Hotel SOGO Pampanga - in Baliuag, Philippines
So clean so good
What I hate most is that they have those purple lights outside every room, the mosquito-killing ones. Originally THE sound insulation EFFECT of the room is very poor, a room to sit to the bed, you can hear the sound from the next room, but you find a place for that kind of light, whenever you want to fall asleep, has been hearing the sound of killing mosquitoes, really very vexed. Every month I will go here for a business trip for a week, because your hotel is relatively affordable, and other aspects are not bad, but this is very bad, every time I cant sleep because of the noise. Tired every day, in the evening always want to find a quiet and quiet place to rest. I dont go there now anyway. I choose other hotels
Affordable place to spend the night when in Pampanga. We felt safe kahit kami lang dalawa ng anak ko and was child-friendly. Clean and organized din ang room where we stayed, it even had cabinet and hangers where we can neatly keep our fresh clothes and other belongings. The front desk personnel were courteous enough to answer the phone on my queries. The food though needs a bit of improvement sa lasa.
Nice place to sleep in the middle of night. So clean so good
Hot water problem.. not continuous flow of hot shower. With few minutes interval before you continue with your hot shower. Front desk paperworks are not well coordinated/endorsed with each other. Others are aware we have an online booking, others are not. Others are aware we are staying for 2 nights, others are not.
So good so clean
Depends on what you want from a hotel, privacy is ok
Stayed here for two nights at Room 239.Pros:•Location (next to Robinsons Starmills and SM City Pampanga• Quiet even its near the highway• 24 hours room service•WIFI is okay, you just need to login multiple times• Room is clean and it smelled sanitized when we checked in• Staff respond quickly when you tell them your concern.• Air-conditioning works so well.Cons:• Bathroom door is difficult to close, you have push it or kick it even so that it close properly.• Main door of room 239 has a broken metal part next to the door knob.
many mosquitoes inside the room. I cant sleep
Sogo quality! Always a good place to be!
So clean so good so sofe😉
The pregnant staff in the reception area is poor in customer service. She should not be put there in the reception area.
So good. So clean.
Very clean affordable rooms and accommodating staffs
Toilets are dirty. No tap water.
Amazing staff, clean rooms and delicious food, and very reasonable rates!
One of the best hotels i ever stayed great staffs very kind and respectful very nice and clean great hotel sogo
The staff were nice and the place was clean
I trust Sogo as a clean and affordable way to travel. I also consider it reasonably safe. They have complimentary water and you can even order in with room service.
Some of thier shower room had no warm water, reciption of tv are not clear
Very clean and good rooms. Nice place to stay overnight. Have in room dining services with alcoholic beverages available. For senior citizens 20% discount they offer. For SOGO discount card u will get 10% discount on room rent and food.
Cleanest, good smelling, affordable hotel rooms.. Comfortable to stay at.. Very friendly and helpful staff..
For the last options yes, however the mosquito killer is so noisy
Its not fancy but it is decent and people are nice.
Nice and comportable place very accomodating the staff very satisfied.
I have been twice. The place is clean and the staffs are kind and accommodating. The location is surrounded by SM, Restaurants other shops. Public vehicles are also available.
Sogo.. Is love... So good and so clean.. Loved the stay here.. 💕💕💕 I wanna come back to this place just to stay in SOGO...👌👌
ROOM: Booked the only available room on Agoda for the dates we needed to be in Pampanga, an Executive Room w/ Garage for 4 nights stay at 6k+ only. Having limited information on the room based on the photos, we were shocked at the Roman-themed room that we were given. It was a huge room, sitting on top of your own private garage, with king-sized bed flanked with pillars and a mirror on the ceiling, a huge mirror on the dresser as well with low & medium hair-dryer settings, dining table and chairs for two, television with different channel options, accessible bedside telephone for local & international calls or just for front-desk assistance. Air conditioner has adjustable temperature, and with easy on/off switch on the bed headboard with other light switches for lamp, pinlight, dresser, toilet, dinette. It was a nice room since it feels you have your own space and we didnt hear any noise from our neighbors. We can hear cars parking, but its completely normal for a hotel, though. There was no cabinet but there are shelves which you can temporarily store your used clothes (we keep the clean ones in our luggage).BATHROOM: Again, was surprised at the huge bathroom! We werent expecting [I think it was] a Jacuzzi tub, even. Clean toilet with exhaust fan on top, shower & faucets are with temperature controls, clean towels & towel rack, complementary toiletries (comb, toothbrush & paste, soap, shampoo, though of little amount& slippers. It is TOO clean though, I think, because I felt every surface of the bathroom still has cleaning soap or whatever it was they put there, that when put into contact with water becomes very slippery. Also, the shower handle needs to be fixed. Still, just minor problems for the bathroom.SECURITY: We have a safe-deposit box in the room but we havent used it as it was locked, and to be honest, we didnt need to, as we came back with no one touching the room w/o our permission. There are no keys given to us (I think this is for the rooms along the drive-in sectionso when we go out, we just need to lock the doors, and will ask the staff to open them for us upon return (not a hassle, really, as they were very accommodating). There are guards there 24/7, as well as some staff.FRONT-DESK & ROOM SERVICE: Staffs were trained in Japanese hospitality so they greet everyone with a bow and "Hajimemashite" (it was advertised you get half-fried chicken if they didnt do the traditional greeting). Front-desk checked our booking, asked for ID, and let us sit for a while as they prepare the room. Then a staff escorted us & carried our luggage (while on a skateboard, yes!to the room in the drive-in section, and bowed out. Whenever we got hungry, we just call for room service via phone, and w/in several minutes, the food will be delivered by the staff who will ring the doorbell (they also use skateboard, I think, for faster delivery). When we cant answer the door fast enough, they leave it at the antechamber before our main room and collect the dinner wares from previous orders. Food taste is on the normal level. Nothing wow! or eww. Upon checkout, you just need to inform the front-desk, then go to the lobby to pay for the services.LOCATION: Very good! It is just in front of SM City Pampanga, so you can do your shopping, eat at restaurants, visit Sky Ranch (which we did - look for my review on this), and hop in & out of buses & jeepneys to wherever you want to travel to at the terminal in front. A Robinsons Mall was also near, and a Mercury Drugstore. To go to the hotel, we rode a Victory Liner bus from EDSA-Cubao terminal for P111. Drop-off is at SM San Fernando.OVERALL IMPRESSION: I think it IS meant for honeymoon people (there were couples checking-in every time we pass the lobbybut, if you will look past the obvious signs of it being one (like the over-the-top themes, mirror on the ceiling, leather cover underneath the bed sheets for stains prevention, Jacuzzi tub and an adults channel on the TV, you can be able to stay at a very clean, comfortable & hospitable place indeed.
We had the worst customer service experience ever. Incomplete equipments. Broken flush. Delayed customer service. Unaccommmodating staff. Disrespectful security personnel.
The place is so clean so good. As its logo says! :)
Its near two big malls and has plenty of drive-in rooms. Although expect to have limited available rooms during the weekends.
The hotel is very clean. Prices are relatively cheap, and it is very close to a big mall a s the local bus terminal. You can rent for less than 24 hours at a cheaper rate. The rooms are very small, and do not have refrigerators or microwaves, but there is tv and aircon. Hotel isJust fine if you dont have luxury tastes
hotel sogo in pampanga near SM. Lazy staffs. Dirty Rooms. insects are all over the place
Nice place to stay... very courteous staff
nice clean room.... the room i got is kinda new with surround sound system where you can amplify your phones music. i can its a great stay for today!
Very affordable, clean and convenient as it is just in front of SM pampanga. Staff are friendly and they serve hot food fast. They just lack car service that you can hire to drive you to nearest bus stations.
Very irresponsible front desk. First they told us to wait 30 to 60 minutes for the room after 1 hour they told us we need to wait 2 hours more .
The place is clean. But sometimes they put you in a room with clog toilet bowl, no hot water, no water in the shower and they even shut off electricity during your stay. All happen in 1 fckn day.
Nice place but no windows! Good place, clean, secure. Nothing to do in San Fernando!
so good so clean but pricey food.
The bedding is extremely thin. The AC units are hit or miss and the food is terrible.
It was good hotel to sleep but when I ask for a extra pillow it takes me long time to have it they say they have run out of it. So have the pillow the next day but friendly staff!
It s a place with a special policy. We found it on line and was the only hotel in San fernando with vacation for the holy week of easter... we booked 1 night with agoda. The email was saying checkin at 2am of day1 and checkout at 12am day2. We thought that was a weird way to count. We thought that the price (1300pesoswas for some amount of hour (it s a hourly hour mostly)... When we arrived (at 2amwe had to pay for a early booking... we had to book an other night and because they are counting 1 night as a 24 hours they woke up us at 2am for us to check out !!! They speak a little English and were not friendly. The slogan is "so clean so good"... but they dont tell you that it will smell really bad since there is no window !
Clean and comfortable and is also next to Robinsons and opposite SM... location is fantastic
Great and nice rooms and clean Cr. Double lock Doors its very SAFE 😀👍
January 2018. Stayed two nights but the price went up for the second night. Still cheap enough. Had trouble with door lock and making international calls but the calls were free so should not complain. It would have been great if it were not for robotic staff who seam to be corporately brain washed adhereing to the letter of company policy and forgeting customers are people too.
Best location and very accessible. Some rooms are newly renovated.
so expensive, so dirty.cons:first, I went to a room with a toilet that didnt flush. then I asked for a different room at a discount. they said ok but I never got my discount. then the second room had a jacuzzi that was not functioning.second, the second room was dirty. I found dirt and a couple cigarette buds by the side of the bed under the side table.to be honest I would have been fine with all of these if it wasnt so expensive. if they are going to charge over 2000php per day, it should be better.pros:across the mall which is good. is the place safe? I think.final thought:I will reconsider next time I visit. if I can find a different hotel near the SM Mall that is cheaper, or same price but better taken care off, I will certainly stay there.and that was my experience. hope yours is better.
All rooms of this hotel are only smoking rooms. If you have health or breathing issues avoid this hotel. Nasty andTerrible experienced....
stinky, dirty, mosquitoes everywhere. this hotel is popular for lovers that need their short time privacy. They do their business and go while the room will wait for the next guess. Funny thing is they call the next pair of guests by names while waiting line at the lobby.. "Your room is ready"
