Hôtel Saint Georges in Nice

Lets just say this hotel has plenty of potentials! I saw the previous reviews and was hesitant to book for 3 nights on our last leg of our trip but since the price was reasonable and location great and youre close to everything around there we ended up staying there. The hotel is fully renovated and everything is fairly brand new, they do have tiny old school elevator so heads up for that. Theres not much of reception/room service or anything that a 4* hotel would offer. Just a front desk person, which pretty much does it all. :Staff are all super nice and accommodating but I can tell its a family owned business so you just gotta be ok with that. The rooms are clean and maintained daily, comes with decent tv that you can chrome cast and wifi and really good bath and shower. Only downside honestly is that its just not being run like a hotel and more of a motel style, you ask for what you missing and they give it to you and everyones accommodating and nice. youre pretty close to all the action but not in the middle of all of it which is nice. I would recommend this hotel if youre looking for an economic clean spot to stay and be out and about all day/night and want somewhere nice and clean to shower and sleep.

The hotel is not a 3 or 4 star atall.Bedroom so drab and listless. Bathroom was fine but no toiletries supplied only towels.Definetly very dissapointing.Reception so drab and receptionists no interest in job atall.Would never stay there again

Decided to cancel my booking at this hotel after I read the comments about the hotel being closed upon arrival. Dont want to risk that.

Stor pluss med air-condition på rommene. Det fungerte kjempebra. Kjempebra service i resepsjonen. Kort vei til handlegaten og heller ikke så langt til stranden. Gode senger. Du kan strømme fra mobil til tv. Renholdet var desverre dårlig. Vi ble møtt med kliss på gulvet når vi kom, og det ble der i fire dager. Halvdrukket flaske med juice i kjøleskapet når vi kom, som ikke var ryddet ut. Frokosten var også alt for enkel med få alternativer, i alle fall til den prisen. Endte med at vi stort sett kjøpte frokost ute. Men hyggelig betjening og et helt greit hotell.

Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht zu einem angemessenen Preis. Als wir in Frankreich angekommen sind wurde unsere Buchung storniert!! Online gab es das selbe Zimmer dann nur noch zum dreifachen Preis! Telefonisch war keiner erreichbar. Eine totale Frechheit! Sehr unzuverlässig!

Food was good enough. Ambience and aesthetics were great. But the arrogance of the young man that served us was laughable. To the extent that 2 of our guests wanted to share a main and we were told that “at this restaurant each person must have a plate - no sharing”. The irony was that two guests wanted to share two main courses and we wanted extra plates.They charged for a whole bottle of white when we had asked for a glass. Our kind bill payer decided not to make a drama.Recommendation - go there, enjoy, don’t take any of their South of France ‘behaviour’ and check your bill.

Fine rom med nok plass. Veldig Bra a/c, holder rommet kjølig, aldri for varmt. Tv fungerer å strømme fra mobilen. Bra service. Vending nærme hoved gaten, og er mulig å gå til stranden. Er heis i bygget men veldig liten. USB uttak ved begge sier av sengen, sol skjerming. Opplever litt støy fra vindu og når andre på hotellet smeller med dørene men det er det eneste. Eller veldig bra, anbefaler, men er kanskje litt langt fra stranden for noen.

Hôtel très bien placé, au cœur de Nice et de ses rues commerçantes.Les chambres sont correctes et propres.Cependant c’est une grande déception. Il n’y a aucune vie dans cet hôtel et l’accueil est minimaliste. L’espace extérieur pourrait être un réel plus s’il était mieux entretenu et propre. Le petit déjeuner quant à lui est d’une tristesse qui ne vous donne pas l’envie de vous attarder.Pour un 4 étoiles c’est dommage. Pourtant, il en faudrait peu pour que cet hôtel devienne une adresse à recommander. Plus de vie, un espace extérieur plus convivial et soigné, une simple petite bouteille d’eau à votre arrivée dans la chambre, plus d’attention à l’égard des clients et ce 4 étoiles méritera le détour.C’est très simple et cela change tout !

Magnifique hôtel très confortable superbe accueil

Booked via booking.com. When we arrived to the hotel we were shocked to find the doors locked! We called the property and rang the door bell several times but no answer. We when then told my the restaurant (very helpfulnext door that the hotel was closed! We then had to find new accommodation. Unfortunately we are still awaiting for this to be resolved by the hotel and booking.com

Un excellent hôtel sur tous les plans. Au debut jétais sur mes gardes vu les commentaires mais on y arrivant cest une très belle surprise. Un bon emplacement. Un accueil chaleureux. Une literie agréable. Un petit déjeuner copieux. Une propreté exemplaire. A recommander amplement

Grosse déconvenue a notre arrivée l’hôtel était fermé sans avoir été prévenu au préalable, ça prouve un gros manque de professionnalisme de l’équipe dirigeante de cet établissement, cest un scandale. A priori ils en étaient pas à leur premier coup d’essai d’apres les dire de certains hôteliers de Nice. Faites très attention.

Très bon accueil. 2 salles disponibles dont une plus calme. Possibilité de manger dans un jardin en extérieur. Bonne cuisine, carte assez réduite (gage de fraîcheur pour moi). Tarifs un peu élevés.

I booked the hotel via booking.com and when I arrived today the hotel was closed. Very upsetting and bad communication! I heard from an restaurant next to the Hotel, that this has happened often….

Lemplacement de lhôtel est parfaite pour visiter Nice à pied, tout est àproximité. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable, pas de bruit ce qui permet de vraiment se reposer. Une bonne adresse que je conseille et conserve pour mes prochains séjours sur Nice

Hotel très bien placé dans Nice. Chambre propre, jolie, bonne literie. La personne en charge de laccueil était très sympathique et professionnelle.

Super sejour!!!! Lhotel est tt refait avec un super emplacement, situer juste a cote du centre ville. Tres bon acceuil des mon arriver et aux petits soin quand jai eu besoin de service. Je recomande!!! Sans oublier super literie!!

Une déception!Les tables de petit déjeuners n’étaient pas nettoyées lors de nos arrivées matinales pour le prendre, le patio n’était pas bien entretenu et sale et à rajouter à cela l’ascenseur en panne durant tout notre séjour. Seuls points positif la literie et la gentillesse des réceptionnistes. Vu le tarif et le standing de cet hôtel nous nous attendions réellement à autre chose.

Bon séjour au St Georges.Les plus : emplacement idéal dans Nice. Hôtel refait à neuf, chambre très propre, avec clim et volet roulant. Pas de bruit la nuit alors que la chambre était sur rue.Personnel souriant et agréable.Nous navons pas pris le petit-déjeuner donc je ne saurais avoir davis.Les moins (sil doit y en avoir: WiFi pas toujours excellent (mais ça va). Très peu déchange et dexplications de la part du personnel. Check in et check out en 1min30 à chaque fois.Néanmoins un bon séjour, je recommande 😁

Refait à neuf , une belle surprise ! Je recommande. Je suis venue lors d un déplacement pro . très bon séjour. Personnel aux petits soins. Bon emplacement dans la ville de Nice.

L’hôtel vient d’être refait, le personnel est chaleureux, souriant et à l’écoute! Les chambres sont belles et propres! Rien à redire, je recommence fortement

Hotel in zentraler Lage nahe der Fußgängerzone in Nizza, 15 Minuten zur Strandpromenade. Supermarkt (Monoprix), Postamt, viele Restaurants und Fast Food-Läden in unmittelbarer Umgebung, auch zum Hauptbahnhof nur 10 Minuten. Es ist recht laut, z.B. kommt die Müllabfuhr andauernd und zu Unzeiten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein Fehler bei der Buchung wurde pragmatisch mit Preisnachlass reagiert. Die Zimmer sind einigermaßen groß, die Einrichtung nicht gerade neu, aber in Ordnung. Ausreichend Steckdosen waren vorhanden, Sitzgelegenheiten leider nicht. Im Bad war es recht eng und mehr Ablagen wären auch schön gewesen. W-LAN hat zwar funktioniert, man mußte allerdings den Code alle Meter neu eingeben, was ziemlich nervt. Im Fernsehen gab es jede Menge französische Sender, andere leider nicht.Frühstück gibt es wohl, hatte ich allerdings nicht gebucht. Insgesamt (wenn man den Rabatt mal nicht berücksichtigtfür den Standard teuer, für Nizza vielleicht nicht. In Osteuropa (z.B. Rigakann man zum halben Preis doppelt so gut wohnen :)

I ragazzi della reception sono stati veramente cordiali dall inizio alla fine di questo soggiorno.Posizione strategica per raggiungere punti di interessa della città.Parcheggio auto gratuito di fronte allHotel. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimale! Lo consiglio per una mini vacanza!

The hotel is decent value if you are on a budget. Location is very good, its near the train station and close to both tram lines (a few minutes walk to both Jean Medicin stops). Yes, as other guests have noted, its a bit run-down with tired decor upstairs (though the front lobby has been refurbished nicely). Room size - Ive seen bigger but we could move, its alright if you are going out and about.Quite a lot of stains were noticeable on the corridor carpet, maybe the gloomy corridors try to disguise this?? - but I was surprised to see so many black marks. Our room had a faulty light, and the door to the small balcony (small but pleasant, it overlooks the hotels ground floor terracebroke. Not a major problem. The lift also malfunctioned once and we were cooked for about five minutes! Ooops. But the other stuff (air con, TV etcdid work OK.You can get a breakfast there for 10 euros (11 on the terracebut we chose a cafe (Mariass 1901a few minutes walk from the hotel - same breakfast for 6 euros. (And freshly-squeezed orange juice too).Houssein at reception tried hard to help us with our questions, and he was charming and very friendly.There is a fairly pricey restaurant (Le Langousteright next door - so our room got a bit of noise from the diners on the terrace below our balcony. A better value local restaurant was the Saetone, again only a few minutes walk away.As a basic budget hotel, its a case of what you see is what you get, its pretty typical, certainly nothing special but OK for a short stay. Location is perhaps its best point.I paid the local tax at checkout, then read the small print later saying it didnt apply to my daughter as she wasnt 18. But the hotel still charged us for 3 people, which was probably a genuine error. But it would have been better and more professional if staff had asked her age in case, or checked this more carefully. Even in Nice, the 10.50 euros I should have saved might have bought me one beer...

As basic as it comes but clean. Zero charm with all the allure of a dorm room. WiFi apparently never works in rooms. 1 outlet and on the opposite side of the room. Price was good

Albergo visibilmente datato con necessaria ristrutturazione, posizione molto comoda e personsle gentilissimo. Bagni minuscoli, pulizia costante ma difficile da gestire con tanta moquette... sicuramente un buon tre stelle ma 30 40 anni fa

Nice and clean, friendly staff

Accueil rien à dire personnel sympathique. L emplacement excellent. Par contre l hôtel très vieillot, moquette dans les chambres la propreté laisse à désirer, forte odeur de tabac froid. Le petit déjeuner ne vaut pas 10 euros (pas de buffet). Au final les 3 étoiles ne sont pas méritées.

STAY AWAY - Checked in, WIFI not working, room smelled and shower mildew, checked out, charged for 2 nights without staying one. Front desk person very rude, outside smoking, not available. Another reviewer (Expedia Aug.1 2017was charged 4 nights and didnt stay. Communicated with hotel about problems asking for refund, no response. Told Expedia that I used my reservation - Untruthful.
