No. 37-1號, Section 2, Zhongshan N Rd, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan 104, Taipei
A 5-minute walk from Zhongshan metro station, this upscale redbrick hotel is 2 km from the National Theater and Concert Hall. It's also 3 km from the Ximending shopping district. The cool, contemporary rooms and suites come with minibars, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some suites offer whirlpool tubs and personal saunas.Dining options include an upscale Cantonese eatery and a low-key sushi restaurant. There's also a bright, casual cafe and a European-style bakery, plus a relaxed cocktail lounge. There's a floor of boutiques, as well as a tailor and a business center/lounge.
A beautiful and comfortable modern hotel in the bustling part of taipei. The staff were fantastic. The restaurants were clean and well stocked with food. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. My favorite part of the hotel is the gym; well equipped with the essentials. Will comeBack again
Liked almost everything from the bed to the bathroom and also the rooftop swimming pool. Breakfast, while substantial can have a little bit more variety.
This is the good place to stay nights. The room and environment are clean and comfortable.
5 Star treatment from a 5 Star Hotel in Taipei. They have a rooftop swimming pool.
food is ok, the location is great but the facilities are superannuated, and bed is bad
Why clients need to park so far? If you have no parking, plz note every customer. It takes 20 minutes ealking back to hotel. What the hell
I was on a business trip in Taipei and had a chance to stay at Hotel Royal Taipei. Everything was beyond expectation, all the staffs made sure we had an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei and love the happening area around Zhong Shan.First of all, the room is Japanese style and Japanese quality. Everything was clean and neat, bed was comfortable and came with two sizes pillows. I did not want to wake up from my sleep. Lighting in the room was just right, it was enough for reading and working without difficulties. Most impressive part was the bathroom with heated toilet seat, shower and bath tub. The bathroom was newly renovated and super clean!Breakfast selection was great. I definitely had a good time enjoying my morning cup of tea at their panoramic view window over looking the front road. I had a great time and will definitely come back here again.
I bought Le Cafe afternoon tea coupon last yest on April, which im not able to use till now caused by the pandemic. Today i have called the hotel and asked if it is possible to use it now? sadly they said it is not possible caused it is expired......pretty bad policy and no flexibility
This was the third time that my wife and I have stayed at the Royal Nikko in the last 2 years. The rooms are comfortable and of good size, the staff are very friendly and the location is convenient! Will continue to book with them on visits to the city.
My husband is in the middle of a lot of cancer treatment, so we wanted a place to rest between treatments.Great food, good service, quiet room!Thank you!
The Premiere rooms are usually use LOCK CITHAN for amentities but on the last check in ,we did not receive all in my room . I dont know ,is it correct?
Its a comfortable medium size 5-🌟 hotel. The location is near TMRT station and shopping area. Theres a park behind the hotel, wonderful place for walking and jogging.
2F Japanese food is terrible. if you want this kind of food, you can goto come chain store which is lost the samebut for the 1st floor cake is excellent. nuts cake is number one and cheese cake is number two. good!
The Hotel is located on the Zhongshan North Rd. theres many green trees on two sides street in this Springtime …looks beautiful and some kinds of European style appearance, especially in the early morning ..… just like an artwork in the Area.
Nice restaurant, good location, good food. Serving size on the 3rd floor Cantonese restaurant small if youre on the larger sauce, but did tasted great.
Great location, 3 minutes walk to red MRT station, department store, and lots small stores. Due to the covid-19, they will measure your temperature before allow you enter the hotel. The front desk is very efficient, polite. The price for the hotel room is very good because of the pandemic. the hallway had a smell, maybe the the smell of disinfectant. The room we stayed was on the small side, but was clean, comfortable.
For a buffet, the price for the kids is quite unreasonable..There are young babies that are tall but wouldnt be able to consume a meal worth 600+ the service chargeI mean, yep there were several food to choose from but its a BUFFET.TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A FAMILY DINNER.
A pretty good hotel buffet lunch at the Hotel Royal Nikko, most of the dishes were pretty tasty. The options and selection were somewhat limited, but the service and ambience was first rate. If you are looking for a classy buffet experience in the old downtown area of Taipei City this is a good choice.
Extremely rude people at the bakery desk, the older women there with the short hair greet us with a “tut” 嘖, when we were undecided if we should buy the cake. I mean we could still hear you even when you’re wearing a mask, 阿姨. I guess the hotel didn’t train you well enough to keep your opinion to yourself 🤷♂️.
I am very disappointed with the staff at this hotel. They robbed me of $249 even though I repeatedly asked to cancel the night stay well in advance of the night. I could not make it due to an illness and their response was curse and unbelievably rude. They did not have any compassion and charged me anyway. The staff at this hotel DOES NOT believe in providing good service because if they did, they would try to work with me. After all, I am someone traveling a great distance and would have been happy to stay there IF ONLY they cared enough about their reputation by treating me with respect. Instead they only are focused on their short term gains. So sad.
I liked your hotel, both your facility and staff, in my previous stays. I made a booking for two nights this time and was looking forward to staying there again. Unfortunately, I had something unexpected that came up suddenly and had to cancel it. Now I have to say your cancellation policy seems a little extreme and unfriendly to business users like myself. Cancellation two whole weeks in advance does still require 100% payment for both nights !!! This will definitely keep me and many other business users from booking to your hotel again. Thank you for reading this anyway.
Overall good experience, nice clean room (even though the last day the bathroom cleaning wasnt finished, but it wasnt that dirty anyway). One concern is that there was something with the booking system, knowing that the hotel had a nice restaurant, I got the room with included breakfast, however it registered in the system as room only but charged the higher rate (not sure if I didnt tic something during booking or it just didnt get assigned right). Ended up not going to the restaurant at all during the stay, the staff did not believe me. I would say book the room without breakfast and pay there if youd like to go (it is pretty cheap and avoids negative emotions towards the restaurant :)).
Decent business hotel with great amenities. Close to the business district and walking distance to nearby train / subway station. Service standards is superb, as with Japanese standard. Totally would recommend for every business travelers to Taipei, Taiwan. Theres a Lady M New York cake shop next to the hotel, perfect for a after dinner dessert. Hotel breakfast spread is perfect, you get the usual western and local Taiwanese menu and also Japanese section. As usual, service is good at the restaurant as well.
Rooms were large and clean. Professional service. Would like them to more clearly label vegetarian and vegan foods at breakfast.
Super clean, staff polite and professional. Speak good english. Not surprising really for a nikko hotel to maintain their japanese standard. Breakfast buffet good mix of asian and western choices.
Comfortable stay, service was really good. Staff were friendly and warm. I lost my key card twice and they were quick to reissue me a new key and get me inside my room. Very English friendly. The macadamia nut nougat was so good.
The Royal Nikko Hotel is conveniently located on a busy street, minutes to the red/green lines in an unassuming hip neighborhood with trendy restaurants, cafes, hairdressers and boutiques tucked away in little streets a block away. The staff welcome from the door, check-in and out was flawless. The room was immaculate, smelled clean and fresh - a retreat from.the Taipei heat! The crib for our 18mo infant was also ready with cute bed linen. If I was in Taipei again, I would return to stay at the Nikko again.
Fast and efficiency for the check-in / check-out process. Spacious room and comfy bed. Love the Loccitane toilet amenities. Good cleanliness and housekeeping. Friendly staffs who was helping from lift through the drop off point at lobby. By the way, the hotel has their own bakery store and their pineapple cake is really tasty.
Great Hotel and very attentive service.CheckIn was quick and efficient, rooms clean and modern. Location of the hotel is superb for Taipei city trips. MRT station less than 5 mins away. Looking forward to our next stay in a couple of days!
Expensive relatively. Pool had no water, other hotels have even in winter. Check-in was 3 pm, others 2pm. Buffet was expensive but get a reduced by 20% if you get the hotel members card. Clean rooms and looks newly renovated, clean well maintained facilities.
Staff are very helpful, friendly, and diligent. Will stay at this hotel again. Mattress is a little hard but acceptable, softer mattress would have been better
My favourite hotel on my regular trips to Taipei. Large Japanese clientele with Japanese level service. The rooms are wonderful with careful light scents and delicate touches throughout as one would expect from this high end Japanese chain. The breakfast and restaurants are great. The location is very central and accessible to amenities like shopping, eating, night markets and train station. The value that you get for comfort is second to none. The main and serious shortcoming of this hotel is the relatively poor facilities, mainly the pool, which is old and slightly run down. This is because the building is inherently old and has been redone throughout apart from the pool area. However because I dont really use the pool, this is not really an issue for me, but maybe for others.
I dont know the hotel, but I enjoyed the tea time buffet (14:30 to 17:00in the "Le Café" restaurant on the 1st floor many times. They offer a good selection of western and asian style food. Everything is labeled in English. Every time I visited the buffet, it was fully booked. So, dont forget to make a reservation. Go on weekdays, because the price is higher on weekends.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Royal-Nikko Taipei in August, 2018.This hotel offered super luxurious breakfast and excellent services. For example, since my girlfriend had her birthday during stay, the hotel prepared a birthday cake for her.As this story illustrated, this hotel provides wonderful time for guests.
One of my favorite hotels in Taipei. It’s in Zhongshan district where is quiet and convenient. It is close to metro, as well as shops and malls and lots of eateries. Service is good and the room is spacious (premium room type).
Staff at Nakayaa went the extra mile and the service she rendered was immaculate. She very helpful to assist me and my Wife to converting a dining room into a nursing room. Thumbs up for service staff
Good service, helpful staff, good location, nothing made me feel regrat for choosing this hotel. I toured Taipei frequently and have stayed in quite a lot hotels. You hotel surely rank the 1st 3 in my list (though I must say the breakfast by SWIIO Daan is really attractive, I skipped it this time cos they have a serious leaking problem in bathroom).
Location is near many food cafes and restaurantsand shopping malls. Hotel room is decent and clean. Personal rating of the room is 3 stars. Room cleaning up could be better with tidying up better. Hotel services are average.
The hotel has comfortable interiors and the decor is warm and cosy. We were impressed with the professionalism of the staff - from the reception, guest services, bell hops, concierge, housekeeping to the breakfast service staff. The location is pretty good too. Compliments to your management!
Probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The service is phenomenal and the environment is luxurious. But the real highlight was the breakfast. There is a huge selection of Taiwanese, Japanese, and Western foods as well as fruits.
The hotel advertising They have swiming pool in a front page. But the do not mentioned it is close!!!! We choose this hotel for the pool and the management refuse to give us any type of complimentary. The food is just normal far away from special and limited choices .The value is not what you Pay
Afternoon tea at the Café is a nice way to spend an afternoon with some friends. The hotel staff is professional and courteous. Food selection is limited, but you have enough choices to fill your sweet and savoury cravings.
Fabuolus hotel in the heart of Taipei. Check-in was very smooth as our group arrived quite late at 10.30PM and our rooms were all ready including the ones with extra bed. The room was cozy and quiet with fluffy pillows and comfortable beds. Details & amenities were amazing. The breakfast was equally fantastic ranging from japanese, chinese and western.
Superb location, a few minutes walk to the metro station and lots of nice restaurants and bakeries nearby. Service was excellent and rooms were very clean, would definitely recommend staying here in Taipei.
Best in guest care in Zhongsan, Taipei. Very clean with excellent breakfast choice. Bus to/from airport convenient due bus station is just across and stops at Zhongsan Police. Bell hop, luggage, and check-in all proactively helping. 2nd stay and will still book in the future.
The Nikko Taipei is a wonderful hotel. I was sent to Taiwan for some last minute business, during that time I had sustained a sports injury. The hotel went far beyond my expectations as everyone was so helpful and wonderful. The rooms were spotless and spacious as well as the facilities. The restaurants were all excellent with the highest quality of food. The only "slight" setback was the TV with only 2 English news services. For a international hotel of such quality I would have liked to see VOD or better digital TV since I was injured and spent most of my time in the room. Other then that fabulous I will be returning.
Came here for the afternoon tea buffet on the 2nd floor. We arrived around 1530 and was informed last call was at 1630 and will close at 1700.However, even at 1530 some food items were emptied and not replaced (eg. squid), and there was no one manning the noodle stand.Food were overall mediocre. It is more dessert focused given its afternoon tea theme.Service was friendly and prompt.
Stayed here 2 times in 2 years. Friendly staff, great walking location with seemingly everything nearby, nice bathroom if you are upgraded. I really liked Suite MUCH better. :- Breakfast is filling as well. Everything I wanted was there.
We stayed in Nikko hotel in 2014 and absolutely loved it. The staff were great, breakfast selection was good.the rooms were very spacious ,extremely clean. The toiletries was awesome-Loccitaine. Highly recommend this hotel. So conveniently located.
A city break for 3 friends and the Hotel Royal-Nikko was the perfect location for our trip. On arrival the team upgraded us to a two room suite, with two bath rooms - this was a great surprise. Whilst the room is beginning to look a little dated, it was clean and bright and the bathrooms were perfectly equipped. Robes, slippers, PJs and mini cosmetics were all provided for our stay, including daily complimentary bottles of water. We didnt dine in, but there were three options, all looked very tasty as we passed. There is also an in house bakery on the ground floor. A small gift shop and tailor are in the basement, the gift shop was pushy - Id avoid it. Unfortunately the pool on the roof was closed, and they hadnt warned us. Overall a lovely, clean and well located hotel.
