Historic, comfortable hotel. Ronaldo at front desk is so kind, helpful and welcoming. Wow! We feel incredibly at home thanks to his professional yet personal approach.

Great customer service. Mr. David was a great help . Excellent service. The lady owner also helped us out of her way even when busy really appreciate it. We are vegetarian, the staff arranged it. Overall good experience.

Nice location in the center of Luzern, good restaurant in it location "Pikante" peruvian and famous cuisine on the world. I love to come here and visit the city specially to eat here with friends or family.

Nice and decent hotel. I don’t know why people expect 5 star services when they are booking a 3 star hotel. This hotel is right at the center of the city walkable distance from Lucerne station and have Indian restaurants near to this hotel. If you want to do shopping there are numerous options chocolates(laderach🍫), cloths and etc...

Horrible. Hotel se disant "3 étoiles" sans certification, chambre minuscule, Sale, chambre pas faite, petit pain, croissant et salade de fruit limite inmangable au petit déjeuner et tout ça pour un prix de 466CHF POUR DEUX NUITS!!!

When you read “Best Western” you expect cheap but good, not this time. Part time lobby, poor breakfast: run out of orange juice and the person didn’t get the orange juice machine key to refill. Breakfast quality is average-low. Nice shower and average comfortable bed. Good for one night.

Sadly, I cant think of a single nice to say about this place. Terrible, small, spartan rooms devoid of any storage or counter space. No air conditioning, WiFi was frustrating, working just long enough to encourage hope, then dashing it. The bath "tub" was a deathtrap of slippery ceramic, and the breakfast area had all the joys of a detention center.

the worst hotel i have ever been.. location is good but... pictures on internet dont have anything with hotel.. rooms are terrible, old,ive got a scratch from bed, breakfast is also terrible... disaster of hotel.. i hope i will never come again there..

Very near hotel

Despite our bathroom door coming off and not having one for a day, the bed is comfortable. Oh yeah, there was a hole in the wall where the door opens because there is no door stop.

Good location and good breakfast. No tea n coffee maker in room, though available through out the day in the lobby, which at times was not hot.

Decent place to stay , not so attentive reception staffs, staffs are not that helpful , but its a decent place to stay.

Very pleasant well situated hotel close shops and eating places. Good and friendly staff. Room average but fine for short stays. Good spread at breakfast. Only criticism no kettle in room although hot water cups and tea items available free at reception.

No Aircon. Even the table fans they provided were of no use. My advice dont stay here atleast not in July n August

The best part is its location, walking distance to train station and near to the lake and easily reachable.It would have been better if they had a few more basic amenities like kettle, glasses, fan.

Have nothing to say, the photos on the net are not consistent with the reality, my room is nothing more than a “private hostel”.

Very worst hotelEven though we paid money in advance they refused give room for 4 members out of 11 in a group. Receptionist Ronald done that mischief and he gave us two rooms from other hotel for which we paid 18 CH extraHardly nothing was given as breakfast!No kettle I the roomRooms are very narrowUnfit for human being stayWant to initiate some action against this hotel management for the mischief done by them on 14-6-18.

Not a great hotel at all. Rooms were not ready on time due to "staff problems" and the bed in our room was THIRD rate and even the breakfast pretty pathetic. Very difficult to load or unload your luggage as you have to park on the pavement and dodge passing cars. Also difficult to get the tiny elevator as its always in use.

Good location, near bus stop. Low to mid scale budget. Simple breakfast.

Great time, thank you Rothaus!Very friendly staff, comfortable modern rooms, well located and best of all the amazing Peruvian restaurant.I spend a few nights and truly enjoyed my stay. I found Rothaus to be conveniently located near the train station and near main bus routes. It was a short walk to the Ruess river, the Kapellbrücke (chapel bridgeand the Spreuerbrücke (Spreuer bridge). Also, near all the restaurants and night life in Luzern but at the same time distant enough from all the noise and bustle to provide a nice relaxing atmosphere while relaxing at the patio with a drink or sitting in your room.My room was comfortable, clean and updated with excellent water pressure in the shower. The room had a nice big screen and I had good Wi-Fi reception in most areas of the hotel.It was a great surprise to find Pikante, the Peruvian restaurant located off the main lobby. If you love Peruvian cuisine you have to visit Pikante and if you have never experienced Peruvian cuisine then you must visit Pikante. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, the Peruvian drinks were excellent and to top it all I had a blast with the friendly Peruvians that visit Pikante.All and all a great time in Luzern and a great stay at Rothaus.

A nice affordable hotel in Luzern. Great location, close to busses, old city and not far from the central train station.Bad WiFi in rooms (common in these cheap accommodations), but super fast in reception.Would spend a few some days here, but not more than that.

Nice Hotel - spectacular food in its Peruvian restaurant Picante

Quite a distance from railway station so not too convenient if you are travelling around by rail

Great breakfast and friendly staff. No WiFi in the room. The refrigerator wasnt working and moldy sausage was left in it. The two parts of the bed separated during the night.

In the restaurant Pikante you get great Peruvian food! Amazing Ceviche and friendly and Spanish speaking staff! Really nice owner and super friendly owner. Worth a visit for everyone who like to trie the greatness of Peruvian cuisine!

MY REVIEW COMES A BIT LATE BUT HEY!I VISITED IN DECEMBER 2016 SO A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO.THE OWNER WHICH WAS AT THE RECEPTION WAS SO AMAZING AND HELPFUL.WE NEEDED A POT WITH HOT WATER AS WE BOUGHT INSTANT SOUPS AND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM THEY HELPED US.THEY TREATMENT WAS AMAZING AND THE ROOM WAS VERY DECENT.I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE AND I WILL BE BACK NEXT TIME I GO TO LUZERN!THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LOVELY SERVICE AND THEY KINDNESS.ALL THE BEST FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVELY WIFE. :)

Wonderful service and beautiful rooms. Located 10 min from the train station by foot, within walking distance of old lucerne. We had a wonderful experience and will stay again next time we visit.

2006 My honey moon Europe tour. I stayed one day. When I arrived at the Zurich Air port it is 10pm. From there I drove to there.Almost. I arrived this hotel at midnight.kind host wait us until we got thereThank for the waiting. We almost sleep in the car.
