Very comfortable and clean! room; had a great stay. The hotel is clean and offers all neccessary amenities - a fun family restaurant is attached as well. Its only a short 10 minutes drive from the airport; when we visited, there was no shuttle service but the hotel called a taxi for us. Our flight out of Goose Bay was canceled and we had to stay and additional day and the hotel was very quick in sorting things out for us - we were able to keep our rooms. Thank you! We also visited the sister hotel, North, and we had dinner in their restaurant as well (Mariners Galleywhich was excellent too!
Comfortable but needs to be updated, yes the decor is outdated, but for a place to sleep it serves the purposeI would recommend
Nice clean spacious rooms.New elevator! On site Restaurant Jungle Jims
All in all, its a very good hotel. All rooms are or were recently remodeled. Comfortable room of adequate size, quiet, clean. Couch and two chairs, medium sized fridge, coffee, large tv with Roku. Restaurant on premises. All in all, better than I anticipated!
Paid for 4 people, could only get 2 towels, 2 glasses, etc. Left for the day and room wasnt cleaned, came back to all the dirty glasses and messy things, dont think they vacuumed either. No ice, no pop, no breakfast of any kind. Not worth the money!
There isnt a working elevator. Watched people dangerously struggle with strollers, suitcases, etc up two flights of narrow stairs. My bag is heavy, nearly killed me getting it up and down to and from my room
The only advantage is that it is close to the airport.Thats it.
Decent place to stay given the location. Friendly staff. Has a restaurant in house which is nice. A little dated however and the bed wasn’t super comfortable.
Loud construction at unGodly hours, run down rooms, no elevator.Jungle Jim restaurant was decent though.
Nice staff decent restaurant rooms are small but adequate
Very helpful and friendly front desk people.
Rooms have a dated feel, and are fairly small.
3rd time writing a different 1 star review for this place, the rooms were to small, the ac barely worked, the beds were very uncomfortable, only reason I ver stay here is because its all that availible
The bathroom in my room was tiny, but the rest of the room was very nice.
As soon as we checked in, the staff decided to clean the floor! So during all the stay we were forced to hear the Noise!
lousy place, rooms are old, bathrooms very cramped and smells like cigarettes all the time
I stayed over for a night and I couldn’t sleep at all because some people and their children were running in the hall and shouting. When I eventually slept at 2am someone came to knock on my door, when I didn’t respond the first time the person came back again I went to open the door and I see this lady that works at the hotel she’s standing in front of another room knocking on their door and I asked her why she knocked on my door in the middle of the night and she totally ignored me. The lamp on the night stand was broken so I couldn’t use it.
Decent hotel wish rooms had more outlets. And more kitchenette options for extended stays. Restaurant in lobby is a perk and staff is very nice.
I enjoyed my stay and the alpaca rugs and other nic nacs
Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are very clean and week kept.
Very proper and clean hotel room and great attached restaurant.
My plane was delayed due to weather conditions so I had to stay in for a night ... nice hotel with a restaurant
Not the best at taking reservations. Asked for two rooms with two dates and wound up with one room. Friendly people, clean. Close to a few pubs, restaurants and stores. Far from the liquor store.
Good staff in the hotel. Jungle Jims downstairs for food and drinks. Its the standard themed eatery. We had a comfortable time there and enjoyed ourselves.
Rooms are small with a funny type of bathroom, but the heating is excellent! ...very important with -24 Celsius outside! The Restaurant offers a nice variety of grilled food! Very tasty!
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, room are clean only thing is the bathroom is small with tolet and tub in one side and the sink on the other side, the tub room is very small and hard to dry off there. Also you must try the jungle Jims here at this hotel, it the best quality and service in all the jungle jims across the province of Newfoundland and labador. They care for what they serve its not slapped together like some other places
The staff are lovely but the sound really travels in this hotel.
Wonderful service both at the hotel and at jungle Jims. Which is conveniently in the building.
Nice place - large room. Clean and the Jungle Jims in the lobby was good
Not many choices in Goose Bay, and not a horrible hotel, just not great either. Dont like the crazy loud air conditioner. Bathroom had been updated and was nice.
Excellent service. Great room. Very clean. Enjoyed my stay.
Ive been travelling to Goose Bay quite often as of late, and I have always been booked to stay within the HN2 . Its a comfortable hotel, rooms have a nice layout featuring, a desk, mini fridge and coffee maker in each room, along with wifi, and satellite tv.But what really stands out is the professional and friendly staff, this includes both the hotel staff in addition to the staff in Jungle Jims restaurant which is located directly in the hotel. The food is very well done and reasonably priced. If your heading to Goose Bay, go ahead and check this place out!
Rooms were great but kicked out at 3 a.m cause the security guard there wanted to close down early, even though we were quiet in a room
They like to charge you with anything they can find. Check out your room closely.
Clean rooms great service. Only complaint would be the shower head. Not bad enought to go complain. Recomended. Stay out of the hotel next door called labrador in.
Have never had any troubles with Hotel North 2 until this year. I made reservations for a workshop that is taking place in the hotel. I got a $171 charge on my card which I thought may have been a damage deposit but I looked into it anyway and it turned out to be a "no show" charge for an earlier date. These were reservations I didnt make and its very hard to get your money back. I still dont know if I will but waiting to hear back from my bank. I have two other friends in which the same thing happened.I am traveling there for the workshop today and the front desk told me I didnt have reservations which I double checked I did. I had to speak to the manager and she said I do have reservations.
Stayed at Hotel North Two for two nights while working for a weekend in Goose Bay. The location was convenient, the room was very comfortable and clean and the service was excellent.
Very pleasant staff and rooms are clean and comfortable
Confortable and clean. The bathroom is small but it does the job. There is a fridge (ice available at the machine), a tv, an ac in the room.
staff seem ok, clean rooms, management is not pleasant.
Basic, but will meet your needs. One of the better spots to stay in HVGB, based on my experience.
Hotel was very accomidating to our situation. Flight delayed overnight in goose bay and they were wonderfuk
Had the pleasure of running into the owners of the hotel during their Christmas party. Would have rathered slept in the parking lot.Traveled to a lot of places over the years and this is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. The wife of the owner was absolutely ignorant.Only for the fact Goose bay doesnt have a lot of options and I already had my room booked I would have changed.Reccomend this place only if you have absolutely no other options
Convenient location for work in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Comfortable, clean rooms. Great internet!
I think there should be a gymnfor guest and a vending machine in the building. Plus make sure the TV remotes work for each room.
Nice rooms, clean, friendly staff. Decent Wi-Fi, only missing a microwave.
Last minute reservation was accommodated, clean top quality rooms good location
First of all, the room was fine, but the only room they claimed to have left was a VIP room. Since you dont have many choices in Goose Bay, and one hotel already claims to be full because of a construction crew that works nearby, we took the room. Pretty much felt like we WERE taken as well, since the bill totaled $270, for one night. Sure, might have avoided that if we reserved, but several sources said there wouldnt be a problem getting a room and I believed them. Regardless, $270 for a room for one night is a ripoff. The only thing that made this a "VIP room" was a kitchenette and jets in the tub (which did not work). For ice, you had to go beg at the bar since the ice machine was broken. The staff just seems overall disinterested and didnt offer to call other hotels in the area for availablility, shes just....... there. Since our US cellphone didnt work in Canada, so to use the room phone, thats an extra charge.Anyway, in the morning, we packed our bags and left with the thought that I just paid almost double that I ever paid for a hotel room.... and without the benefit of seeing an Eiffel Tower or Big Ben out my room window..... We had a dumpster. So I take away one star for service, two more for poor value.
Made my reservations and got my confirmation number. When me and my family arrived, they gave our rooms away. It wasnt easy finding somewhere else to stay, we were in big trouble.
Staff was unfriendly, rooms may have been clean but they certainly are NOT kid friendly! We traveled with a hockey group and they couldnt hardly move! so it is certainly NOT a family hotel, adults only! I will not recommend to anyone and will not stay there againby choice!
