I have had only buffet lunch once.The experience was not good. As the food was not great. Something was not right about the food. Looked stale.Anyways the decorations were pretty and glorious.This is one of the oldest hotel of Dhaka city. The hotel was found between 1960-1962.

This hotel located in the busiest part of Dhaka. I found many drunk people and too much noise during my stay in this hotel; well, it’s not a night club neither not a bar only place - this is mainly a hotel. I did not felt safe staying here. This hotel should have taken over by proper people who knows hospitality business.

Its kind of a milestone of Dhaka. One of the older posh hotel of Dhaka is still in business. However, interior is getting dated. The quality of food doesnt justify the high price anymore.

This is not a negative review but the real fact. The old fashioned hotel with very bad experience @ buffet. Their buffet price is Tk. 2450 with very minimum items most of which are very regular@ regular restaurant. I didnt get any exclusive item there.

Lucratieve stuffs here in purbani.A buffet I attended in purbani they started charging by plates ,not by person.I have taken 2 different plate they made a bill of 2 person.Worst and cheating policy I have ever seen.And Buffet quality is even worse not even more than 20 items.Very Sorry to see such an Old hotel having Such a Lucrative policy.

One of the oldest 3 Star hotels in Dhaka when it was East Pakistan. Though it may seem lusterless in comparison to the worldwide renowned hospitality chains that exist now but it was an oasis in the mid 1960s.We had a business meeting followed by lunch, so we took buffet for our Indian business associate (100% vegetarianand à la carte Bangladeshi cuisines for us.For traditional Bangladeshi cuisines, I must admit that they are incomparable to any 5 Star propertys restaurants in Bangladesh.The sweet curd (Mishti Doiwas succulent with creamy richness of milk.The service persons were immensely cordial and helpful.

It is one of the oldest hotels of Bangladesh and at its prime it was the grandest. Over time it has lost both her touch of beauty and glamour. My couple of trips there were not too starry, but to attend wedding programs at their halls. The halls are big and spacious. Food was ok. Service needs to be improved a lot. Ample parking space available. Best days to visit are on weekends and holidays.

Their pastry shop is really famous for quality of food. Not only pastry and cakes, sweets and snacks are also available and are very popular in official and personal programs/occasions. Cakes are counted in kgs starting from 1300/kg and so on. They can deliver cakes without any design at min of 2hrs time. Designs may take approximately a day give or take depending on the design.

The rooms, lobby area are quite fine though these seems are not compatible with other concurrent residential restaurants. restaurant services are good but there must be improvement require in their customer services. I cant talk about the room quality, but I tried their restaurant few times for buffet dinner. It was awesome. The wide range of different cuisines and quality of food was really appreciable. Their dessert options were also really good.

The oldest 3 star hotel of Dhaka. Its a historical place also. Many important person was stayes here. Nice location. In side restaurant have good food. Rooms are also nice.

I cant give review on the rooms, but their pastry shop situated on the ground floor is awesome. Their beef samosa used to be one of the bests in town. The cakes also used to be very good. I dont know about the quality now though. But one thing I can say for sure is they make the best balushahi in town. If you are in the surrounding area and have crave for a sweet-tooth then you must try this. Make sure you buy the fresh ones to get the best taste.

2 Hour drive from the Dhaka international airport. Located in the center of the city. There are variety of rooms. The cheap ones are not up to standards and not very clean. The view from the hotel is not very attractive either. Good dining but many things to improve.
