Hotel Pension Rösli in Luzern
Description
Terrible experience. Dirty old rooms with duvets that you would not want to sleep under. Spiders everywhere. The building needs a total renovation ASAP
MoreWorst TV in the world. It had a mind of its own. Wifi was marginal and slow. Great central location in Lucerne.
MoreA nice little hotel very close to the city center and the Luzern train station. Cozy little rooms with the most comfortable beds.
MoreNo elevators so one star less for that, otherwise it’s lovely stay for family or friends…rooms are nice and tidy…location is perfect..staff is cordial…All in all it’s a will be back kinda place..and a true value for money…
MoreGreat prices, convenient location.
I booked through Agoda and was forced to cancel my booking due to change of itinerary. I guess there was a glitch or misunderstanding with Agoda and they charged the full amount to my card. Then I immediately called their hotel reception and spoke to MS. PARITA, she took so much effort on finding out why I was charged eventhough I cancelled it ahead of time.I just want to say thank you to her for taking time to investigate what had happened and immediately revert my payment.Thank you again for the great service Ms. Parita. You’re a gem of Roesli Hotel and makes me wanna stay there in the future when we will go to Luzern. Keep it up!
MoreThe hotel left us with a very bad image of Luzern! The room was so small, no services at all except a small water bottle for 5 CHF! The toilet smelled bad. There was no sound isolation, i felt like our neighbors are with us in the room. Sadly it was a very bad experience and does not deserve the prices at all!!
MoreThe room was super-cozy! Friendly staff and perfect location right in the center.
MoreCheap hotel, rooms are small but have bathroom. Everything was clean and proper. Staff was friendly. Its good if you just want to spend one night somewhere.TV in my room didnt work.
MoreSuper small room and bathroom, ugly old interiors. Nothing compared to the pictures in the website.
MoreVery bad check-in experience. The receptionist behaved like a racist!
Guest House is located at a beautiful location in old town, and has proximity to many places by foot. The accommodation although is just ok. You wont feel a problem if staying for a day or two. The room size was fine. Surprisingly a double room has 2 single beds joined, which obviously cannot be treated as a double bed and the staff or owner doesnt even care to reply. The cloak room is chargeable, however for a few hours they are kind to help you.
MoreComfortable dan easy to access
No major complaints as this place was MUCH cheaper than other surrounding places and we were only in Lucerne for one night. The room was small and outdated, but the bed was comfy enough. The hotel is definitely older which can be a plus or minus depending on what your travel style is, but we didnt mind. Light sleepers might have a hard time with how thin the walls are, and the noise of people coming in and out. The location was ideal though and we could easily get anywhere we wanted to go in 5-10 minutes. If youre going to be there for awhile, you may want a hotel with a little more comfort to it but this was perfect for a quick trip.
Morewould be a zero if I could, bugs on beds and on bath linens. stay away.
Small but great for price
Simple rooms, rude staff and there was no breakfast and no elevator.
Ok, in city centre so not very quiet at night. Bit outdated but clean.
Nice place with a few dirty towels but otherwise there is a pool and a bunk bed
Great location! Very basic room. Cleanliness Is a 3. Can hear a lot of street noise. We kept the window shut at night and used a fan. That worked well. Very very small bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Only two electrical outlets in our room. I dont know about the other rooms.
MoreVery friendly staff and a lovely guesthouse. We had a nice bigggg room for all of us. Just love it!
MoreThe staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the hotel is centrally located. We were also given access to the local bus and train as well as discounts to some local attractions.
MorePros:-LocationCons:-Noisy-bad shower and bed
Crampy rooms dim lights.Small tiny shower area. I had horrible time. They dont have even complimentary water bottle. Not even small. They want to sell some third class water bottle for 5 francs. No kettle to heat drinking water in winter. They say hiring charges for kettle is 5 francs. You can opt for this place if you have no other option to stay.Beds are foam beds. I had back ache in two days. As we paid in advance, no option except to stay.
MoreReally good hotel with good facilities especially the swimming pool and jacuzzi....the rooms r well equipped and the hotel has a friendly staff.
MoreCould be better in some aspects such as air conditioning, kitchen supplies or cooking options in general. However, not too much to complain about - a nice room with a daily cleaning service in an excellent location, and for a decent price. The staff were also nice and allowed us to store our luggage as we arrived a few hours before check in.Overall: Recommened if you are planning to see the city and travel throughout the day.
MoreGood at it’s price, well located
Rooms are relatively cheap and functional. On the other hand, there is 0 sound isolation outwards or inwards. Heres some details: check-in is at the other hotel baslertor, there is no AC, tap water is drinkable (duh), there is a sign forbidding picnicking in the room, the safe is more of a lockable drawer. All in all, its functional, but the noise will be a problem for light sleepers.
MoreNice space in well kept hotel/Hostel setting....convenient location....wish they had a breakfast.
MoreCheck in and check out time are less n uneven
Is located at centre near the "kupellbrucke". Nice hotel with pool and Jacuzzi. Will get an upgrade across the road in off season. Charges 10 francs for luggage storage.
MoreNo elevator, and they charge chf10 for luggage storage. Room is big and clean, hair dryer provided but no water boiler.
MoreGreat location, rooms were a bit dated and we got brushed aside at reception when we just wanted to drop our bags off
MoreNo lift..front office people are so rude..as a family we preferred for guest house..but they insulted us ...they think staying in star level hotel people to be respected not us..
MoreBest location and great price. Great for off-peak season as they would let upgrade to their hotel across the road. Rooms are clean and comfortable with working lift. The only downside we found was that the guy receptionist is a bit rude and not accommodating. However, the lady receptionist was good enough to let us leave our luggage for a few hours for free.
MoreGood location and bed room set up had the wash basin separate to the loo
Good hotel in the city center. Unfortunately the employees werent to be seen when needed.
MoreVery nice bathroom! Cozy room, great location. The only thing is that its not allowed to eat inside the room. But overall, its a nice place to stay overnight.
MoreThe Hotel Rosli is basically a youth hostel masquerading as a hotel. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teen girlsstayed 1 night at the Rosli guest house as a stopover on our train trip from Paris to Venice. We had no idea how expensive Lucerne was, so expected a much nicer space for 275 CHF. The location was fantastic, but the room was really bad. It was cramped with 4 single beds in a room that would have been tight fit with a double bed alone. It was also VERY hot, with no air-conditioning and only a single ceiling fan. The carpet was stained, and the sheets had been darned in several spaces. The only window looked out on a small alley used for storage. The beds were fairly comfortable, though, and the pool area at the main hotel down the street was nice. Given how expensive everything else was in Lucerne, 275 CHF is probably what it costs for a budget hotel, but it was a shock compared to the beautiful places we stayed all over Europe for the same price or less.
MoreFound a unique spot for my alone time here love it!
It was nice and what you expect for the price. It was pretty neat the sink was outside the bathroom. Would stay again. Great location.
MoreIts quite difficult to find it but situated at the old town of Lucerne. Close to Chapel bridge
MoreI booked a room through a third application. It was easy however to talk to the owner in order to arrange the arrival. Last floor room really cozy and warm. Comfortable all the beds and the bathroom even if not to spacious. Absolutely worthy for a stay of one or more days.
MoreThe stairway leading to the rooms should have been the first sign that my experience was not going to be a pleasant one. Once we opened the door to room 811 the stench of a sewer backup enveloped us! We figured that the room had been closed up for awhile and commenced with airing it out. Windows open... despite the cold temperatures... overhead fan on. All through the night it seemed fine. We left the windows open a bit for airflow. But the next day upon arrival back at the room....same disgusting toxic Sewer gas. The room was small...dusty...the smell was vile. I have written to the manager to attempt to get a partial refund. I suspect a health inspector would declare that room unrentable.
MoreReally nice hôtel in the heart of the old city of Lucerne! Exactly what you need, suitable for a couple or some friends. The prices are good!
MoreIts a pity this terrible guest house is located at very good place. The reception which is at Balestor hotel smell of smoke. We are a family of 5 (3women 2kids). We had 5 luggage (3big 2mediumand were shocked that the guest house has no lift! The staff offer no help and we had to struggle our stuff through narrow stairways up to top floor! The room we booked was stuffy. We were all suffering from sinus allergies 15mins after staying in the room! And we cant eat in our room! Warning were everywhere in our room to remind us no eating no boiling water! The worst stay I ever had for our trip!
MoreDO NOT BOOK HERE.Our family of 5 booked this hotel for our stay for 3 nights. 3 Days before our check in date my Father In-Law suddenly passed away. My Sister In-Law was in the air flying into Amsterdam and she hopped another flight back home to Arizona to be with family. The airlines were VERY understanding. THIS HOTEL WAS NOT. They made us pay for the three nights IN FULL. AND, theyll be able to rent the room out and get double! SUCH B.S. and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! ILL NEVER RECOMMEND A PLACE THAT DOESNT HONOR LIFE AND DEATH. So disappointed.
MoreHate services. Non smoking room had heavy smoking smell and hotel not doing anything about that. Maybe were asian so the front desk treat us poorly and not helpful at all. After traveling for 5 countries in this month. Here is the worst.
MoreIt was like a guest house. However it was good as low price in this city.
Not bad. But you better bring backpacks as it has no lift for u to move up ur luggage. Staircase only.
