I think it is ok for a short stay, but for a longer one like mine, it is a bit uncomfortable. There is no washing machine and there is no laundry service at all, so you need to go to St. Gallen to a laundry store. Also, I learnt later that I should have gotten a card for public transport but no one gave it to me while I was there.The room has a lot of light and the furniture are new. The location is very good as it is very close to the highway.

Even if I had only for the short stay of 1 night in the New star Hotel in Sankt Gallen, I can really recommend the hotel. Rooms are luxurious and spacious. Furthermore, the receptionist was superfriendly and provided with good help and insights to visit Sankt Gallen. It was a real herzlichen wilkommen.

Unfortunately, this hotel doesnt have any direct email address for a feedback. The link on Booking.com doesnt work. Only telephone number. On the 7th of June I booked a room and then called the receptionist and asked him to confirm that the price appr. 186 EUR (for 2 personsfor one night 8 - 9 of June included the breakfast as it was indicated on the website of Booking.com. It was written in the confirmation list (obtained after the reservation procedure), that the breakfast cost additional 18 EUR per person. The receptionist told me that at this moment it was impossible to cancel the reservation free of charge. Also she said, that the mistake was not the problem of the hotel and advised me to apply to Booking.com. So I had to stay at this hotel as I didnt want to lose money.Finally, I paid 193 EUR for one night (2 personsWITHOUT breakfast.Im very disappointed by the Newstar Hotel. It looks unrespectable, like a simple fraud.

Clean and modern hotel with polite personal. To improve the environment impact especially for short stays you could check if really 3 towels are required.

Wonderful hotel, nice large rooms, elegant bathrooms and a well equipped gym.All amenities in walking distance from kids playland to IKEA and other shopping.

While this is a new clean hotel it has very limited access to shops, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. This would be fine if it werent a nightmare of a city to drive in.

Nice hotel, modern and clean. No air conditioning or fan available in rooms and it was hot during the night. Good breakfast though not typical English breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was very good each morning and the servers were personable and pleasant. The dinner menu was good and the food selected was prepared well. My room was very nice, with clean linens and nice amenities.

One of the best hotels in S. Gallen. Great place, nice and professional people. The staff has the professionality to deal with people with different nationalities.Wifi works great and its free. The restaurant has very good food, and its open late.It is better to have a car as the area is quite far away from the center.
