Description
How can you not love a place this rich in history and beauty (well maybe the price). We’re finishing up a 3 night stay and it’s been a lovely experience. The photos really don’t do the property justice. I wish I had been able to see some of the other room layouts, they are decently sized and full of character. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, but it’s a nice spread with options for nearly everyone. Staff have been attentive and helpful. Will definitely miss this place.
MoreA truly beautiful hotel. Id definitely recommend one of the epic rooms overlooking the stunning courtyard. Excellent restaurant (the local caviar was a revelation), exquisite bar and amazing breakfasts.
MoreTo be rated a 5 star hotel, I dont think its meant by a location based system, it is a worldwide rating system. This hotel is best a 3 to 4 star.Upon late arrival, kids were starving, literally, and there was no room service available.Ive traveled all over the world and cant recall any other telling me the kitchen closes at 10pm.The rooms were decent sized and they did change my kids room to another side of the building which offered much more spacious rooms so I guess that is available .Finishing is OK, nothing specialLocation is good with food stores and shopping stores within 3km radius so your options are vast. The service from staff was really good.Doubt Id return to this hotel.
MoreThis is one of the best hotels I have experienced across the Bon Voy Autograph Collection. Juan, the Front Desk team, Restaurant staff (Monica, Carmen, etc.and the Housekeeping team were all outstanding. They made my week long stay an experience to remember in a most excellent way.
MoreGorgeous hotel! The grounds, staff, and decor are all very welcoming! The room my wife and I had was very cozy and even had preserved 14th Century Moorish art on the wall and ceiling! Its small, but incredible to be near so much history.
MoreReally nice hotel with Rindern rooms in buildings that are from the 14tg and 16th century. Attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere I would definitely come back
MoreBeautiful rooms, friendly service, the courtyard is peaceful, breakfast was delicious (nice buffet and you can get eggs), and the location is perfect.
MoreWe loved this hotel. The staff is super friendly and the service was excellent. The location is great and you should not miss the breakfast! Wonderful setting and great food!
MoreStunningly beautiful hotel, with an amazing location, great breakfast, and best of all.. an all-star staff! The hotel room was cozy with a super cool view of the central courtyard.Location is very close to all the cool stuff. It didn’t take me long to walk up to the absolutely stunning Alhambra palace. (be sure to get the palace tour well in advance, like weeks out). The staff here has been very helpful, very responsive, with the breakfast and bar staff being absolutely exceptional in their service. The room was not roomy (to be expected for a building of this age), but was just so so cozy, and utterly beautifully refurbished. The noise was quiet which surprised me given its location and age of the building. The hotel sets the mood just right for the beautiful city of Granada. It’s a landmark in of itself with a top staff that should be kept at all costs.Thank you for making my stay a very pleasant one!
MoreGreat autograph collection hotel but the best part was the staff. All the staff were great and very helpful. Got upgraded as a titanium elite member. Had a good stay.
MoreVery nice 5 star hotel in Granada. Part of the Marriott chain of hotels. Fairly accessible hotel for someone who uses a wheelchair. I did not like the fact that the door in the lobby kept getting locked during the day which I used for access to the street when the hotel knew they had a guest who needed to use the ramp. Excellent breakfast buffet however the dinner in the restaurant was not to our liking and we went outside of the hotel instead.
MoreChecked in today. At 350 a nite, this is not a five star hotel by any means!! We were given a musty, smelly room in the basement of a convent. The "glassless windows" open into a courtyard where anyone passing by can hear your conversation. It is, for all intended purpose, a cave!! I would not even rate this a star. Run dont walk from this hotel!! I dont understand how Marriot bonvoy would contract with this hotel!!!! Thank God we are here only two days. The only nice thing about our stay is the staff.
MoreWe just checked in today (June 19, 2022for a 375+ Euro a night except we were sent to a room in a dungeon right next to the garbage bin area. The room is dark with a strange smell. This hotel is converted from a convent into a hotel. Thus, no matter how hard you try to upgrade/renovate it, those piping and structure could never be retrofitted to a modern hotel unless one is willing to pay big money for such work. They did pay good money for upgrade except they only did a great show and tell for certain key areas, not guest rooms. If you want to have a good hotel, look for a more modern hotel, not a convent conversion. This hotel worth less than one star. Marriott should never associate with this hotel. Marriott, shame on you. A motel could rank higher than this one
MoreThis hotel in located in the centre of the city, it is close to the most important attractions, staff are very nice and friendly, the room is clean and nice. If I had the chance to visit Granada I would pick this hotel again.
MoreWhat is there more to add to this iconic hotel.. everything from accomodation to quality of service is exemplary. This is a must destination when one comes in Granada.I highly recommend staying here, or even just enjoying a nice dinner with live music and Flamenco on a Thursday night.
MoreLocation is great but the hotel is a little bit of a confused mess of old and you. Well it has a lovely courtyard and nice staff, somethings missing and lacking
MoreLoved this hotel - used to be a convent that they converted into a modern hotel front while still keeping the authenticity of the convent in the back. The breakfast was pretty amazing - a HUGE delicious spread. The outdoor patio and old convent was well kept and pretty.Location was fantastic and the service was great. I could see the Alhambra from my room.
MoreRooms and the entire hotel need some renovation.Service is well below of what is expected for a 5 star hotel. Employees have a negative attitude. Breakfast buffet is cleaned 5 min early without notifying guests.Overall a highly unpleasant experience. Would recommend to look at different hotels
MoreThis hotel is in a very central location. Its a beautiful old convent converted into a boutique hotel.Room was spacious, clean and beds were super comfy. My biggest complaint was the configuration of the room. When you walk in, there is straight away a large step down...an ankle twister waiting to happen. Then the very nice bathroom is a larger step down - with no nightlight I almost broke my neck 🫤. We slept the rest of the night with my phone flashlight on in case of a middle of the night visit.Location of the hotel was central to everything. A really nice stay that would be just a bit nicer with some forethought regarding room and safety.
MoreGreat hotel! Historic rooms with the Marriott comfort you expect. Our room had mudejar arches and a view of the very traditional courtyard. Excellent location within safe walking distance of everything. Helpful staff with valet parking. Fantastic food from room service. They even have washcloths, which is unheard of in Spain! Highly recommend.
MoreThe hotel is very charming. However, be aware of the steps in the room, which I think the step is due to the building structure, but still if you want to go to bathroom during the middle of the night, you got be careful. It has garage, which is nice. It is not far from the attraction Alhambra, but it is better to get the taxi to there and walk back. By the way, the hotel cleaning uses very strong scent or perfume, which bother us a little bit.
