Loved this hotel, with the cleanest sandy beach right out front. The food is so fresh varied healthy and always available. Cleaners work around the clock to keep the whole resort in check. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Well equipped gym. Regular activities. Family and kid friendly. Beautiful sunsets and did I mention the beach? Probably the best Ive seen to date. Great location and really really great value. Actually think its a star short.
Our third visit here staff are polite and welcoming especialy animation team. Rooms are cleaned everyday and in good condition just a few little decoration details to be addressed before next year? Food and drink have a varied selection for a weeks stay although can be a bit repetitve over a two weeks stay but the quality is still good. Moroccan Restaurant is the best. Evening entertainment has improved too with a bit more variety but does finish early. Location is right on the beach and not far from the town centre couldnt be better! We will be back again.
A beautiful location but unfortunately a rude, moody and unfriendly staff, poor cleaning service ( toilets were very dirtyand tasteless food. A total waste of time and money.I don’t recommend this hotel at all!
Firstly, its not the cheapest so you expect a little bit more so when you come for a weekend break and have to spend the best part of 3 hours sorting out broken room keys its a problem. No offer of help once, in fact the only offer of help was for them to call a technician and I would have to wait around for a further hour to be here as its my room. When you are somewhen for 36 hours its complete nonsense. I would not bother coming back again. Right now Im sat on the floor outside my room because there is no one available to help.
Superb stay. The best of Morocco is here. The food, the entertainment, the staff, all top notch.
do not go there nothing to do around the hotel.. no bars or restaurants around it. the food is shocking we was there beginning of September 2022 and there was 28 cases of people being poorly that was reported to the tui rep and thats what we knew of could be a lot more. me and my wife was both poorly me Thursday to Saturday my wife from Saturday till Tuesday when we got back home we was being sick and having diarrhoea constantly.. we know it was from the food that they was serving as most if the time it was cold or luke warm.. we have been to a lot of riu hotels around the world and all I can say is this is the WORST one we have stopped at.. all the tui rep did was fob you off saying what they have to say which everyone knew was just lies.. so stay away please not good at all.thanks for your reply but the tui rep knew about all the sickness that the hotel had so I dont know how you can say there was not any cases of sickness and diarrhoea in you hotel as it would not surprise me that there is not a lot more cases.. and how can you call it far flung and exotic place as your hotel was far from it.. so if you want prove that we was sick we can show you as we have documented evidence from tui rep
Its ridiculous that the hotel decide to reply now while I was at the hotel there was very little care or concern. The y fail to mention that the doctor on call would be at the guests (mycost. I was half way through my 7 night stay and wonder where else I could have picked up the illness other than hotel I was staying in 24/7. These people should not be running hotels or managing media responses because youre just digging an even deeper hole for yourselves. "Conjecture" huh dont make me laugh by using big words you dont understand. Vomiting my guts out and your housekeeping cleaning it is not conjecture. Your front-of-house staff scrambling to get me medicine at the pharmacy is not conjecture. Over 24 people reporting illness to TUI on the same day as me is not conjecture. Those are called facts. Riu Tikida Dunas is DANGEROUS!!!! Stay at your own risk or at least have money ready to pay the doctors because one way or another, youll need it.
This hotel is fabulous darling only one criticism the toilets in the reception bar are a 6 mile hike to get to so make plenty of time lol they do need one closer to the bar
Lovely hotel, clean, maintained, great all inclusive experience, service was good, the animation team were the very best, catering for children of all ages.Stayed for 11 nights and the food had just about enough variety. All the good sunbed sports were gone before 8am, even though the weather in Agadir can be hazy until lunchtime.Rooms were good size, although we had no air con for the whole stay. Luckily, temps never got above 30 degrees.Tip - book the tennis for the last slot, you can get more than an hours worth (although its is free!)Entertainment is good, but short, at night, so take cards/games.For the hotel: Im disappointed you couldnt/didnt fix our air con. Also, the gardeners use/waste way too much water for the gardens! Thanks for the lovely stay!
Lovely hotel great staff some minor issues to be improved like proper bath towels not paper thin large tea towels in bathrooms.Food good, entertainment ok but they try need to have better lounge entertainment really some good most poor and amateurish.Overall the positive outweigh the negative big time.
What a really beautiful hotel, with excellent courtious and very helpful staff. The rooms were really nice. The animation team especially loopy lou went above and beyong for my son with extra needs. I would have given five stars if the morroccan bands were every night 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Unhelpful, rude front desk staff at an otherwise pleasant resort hotel with seemingly nice facilities. This week, I attempted to visit the Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas on 3 separate occasions, politely requesting to take a quick peek at their facilities because I was considering it as a potential venue for a future event. The first time, they told me to wait in the lobby so someone could show me around, but after waiting for a prolonged period of time, I asked them if I could come another time when they weren’t so busy. When I came back the following evening as they suggested, they told me to come back the next day between 11-12pm. When I made my third visit to the hotel, they said they could not allow me to even take a quick glance around the lobby. They refused and said, “it’s not possible.” So I gave up.I was not dressed in a suit and tie (intentionally), and I understand they need to keep the facilities secure. However, I was only requesting a quick look, offering to go with a staff member if they preferred. To the hotel front door staff, be careful whom you shrug off and dismiss. How your front desk staff treats visitors who express an interest in staying at your hotel is an indication of how welcoming your hotel is in general. I was actually considering the Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas as a venue for an event involving 100+ overseas corporate clients. I approached the Sofitel down the road in the exact same way, and they warmly invited me to view their hotel grounds. Although the Sofitel is more expensive, the dismissive front desk staff at the Hotel Riu made the choice very simple—Sofitel for sure.
Just back from weeks stay here. Staff are so friendly. Especially Samia from reception and Aziz (our favourite!). Family friendly, lots to do and delicious food!
My expectation of the hotel I was expecting it to stand up to it been a four star hotel far from it. Where do I start..... The room we were booked in had constant ants.... Not only on the floor but in the bed on the table surfaces too. I was bitten by some insects on my whole stay there unfortunately 10 days. Lets move onto the food...... Absolutely tasteless.... I was expecting nice spice and good Moroccon food. The food been so bland gave me diaorehea I had constant stomach cramps. It gets worse there was little black flies not only flying over the food one could help themsves too but actually resting on the cheese slices etc. Some staff I found very rude in terms they dont believe in smiling.... But one did realise they would smile to their fellow Moroccon guests. I would not ever again visit this hotel it has put me off coming to Morocco again. I did report some issues to the Director Antonio who was there but they are there to listen but not make amendments. I give him credit for listening but I know deep down nothing would be taken on board. Staff at the bar need to smile more. Their facial sad expressions are off putting. I feel such a waste of money coming her.
Nice resort, staff very friendly and helpful. Problem with people leaving their towels on Sun loungers over night and from very early in the morning to reserve them then not returning until late afternoon! Very rude and annoying. Would love to see the chaos if the hotel picked up all the towels at 07:30 each morning.
Nice grounds and pools scene however, the food is some of blandest, flavourless that I have ever tasted. We expected a Moroccan hotel to serve a few dishes with some spice and seasoning. What a disappointment! Not even a hint of basic spices, no garlic, no ginger, no chilies.People spend their hard earned money on holidays, at the very least they should have good food. With just a few tweaks, this hotel can become truly great. The bars are ok, very poor quality of alcohol, awful pre-mixed cocktails. The best thing about the main bar is the Moroccan band, they were excellent even though I dont understand what they are singing.
Customer Service need to be improved. Menus most the time we eating the same foods without taste.
Excellent Staff, service, food although repetitive was always fresh and delicious. All inclusive resort, literally on the sandy beach front. Not overpriced at all. The waiter Yassine, looked after us, very attentive. Keep. It up, will deffo be back..
Been coming here for more than 10 years before covid.. have been waiting at check out right now for more than an hour because of internal problems after a long road.In addition, one of the male receptionists was rude.Be a bit more respectful of long time clients.Won’t be coming here anymore. Will leave another review at the end of our stay to review the amenities.
Spent a week here. Its a lovely place, very beautifully kept and clean everywhere. Good location near the beach and the town. Could do with more loungers and a lot more umbrellas. Twice staff took our umbrella for someone else while we were sat there without even asking! Otherwise staff were really helpful and always polite.
Just home from a amazing week family of 3 with a 16 year old son.he was the first to say he would love to come back.the food is wow something for everyone we only eat at the hotel. The staff are so friendly nothing is a manners goes a long way with the staff
Arrived and no food in a all inclusive hotel staff no help at all ilham refused to give me a hot meal service very very poor
The best hotel ,they are so polite with each costumer. We had the best holiday ,the food it s soo good as well.Thank youu and see you next time
100% recommend and would love to come back!We just stayed here last week, it was an amazing stay! Shoutout to Ayboude who was the entertainer during the day, he was there every single day and had amazing energy and ran a great aqua aerobics! The drink selection was amazing, great choice for an all inclusive was a massive bonus. The rooms were lovely, spacious, very clean and nice showerThe grounds and pool were clean and gorgeous. The hotel was huge and just the views when on a sunbed were gorgeous. The food in the standard restaurant wasn’t my favourite but did have the staples so never went hungry. The two special restaurants (Asian and Moroccanwere gorgeous, lovely and fresh and would recommend booking asap (must book the table but still included)The night entertainment was amazing, you had a show every night and then a karaoke bar open till 13:00 which was amazing if you don’t want to leave the resort!I can’t wait to come back and enjoy another mojito!
Brilliant place only one problem the entry system into the rooms, card keys never work! Other than that an amazing vacation 😉
Service staff are outstanding! Very polite, friendly and helpful. All you can eat food and drinks are good. Spacious, well kept and comfortable grounds. Few problems with rooms, most were taking care of eventually but we were out of air conditioning our whole stay (5 nights- alright at night if we left back door open and fan on, as the evenings cool down.
Nice hotel. Food is not always great. Staff is very friendly.
Great location. Great Facilities, Friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.
The hotel grounds are so beautiful and well kept, the pools are cleaned frequently, the restaurant staff are quite attentive (some better than others)Our room was nice and cool with the air conditioner. The shower was magnificent, truly a highlight. The restaurant had a great selection of different foods - not sure what everyone else is complaining about in reference to not enough variety. Almost every day there was a new set of dishes, one night was Greek gyros, another was Mexican wraps, there’s a huge selection of salads every day, an American style side with pasta, pizza and chips (and often other things)The breakfast had a huge range of things, I had the traditional fried bread with red onion slices every morning and would go back just for that!I highly recommend booking to have dinner at their Moroccan restaurant. Really brilliant atmosphere and traditional foods on offer. A heightened version of the Moroccan food on offer at their normal restaurant.Don’t bother going to the Japanese restaurant unless you’re really craving something different. I preferred the normal restaurant. My partner did suffer from food poisoning on the second night, we think it was the fish tajine which had been sitting out for maybe an hour already (a guess). The receptionist didn’t care or offer any help or suggestions when I told her about his sickness.I didn’t have any troubles with the food. The beach is lovely but don’t put your head under the water! The sea in Morocco isn’t safe I think. The pools were lush. Truly a lovely place to lay around all day, but try stay away from the families as they’re often loud and not taken care of properly by their families ignoring them.Every evening there’s an entertainment event in the bar which is right next to the restaurant, I wish we went every night! The staff work so hard all day and then perform a song and dance for an hour each evening, they’re very impressive! We laughed a lot, sang and danced along. One night there was a magician which was very impressive.
First night, tui planned arrival , with no dinner, get to room , sink plug is faulty and blocked the sink, a/c faulty , poo stain on the bathroom wall , behind the toilet rolls , no TUI rep to deal with issues . No iron, no kettle, no shampoo
If you dont like a lot of noise I suggest a stay in a Riu Hotel adults only. Living in difficult times I feel it very disturbing to see half full plates of uneaten food being thrown away. The guest should be rendered attentif of this awful waste. I think food wastage is as disturbing as climate change.
If I can use - stars I would . This place is a mess. Let’s start off with the fact that we were racially profiled by the front desk people and that doesn’t sit well with any human . They didn’t allow us to check in because we carry different passports. We waited an hour and half in the reception. No water was offered. I don’t recommend this place at all. Safe travels everyone
Weve stayed at a number of Rui hotels over the years, and is our favourite brand when making our choice, once a destination has been chosen. Tikida Dunas is a lovely hotel, slightly different to a few others around as the rooms are set back in well kept grounds with the amenities on the "beach" front. Good number of pools, so you can find what suits you. The entertainment is far from evasive, if quiet is what you are looking for. Restaurants are to the Rui standard with plenty of choice. And a first for us the Rui app, get it! Brilliant for everything around the hotel. And the whole hotel has WiFi! Yes even the rooms, and by the pool.
Great location literally a stones throw from the beautiful sandy beach. Great promonade to be able to walk the length of the beach to a beautiful marina (about an hours leisurely walk away). The hotel staff are amazing, the whole place is spotless and the gardens are immaculate.Rooms are comfortable need a little bit updating (dont spend much time in the room only to shower and sleepbut again was spotlessly clean - the cleaning team attend everyday.Buffet style all inclusive. Separate Asian and Morrocan restaurants available to book... Moroccan restaurant was great, food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Great hotel, rooms good size always clean as is all the hotel. Only downside although it is nice the food is the same everyday hardly any variation at all.
Permanent problem with sunbeds. Too little for the number of guests. Waking up at 7 am to take a seat is probably not normal.
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights returned on the 13th April. The hotel is very impressive, stunning views at the back of the hotel overlooking the beach and a beautiful sunset. The grounds are very well maintained lots of staff and all very attentive and friendly. Our room was on the top floor with our balcony facing the inner grounds overlooking the duck pond with just a glimpse of the sea in the distance. Room was very spacious and comfortable. And cleaned every day. We slept well as the evenings were very cool. On the downside of thing, lots of building work going on outside the front of the hotel so very noisy early in the morning as the work started at 7.30am and unfortunate if you have a room like ours (room 2222that was on the outer side of the hotel.Pools was very refreshing (bit chillybut it was early April. Plenty of entertainment going on if you want to get onvolved. The entertainment team, pool maintenance and bar staff work so hard and are very friendly and chatty.Theres a lovely walk at the back of the hotel along a promenade by the beach we did this every morning. Huge beach but due to bad weather before our arrival the beach was full of washed up rubbish and lots of it. But there were teams of workers working very hard and a clean up was in progress, Sea was rough and huge waves, black flags so no swimming allowed but really wouldnt have wanted to go in. Could be a different story once the weather changes and its warmer and calmer. Theres a few sellers along the walk. They dont tend to bother you if you just say "no thank you" they will leave you alone and just say hello.Weather was very windy everyday. But it was a nice temperature during the day but the evenings were very chilly. The food was ok, plenty of choice. We both became unwell on our 4th day/evening with upset stomachs which lasted for the rest of our holiday. Both still not great and has lasted for 6 days now. Cant say what it was but wasnt a great end to our short stay here.
First time in Morocco, hotel, staff and entertainment very good. We were made welcome by everyone on arrival and all our holiday by the locals as well as the staff. We look forward to returning
Riu Tikida Dunas is a place that I will revisit with family and friends for many times to come if the future allows it. The staff is friendly, the hotel is very well located and very beautiful. They have everything you or your kids might need. It is very close to every interesting place in Agadir. The only bad moment I lived was at the check-in... I believe that they can hire more professional people at the reception desk as these people have given me a first bad impression that fortunately was completely wrong and we ended up spending very nice three days
Lovely hotel and great location. Amazing customer service. A special shout out to Ahlame and Ibrahim (animation team). You guys made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you and see you soon.
We came here for 1 week to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing!Great service all round and food was always on time and fresh. Room was always kept clean daily and staff were really nice.Would definitely recommend for a nice beach getaway.
The service in this hotel was exceptional. Every staff member was genuinely pleased to welcome you with a beaming smile. The rooms were clean, spacious and a balcony. The food was superb. Highly recommend.Thank you for a very enjoyable stay
Good hotelGood locationStaff could have been more accommodating stayed there for 5 days yet got asked to show my wristband daily. Security need to learn manners.
Great hotel! Clean, large rooms, I had a sea view where the sight and the sound of the ocean is very calming. Several swimming pools with a heated pool inside, private beach, many activities. Restaurant is good (although I got one time diarrheamany choices, several themes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Best hotel I have been in Morocco till now!
We loved the settings. Service and personel amazing, helpful and cooperative. Buffet great. But…Internet not stable and definitely not reliable in rooms far from the reception. Have that in mind if you need to work on internet during your stay.Loud music and bang bang until 2 am from a nightclub close-by. Unbearable. Be ready for it if your room is in the 3000s.We went there for a quiet place to work and sleep. A fail. We had a good price sure, but had we known we would not have paid it.
This hotel is one of the best in Agadir. It is very clean and looks very modern and contemporary. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. From the security to the reception. In particular Essadia… she is always smiling and very attentive. Her English language was spot on. And any issues she would find a solution. The other staff were also very nice. The food was also delicious… loads of variety and always stocked up. One downside… can get repetitive. The gym is also decent… sufficient enough for an all round workout. Swimming pool is amazing. I would definitely come back. Highly recommended
We had a wonderful holiday at the Hotel Riu Tikada Dunas, staff were the best, from reception, bar staff, restaurants, animation team etc all so pleasant and helpful, everywhere was spotless, lovely hotel. Food was varied, so always something for everyone, only one slight criticism, food in evening restaurant, wasnt always hot, lunchtime restaurant was fine, I dont know if it was volume of guests in evening or the temperature of heated area. But it didnt spoil our stay. We will definitely be back for another holiday,
Just got back from a 10 night stay 23/10 Hotel very clean and impressive !!!Staff very friendly and hard workingOnly downfall for us was the food, coldAnd same every night both myself and partner was poorly being sick and stomach cramps! Two nights of the holiday wasn’t serving beer against their religion apparently luckily we don’t drink much alcohol if so we would have been fuming! Seeing you have paid for it all inclusiveOne restaurant was closed and bar serving all day snacks was closed toNo mention of this when booking? My first impression was great come back with family but not sure now which is a shame such a stunning place
Our stay was excellent!!! Honestly it was the staff!! By the far the most loveliest staff ever!! Especially the bar and restaurant staff! The food was amazing and had a good selection!!! The rooms were beautiful with a view of the pools, sea and mountain!!! But for me the staff made our holiday! Will definitely come back!!
I really enjoyed staying at this Hotel, we arrived very late almost 2am and they kept the small restaurant open for us to grab something to eat. We were tired and hungry from the journey so I was so pleased to manage to get something to eat. What was very interesting was the staff at the hotel, they were excellent, very helpful and polite. I really loved the Moroccan people.I would definitely go back again in the future. I was there with my son Jacob.
