Cta. de Sta. Inés, 9, 18010 Granada, Spain, Granada
This genteel hotel in a converted 16th-century home is a 7-minute walk from Granada Cathedral and 2 km from the Alhambra, a medieval palace complex.Charming rooms with antique-style furnishings feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Most have original architectural details. Refined suites add living areas; some have chandeliers and cathedral ceilings. Several quarters are on multiple levels; others have wood-paneled sunrooms and/or Alhambra views.A breakfast buffet is available for a surcharge. There's also a business center.
Its a 16th century building turned into a hotel, a very challenging task. So, every time the guests from above flushed their toilet or took a bath, the water gushing through the pipes where heared clearly through the walls. On the positive side, the personnel and the location were fantastic.
We are on our honeymoon from Canada and really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were fantastic from the moment we stepped through the front door. We also were very appreciative of the detailed email that was sent to us prior to check in about parking as we had hired a rental car to get to Granada. The staff adding a bit of special flare to our room as well. This hotel was in the perfect location for us to explore Alhambra. Shops, eateries, and entertainment was all within walking distance. I am a celiac so I was very impressed they had options for me in regards to the in-house breakfast. In short, this hotel was perfect for us and we enjoyed staying in a place with such deep history.
Great hotel, friendly staff, great location. Get the top floor for views.
A beautiful old historic building in the Albacin with a view of the Alhambra. Right near a lovely plaza, restaurabts and shopping. The hotel staff are lovely and welcoming and the room very clean, warm and cozy. I booked a room with a double bed and got a suite with 2 bathrooms, enclosed patio and small living room. I would stay here again and again. I already miss it.
Lovely building, friendly staff. Perfect location close to Alhambra.
Really enjoyed our 2-night stay at Palacio de Santa Ines, located in the historic Albaicin district at the foot of Alhambra.Great location, delicious breakfast options, and excellent service from Anna at the front desk!Highly recommend you consider Palacio del Santa Ines for your stay in Granada!
This historic hotel was a delightful find! It is located near the city centro with many restaurants, shops and bars close by. The building is beautiful and has so much personality. Our room was pretty and comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet in their lovely dining room. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful and historic hotel well situated. Review for room 27 on the second floor. Beds firm, as per memory foam, yet comfortable, with various pillows to choose from. There was good shower pressure, though shower was over the small bath. The plumbing, presumably ancient, meant that you could hear water gushing down pipes nearby as if there was a waterfall outside the room walls. Odd and loud. Room furnishings fairly minimal, with a broken drawer in the table, and room not large and somewhat dark, but tea choices and coffee with UHT milk available every day in the room. Adequate, quiet air conditioning. Lifts available to all floors - brightest rooms will be on the third floor, though these may also be the warmest in summer. They will have the best views though, as the rest of the floors are tightly surrounded by other buildings, as is normal in this very old part of Granada. Breakfast provided lovely fresh fruit and a variety of other options, though little in the way of warm food as no hot plate. There was a grill though for toast, and warming churros. Cereal choice was very small, clearly not the main expected requirement. (Much better coffee was available at the Speciality Coffee shop not far way at the edge of the Plaza Nueva - this was a real find as much of Spanish coffee seems bitter to English tastes. The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful indeed.
The location is perfect although you can only reach it by taxi(hotel pay for one wayor walkingThe place is really beautiful at less reception area with authentic frescos from Miquel Angelo disciples ..it s a real gem 💎 of the historyBUT here is the problem..the rooms are small and not really beautiful .. the feeling was not a "homie one " it might just be my feeling but I didnt want to be in the room at all something was not nice there .. although service and cleanliness was perfect
Cosy hotel brilliantly positioned to see the historical city of Granada. The service is excellent and friendly, and the rooms comfortable (with aircon).
We were overall disappointed with our stay and expected more. We found stains and some hair strands in two of the beds, so the sheets had clearly not been changed. There was also an awful odor that filled the room during the night coming from the plumbing. The location was good.
Great location to all the sites and beach. Nice staff and clean rooms! Bed was comfortable as well.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this clean and beautiful hotel. It is a historic building and truly made us feel at home in Granada. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the location could not be beat, and the Hammam Al Andalus they recommended (which is just across the street and around the cornerwas one of the best parts of our two week vacation - unless you have small children with you, do not skip it! And do not skip staying at Hotel Palacio de Santa Ines either.
Rooms are a little dated, but we had a great view of the Alcazaba from our room, and its very close to the historic area for shopping, music and food.
Imagine sleeping where princes lay their head or dined with dukes and duchesses. The Palacio de Santa Ines is a spectacular yet sublte piece of Spanish history that has been lovingly preserved and converted into a stylish hotel with all the modern conveniences and manned by staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. We had a fantastic time and being located in the heart of the old city made it even easier to access the most immersive parts of the this historic town.
Really charming hotel, very kind staff, clean room, nicely located in the center of Granada. We would love to come back some day!
The Palacio de Santa Ines was built 500 years ago. The main lobby alone, is incredible to see, with frescoes that are in beautiful condition and original stone pillars and beams rising up to the open sky light. The staff are the kindest and most helpful one could ever need. The breakfast is generous and served in a beautiful room that is tiled in cheerful blue and white. The rooms are generous with beautiful bedding that will inspire the best sleep. The location is pretty amazing with everything being about a five minute walk away. If you are there over a weekend, it should be noted that the hotel is right next to a dance bar that will be open until 3 am on the Saturday night.Other than that, your stay at the Palacio de Santa Ines will be a special part of your stay in the magical city of Granada.
Very nice hotel. the room was clean and comfortable. The view of Alhambra at night was beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety.
Very nice historic hotel close to the Alhambra, shops, restaurants. The staff is very pleasant and the rooms large; breakfast was good, too. Modern, large bathrooms. Only negative was that my room, which had a window onto the outside, was loud at night due to all night partiers outside, but this is not the hotels fault.
By far the best historic hotel we have ever stayed in. Fantastic location and a very friendly and professional staff. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Granada.
This is our third stay at this wonderful hotel. Small, friendly, beautiful and atmospheric. Ask for rooms with a view of the Alhambra. Although you will have to climb stairs to get there, the views are stunning and rooms spacious and well appointed. The location is perfect- at the heart of all that this lovely city has to offer.
What a beautiful hotel exactly as on the website. The room with the view was really worth the upgrade and my partner loved as it was on his bucket list to visit the Alhambra palace. And the view from our room more than exceeded his expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had exchanged a few emails with the hotel and had quick responses every time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Fabulous, fabulous ,fabulous.
From the moment we arrived at the Palacio de Santa Ines and were warmly welcomed by Aarón through to our checkout when several members of the hotel staff helped us to try to find a sentimental item lost in our room, we had a great experience at this lovely and well situated hotel.
As soon as we arrived we were impressed. The receptionist gave us a lot of information about the area, restaurants, views, and shopping. She also booked our flamenco tickets for us, and added it to the room, so it was extremely efficient! The room was clean and beautiful. The hotel has a lot of history and is incredible to be in. The breakfast is varied and delicious. We were overall very happy with our stay and would happily come again! Thank you so much!
Beautiful hotel with wonderful interior. Friendly and helpful stuff. Little did we know that you could not drive or park the car near the hotel, because it is situated in old town and the streets are really narrow or with steps. So we had to leave our car in a parking house and took a taxi from there and from taxi we carried our luggage like 50 meters stares/steps. If you cant carry your own luggage, maybe this is not a place for you. They have an elevator inside the hotel. The room on the second floor was spacious and old (of courseand with a loft. And at night you could hear all the noises from outside and from inside the hotel. So if you are a light sleeper, maybe you need ear plugs. Locations is really good and walking distance to everything you want to see and visit.
Beautiful nazari building, clean and thoughtfully decorated.Booked a room with views to the Alhambra, and it didnt dissapoint. Very spacious, and every single window overlooked a bit of the monument (even the bathroom)Really nice staff and good breakfast buffet choices.
We stayed here for several nights in November. The location was excellent - in a plaza just off the main road in the Albacin area. Id worry if we were staying here on a weekend - theres a dance club in the same little plaza, but we were here Monday-Wednesday and it was very quiet. Rooms were nice size and comfy. Dont skip the breakfast at the hotel - even Starbucks doesnt open until 8:30 AM, so if you have an early entry to Alhambra there is nowhere else in town for breakfast.
The staff at our hotel in Granada(Hotel Palacio de Santa Ineswere so friendly, helpful and sincerely wanted us to enjoy our stay. When they found that we were unhappy with our view(the building across the street had scaffolding and sheeting that nearly came up to our balcony), they immediately asked us if we wanted to change rooms. They also left us a fruit basket. It was Christmas time and we had a little present on their tree. The location in Granada is perfect-close to the town center, an easy walk to the Alhambra and at the base of the old town. It is a lovely old building. But the best part was the friendly staff and service.
Pro #1: great location. Within minutes you will find yourself right in the middle of everything. 2 minutes walk to the New Square, less than 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral. And there are tons of good restaurants nearby.Pro #2: charming interior in common areas. The hotel clearly has a long history. So if unique boutique hotel is your cup of tea, you are in the right place.Pro #3: each room has its uniqueness. We were a group of 7 with 4 rooms booked at this place during Xmas. The room on the top floor has the best view of Alhambra. Now onto the cons…Con #1: close to a night club so expect noise at night especially during weekends. Old historical hotel tends not to have good sound proofing.Con #2: washrooms aren’t all that well laid out or designed. In some rooms, the washrooms are renovated but not in all rooms. No fans in the washrooms in general so expect the floor to be wet and slippery after shower (could be dangerous if not careful).Con #3: internet wifi connection is not good. Perhaps coming from the US, we had higher standards but the strength of wifi signal varies a lot even in the room. Don’t expect zoom calls with it.Con #4: no elevators.Overall not a bad place at all. If you can overlook the cons, I still think it is somewhere you could enjoy staying 😉
A nice and basic hotel. The location is superb, right in the middle of the old city centre. Quite and bit hidden between the small streets. Service is good. Breakfast is very basic and will recommend to have one in the city. Hotel is clean ish and well maintained. Was also disappointed with the bed, they tried to create a king bed from two and not connected separate beds.Enjoy :)
Loved loved loved this hotel. But of a faff to get to if you are in Granada with a car. But they have deal with a garage so you can park up and cab it. Only 5 mins. And if you dont have much luggage it is walkable. Charming people. Amazing location for the Albacin and the Alhambra.
The hotel reception area was beautiful...just like the photos but our room No. 19 looked into a run down wall on a very narrow lane with absolutely no view. It was situated extremely close to a night club where people were constantly coming and going into the early hours of the morning. The bed was comfortable but the room was too hot and noisy. The other furniture was shabby But NOT CHIC. Wooden stool in bathroom was dangerous and should not have been there. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. But this hotel was only a palacio because of its history. Location for sightseeing and other amenities was good however it did not come up to the photos on website. It was very enclosed in narrow tight lanes with very little view.
Have a lovely stay at Hotel Palacio de Santa Ines. Location is fantastic right in the center of town. The staff was really friendly and welcoming and the view from room 11 is excellent. Just loved sitting here at night with a drink looking at the lit up Alhambra.
Disappointed - our room had no ventilation, the window was in the stairwell above the front desk, so we heard people going up and down all night, checking in, etc. Our bathroom also had no ventilation, so it got very humid in our room and we needed to use the aircon (when it was already cold). All other reviews were so wonderful, I had higher expectations.
Overall, the hotel could be at a better condition and more attention shall be paid to details and maintenance. The standard room was quite dark and stuffy. definitely not up to my expectations generated from the website and existing reviews. The room with Alhambra views was quite good.
Great little boutique hotel in an excellent location. The upper floor has good views of the Alhambra. Service was very good as well. The rooms are on the smaller side and are ready to be upgraded, but theyre quiet and comfortable and the AC works.
Service is excellent and the staff we interacted with spoke English very well, which was great. . In fact Id rate this hotel 3/5 if not for the service. Location is good. The hotel is nice, it is 500 years old so do not expect a spacious hotel. The hot breakfast wasnt great but we got there at 9 am so maybe the best bits were already gone. We could see one of the Alhambra towers but I wouldnt call it a "view" as such.
We had a great stay at the Hotel Palacio. The place is perfectly located and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and slightly basic in places but classy and everything worked well. Would definitely come back!
Comfortable historic hotel in the historic center district of Granada. Rooms are cozy, clean, and quiet. The hotel is well maintained and nicely decorated. Rooms roomy and beds comfy, shower with good pressure, and wifi good for non-business purposes. Breakfast good with a nice variety. Hotel staff friendly. I would highly recommend and would definitelystay here again..
I cannot stop thinking about how perfect the location of this hotel is. And how cute and friendly it was to stay with them! Albacain is amazing, with little hidden cafes and miradores around every turn. I walked everywhere in 12 minutes or less (and I was on CRUTCHES!). They were super accommodating with my room &bags (again, crutchesand breakfast is PERSONALIZED every morning. They even gave me a bottle of wine! Just a spectacular little weekend adventure. THIS hotel. This is the B&B feels that everyone should be looking for.
While I agree with most of the reviews I do think there is room for improvement and the 4.6 average review I would not agree with. Firstly - not very room has the view of Alhambra and we stayed in one without view. Here is the detailed breakdown:Ambience (3 of 5- it is nice and still a but „old“ and outdated here and there. You can see that in the lobby chairs for instance. I would even make better use of the patio downstairs.Rooms (2 of 5- the Room we were given was outdated. In particular the bathroom and the Interieur was very old school. Due to thin walls we could unfortunately hear a dog on the other room till midnight.Hotel staff (4 of 5- the staff is helpful but not everybody speaks English.Location (4 of 5- really good location with a view of the Alhambra. You are very central! Keep in mind that not very Room has that view though.Cleanness (4 of 5- not much to say here - it is clean and the cleaning staff is very friendly. Even when a dog peed in the lobby cleaning staff was right on it a minute after.(Food no Basis for judgement)
Very good cozy old hotel almost next door to the perfume museum, and i specifically requested a superior room with a view of the Alhambra Castle and got it, service was very good and a nice lady called Nieves in the breakfast room was very helpful with some great local recommendations which turned out to be excellent in fact. Reception very helpful.
Our stay here was outstanding. The staff really go above and beyond to ensure your stay is pleasant. Room was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was generous even with the COVID modifications. We had to leave early on our last day and the staff packed is a "picnic" breakfast to enjoy on the train. Truly thoughtful. My only critique was that the air conditioning was inadequate to keep the room cool at night.
My companion and I booked Palacio de Santa Ines on short notice while traveling through multiple cities of Andalucia region. The hotel team was courteous and helpful and worked through my awful Spanish. The room was as pictured - small, very simple amenities, but very functional and comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the Alhambra from our window. The only downside of the room was that our air conditioner did not work. No matter what we tried by following the instructions and remote, it simply did not work. In July, when its very hot, that wasnt a good sign. The saving grace was the cool night air we got by keeping our window open. Thats uncommon for mid-july, but worked for us.
This is a very unique hotel situated in the old part of Granada. Beautiful views to the Alhambra castle from most rooms. Elevator is a tight spot to be in, but room for 2 persons + suitcases.going there by car is a little complicated, as you have to park a ten minutes walk away from the hotel, but they cover the costs of a taxi from the parking. The rooms are comfortable and lovely decorated/furnished. Clean and nice! Breakfast was adequate considdered the Covid restrictions at the time of our visit.Lots of bars and restaurants close by, so easy to get a meal or/and a drink. We enjoyed our stay!
Nice stay and good location. No lift (although it was shown on the website there was a liftand breakfast was expensive for the limited items available. However, staff at reception (available 24/7were very helpful and friendly and quickly sorted out any issue. Rooms very all individual and a little quirky, and we had a great view of Alhambra. We were also given a complimentary gift in the room, which was lovely.
The hotel is beautiful place to stay, located in a very old part of the city inthe 16 century building, which is very well kept! Our rooms had amazing view, were charming, quiet, very clean & comfortable. The personal is very friendly & helpful. Front desk receptionist Anna wasso nice to spend extra time with us, giving us local information about goodrestaurants & places to see.We had breakfast at the hotel, which was beautifully served, great selectionof items, fresh & tasty!Wed love to be back to Granada & stay at the hotel again.
What really made our stay memorable was the exceptionally good service we received from everyone on the front desk - great recommendations for bars/restaurants, tickets for events were booked for us and they sorted everything when we misplaced our car parking ticket. This was all done with a friendly smile and enthusiasm. The hotels location is very convenient for access to the Alhambra and the rest of the city. Our room was very clean and sufficiently spacious. Breakfast was abundant and of good quality. The hotel suited us as we were looking for a property that had some local charm rather than a chain hotel with uniform style. Thanks again to the front desk team !
We recently had a wonderful stay in the beautiful city of Granada and were pleased to be able to use the Hotel Palacio de Santa Ines as our base. The hotel is well situated in the old part of the city and we had a very good view of the magnificent Alhambra from our large and well appointed room. We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival and were very impressed with the traditional look of the hotel in the reception area and the small courtyard leading to the lift.During our stay we met 3 different receptionists, all very pleasant and very helpful with local knowledge and recommendations. The breakfasts were good, and the complementary afternoon tea and pastries were very much appreciated. Would certainly be happy to recommend and hopefully return one day.
This hotel was amazing, from the staff to the location it was top notch! I highly suggest the Alhambra view rooms for amazing sights and sounds of the city. The breakfast wasnt included and for the price, we opted to go down the street for a patio breakfast with the locals. Beds could use a small upgrade but they were comfortable enough for the 2 nights we were there. Also, theres stairs getting to/from the hotel and getting to your room, so keep that in mind when youre packing! Overall, a great day and would definitely go back again in the future!
