nice spot. Clean
Beautiful hotel, but a death trip if there was a fire
Interesting building with great central location. Sadly let down by being really noisy. Central atrium noise travels into all rooms, bathroom fans really noisy and other machinery noise plus road noise from 6am means this is not a restful place to stay.
MoreCentral to Cuenca sites, Excellent staff and very attentive! Rooms outstanding with very comfortable beds.
MoreRoom was too small. And more. Check out trip adviser.
Very dated and need of a good refurbishment.Breakfast very limited, mainly egg or egg.Rooms small with some over looking car park. No air con in room. Staff not customer friendly.
MoreHistorical place in a great location. Just one block from the main square. Good service, good bed.
MoreGem of a hotel right in the middle of historical Cuenca. Most of the sites are literally a 3 minute walk (the main plaza abuts the hotel). Charming staff and great service. Highly recommended!
MoreRestaurantBeautiful place for a date.Good English. Good server.Hopefully they just had a bad day in the kitchen. Mojito was with seven up? Caesar salad was off, too much anchovy. Lamb and mashed potatoes were very good. Chocolate volcano cake was slightly bitter.
MoreAll the rooms looks toward the indoor atrium but there no phonics insulation as a result it is noisy until 10pm. The location is good.
MoreNice rooms. Very cool and old and kept up in excellent shape. Rooms on the street side can be loud so bring ear plugs. Service is great and food is good.
MoreA very nice hotel close to everything in the old city. Formerly a private home, built in 1859. We really enjoyed our stay there and will return next time in Cuenca. Great food , excellent value for the money, extremely accommodating, English speaking staff. We loved it !
MoreComfortable, well placed, hotel for exploring Cuenca. Parking provided at nearby site. Historic building sympathetically converted for modern use. Two restaurants (and barprovide range of eating. Staff helpful. Coffee/tea on tap in pm.
MoreNice atmosphere. We went for Valentines supper. Waiter spoke English. We had a nice time. It was a set meal. (Valentines)
MoreWe had dinner here one evening during our time in Ecuador under recommendation by our hotels reception. I ordered the Steak and Risotto with grilled veggies as my side dish. The portion was huge, especially the steak. It was cooked very well. My husbands dish of Lemon Chicken was not as generous a portion and his garlic mashed potatoes were not garlicky all. While the service was good, the waiter did not really show any emotion. Prices were a bit high for Ecuador, but the service and atmosphere contributed to that. I would recommend for a nicer dinner.
MoreA jewel of a place to celebrate that special occasion. Excellent food beautiful presentation. Cozy romantic ambiance. Reasonable price and fantastic service.
MoreBrunch was good. Service was very good. I did not stay but the building is a modernized colonial building. Lovely and quiet inner courtyard.
MoreGreat little hotel with all its Eastern European Charm. Rooms can be a bit too crammed up and please ensure you ask for rooms with windows. Else there very little natural light coming in. But on the whole, great value for money. The hotel restaurant serves really great food too.
MoreBeatiful colonial hotel, confortable. The Dios at the cafetería das not That great. The rest is excelent
MoreGood rooms and service, excellent location, great breakfast
No gym, and same breakfast every day are my only complains, but the hotel its beautiful, comfortable, clean and the personal super polite
MoreBeautiful colonial hotel with excellent service and food. Rooms clean and adequate.
MoreNice Hotel. Clean. Hot shower. Quiet. Good breakfast. Good location
Smallish rooms, but well fitted out. Helpful efficient staff and excellent breakfast, great location.
MoreLovely old building, comfortable rooms, very close to city centre and helpful staff.
MoreFood here was fantastic. Served in the courtyard of the hotel in stylish digs. Waitstaff is almost there in terms of service. Highly recommended if you are trying to impress your date (or her parents).
MoreBeautiful space , highly trained staff. Breakfast is good
Nice decor a little bit noisy due to resturant in three covered courtyard, breakfast was average
MoreUsed to be the Governors house. The room was very small, as was the bed. No outside window in the room, which overlooks the courtyard dining area. Music and talking can be heard until well after 10pm. Room very stuffy because of lack of ventilation.Service left a lot to be desired, particularly in the bar, where the barman was missing more than he was behind the bar.
MoreSuperb staff and if you love hotels with history and character, this is a perfect place to stay. Its also in central Cuenca so its walking distance to just about everything.
MoreThis place is beautiful and has amazing customer service!! They where extremely helpful every step of the way from booking to navigating the city to entertainment. And the room is gorgeous! The beds are very comfortable. So relaxing to be here. Will definitely recommend and come back!
MoreNice hotel but our room has no window except onto the outside passage, so you cant leave it open and the fan ventilation in the toilet doesnt work so its not great, and you cant close the shower screen, also laundry is very expensive...and from 5:30am constant banging on the front door and unanswered phone on front desk were very annoying...
MoreFantástico, a real luxury 185 year old building a beauty, very comfortable, clean, amazing customer service, great beds, linen I cant find no bad comments
MoreFantastic! Excellent environment, the decorations are awesome, great service; the food is probably the best you could find.
MoreGreat historical feel in the heart of the old town. Very friendly staff. Some rooms have no outside windows though.
MoreIn any case do not accept first floor room, because they have only window to internal hall. So you will be 100% visible for all guests or will feel yourself like in the room without window at all. At the same time it is very noisy at the first floor especially when your upstairs friends are coming back in the middle of the night.
