Hotel Pickwick Luzern in Luzern

Das Hotel ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Die reale Bewertung wäre 4,5. Da aber die Zimmer keine Klimaanlage haben und die Betten recht schmal ausfallen, gibt es einen Stern Abzug.Trotz dessen, dass ein Pub unter den Zimmern ist, ist die Lautstärke vollkommen ok. Der Ausblick aus den Zimmern zur Vorderseite ist fantastisch. Ein empfehlenswertes Hotel.

The pub downstairs feels like stepping straight into a local British sports pub - complete with a football match and fans with a pint in hand! Friendly staff who speak English, and an amazing view to wake up to!

Excellent hotel! Everything from perfect location to super clean rooms and helpful staff was amazing. It was our first day in Switzerland and after traveling for 26 hrs when we checked in we were amazed by the view from our hotel room, the famous Kapellbruke bridge was bang opposite to our balcony. We booked a comfort room with river view for two nights but after one night we decided to extend our stay for 3 more nights cancelling our booking in interlaken. The hotel which has a happening pub on the ground floor and reception on the first floor is just about 5 minutes walk from Luzern railway station, we used to take train almost every day to explore Switzerland and this hotel was like our home in Luzern. Lovely place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Pickwick in Luzern - the room was efficient, clean, and had a nice little balcony overlooking the river and famous historic bridge. The 24/7 rear entrance was great for access, and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to show me how to gain access using the key. Great location 5 mins from train station. One thing to keep in mind if you book on a weekend, the bar can be a little noisy downstairs until closing.

Leuk hotel vlak bij station aan waterkant in een straat volop gezellige restaurants en terrassen. Onze kamer met balkonnetje dat uitkijkt over het water, prachtig uitzicht!

This place was amazing and right on the water at the famous wooden Bridge. Parking is at the bahnhoff and easy r minute walk to the hotel. Easy and gorgeous walk across the bridge. Thd restaurant and bar is amazing, the staff is quick and friendly as well as the food is delicious. Fish and chips were amazing and outdoor dining on the water. This hotel is in a perfect location in the heart of everything and walking distance to all the beautiful sights.

Liked · If you want to stay in the old centre of this beautiful city with the atmosphere, the style and everything that goes with it, you are at the best place to be.Disliked · Since I was travelling by motorbike, I needed a parking spot. The space around the hotel is car and motorbike free zone so I had to park across the river. Its not far, 3 minutes walking, but it was not optimal in my case

Room was good. View was excellent. Service especially from the busy bar staff downstairs was poor. It took us 3 days before we managed to find the laundry on our floor. No sign on the door and only a "on the third floor" answer from the staff. Turned out to be behind a door that looked like one if the guest rooms. A little expensive considering the service.

The best hotel in luzern

Pure European hotel. Love it. Best part, the bottom floor is a British Pub. Fantastic food. Rooms are small but have all the amenities. Beautiful views of Lake Lucerne. Walking distance to everything! Can not wait to return!

Simple, nice and good location. Just the way I like it in Switzerland. The noise below fron the bar did not bother me too much. I liked the idea that the hotel has 2 entrances one from the bar and another behind the hotel. Nice view from the window. On the flip side the hotel room given to us was small and 2 single beds were arranged on vertical manner (leg facing leginstead of side by side. Though it did not bother us too much.

Comfy room and nice view but thats it.We missed our train from Paris to Swiss due to heavy traffic in Paris (holiday/Nov 2so instead of arriving 11pm at the hotel we arrived 5 in the morning. No one was attending at the doorbell so I called their number and were told to wait until morning bec. they dont have anyone at those hours. Note, it was cold and I was with my family with 2 kids. The lady at the phone said "who checks in at 5 in the morning??" How rude.Also, we got kicked out of the pub on our 2nd night. It was around 11pm and bartender told they are closing early bec there are no other guests at the pub. Just like that, they cleared our table and told us we have to go. I told the bartender if we can just leave our drinks at the table once we are done but no, we have to go. So we finished our drinks at the laundy room bec kids at already asleep. Note that the pub is just at the ground floor of the hotel.I also find the structure/layout of the floor confusing. Its like a maze. Although properly marked which door goes where, I believe this is a risk in case of emergency bec some access doors cant be open without the token.If i may suggest, theres a hotel beside this place and I found the rate cheaper. Same view I assume. I think its hotel de alps. We found out about their rates bec we stayed there for breakfast until we are able to check-in in our room at 9am. At least they accomodated us until hotel pickwick was open at 9am. Btw, i tried to cancel may reservation at pickwick but was told by the operator that they will have to check on that...at 9 in the morning!Oh well. At least we had a great time in Switzerland

The room is spacious and the view from the room is really breathtaking. The hotel is nearby the pier and train station. It has a small elevator which is helpful. All staffs were great, supportive and thoughtful they made things easy for us. Would love to stay there again.

Really small rooms... Sometimes awkward in design n layout. Expensive for the size and lack of any services or breakfast offered. Its basically an extension of a Pub. Even reception is not available before 12 PM.But location is absolutely spot on. Hotel Rates in hotel are insane anyways. If you have money, go for Schweizerhoff. ;-)

Amazing place

We stayed in a tiny room with an outstanding view. Despite two separate single beds on our honeymoon we lived this room and would return in a second!

Unbelievable location. Right in the middle of Lucerne surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and the little balcony is great. The windows open all the way like doors to enjoy the view.

Super friendly staff. Checked us in after 10pm with no problem and welcomed us with a drink and a smile! Very basic rooms, but well-kempt, clean linens and great views. The pub on the main floor is super cozy and has a great traditional English menu.

This is a great pub but a very (verybasic hotel. Its clean, its tidy, the room gets cleaned every day, but this is not for doing lots of hours of work on a laptop. Good for just parking your stuff and going out to enjoy the most beautiful Luzern.

The location cannot be beat, the view from the window cant be matched, and the service accomodation for the guests is excellent. Although I expected the hosts to have English accents (the hotel is part of a UK and Ireland themed pub and restaurant,the English from the staff was great. Checkout is 11am, but the hotel is happy to hold your luggage securely all the way until 5pm (17:00so guests can enjoy every moment theyre in Luzern. You pay up front at check-in so leaving is extremely simple with a drop-off for the key.

Great central location, amazing views if you have a balcony or Windows. The service is friendly and efficient. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel!

We booked a last minute stay at this hotel and didnt expect much, given that it is in the main tourism area of Lucerne. However, our room was facing the river and we had a splendid view of the famous Kapellerbrücke!

Beautiful view and great location

Was in town by myself and wandered into this pub to watch live music. The bar staff was extremely friendly and fun, and the food was amazing! But like everything else in Switzerland, it was a little spendy. Well worth it, though!

We loved this place. Our first impression was how friendly and laid back the staff was. It made me smile just being here. Great view, great location. They gave me a beer when I checked it. Very clean and modern rooms. I am definitely choosing to stay here if we are in Lucerne again.

English pub, known for whatching sports. That was the place I watch FCZ wining FCB and was the only person celebrating ;)
