Hotel Miraflores, Playa Las Flores, El Salvador in Usulutan

Hotel Miraflores overlooks the break at Las Flores which is beautiful. But for me the beauty stopped there. There are 178 stairs down to the beach, BUT you will have to walk the long way on the road during high tide. Dont expect them to clean your room even if you ask or refill your toilet paper (we ran out - shower/bidet time). Be ready to consistently wait an hour for your food (we had 6 people, so you might have better luck by not likely). They forgot my order once, so it turned into an hour and a half. If you surf in the morning, the kitchen doesnt open till 7:30am so dont expect to get breakfast and cold coffee before 8:30am. Food prices seem to be based on the States, about three times (+10% tipthe price of places in El Cuco (should be called El Chuco a dirty dirty little town even by El Salvador standards, Chirilagua is a short drive and much cleaner and less agressive with tourists). Its $4 per day to drink out of the water cooler. Also they rent boards, I saw two long boards, one fish, and maybe eight shortboards, but it is cheaper to rent down at the beach (Rancho Aliciaand you dont have to carry it up and down those stairs or along the long road at high tide. The air conditioning worked and they have hammocks and a pool (but in the 4 days we were there we didnt see them test the water once). If the surf break and your budget is all you care about, then youll have a great time. Otherwise, best of luck to you.

Bastante lindo el lugar tranquilo, en la comida necesita mejorar pero compensa con la tranquilidad del ambiente y las hermosas vistas.

the positive: the view is excellent and the AC works well in rooms, ordering process for food is odd, via cell (they claim due to Covid stillbut works ok most (not allof the time…just super impersonal and behind the rest of the country in terms of servicethe negatives: the food is terrible; tortillas tasted of hand soap, chicken is crazy salty and eggs poorly cooked. Warmest beers I’ve ever had anywhere in Central America. The location is also directly across from a cattle facility so when the wind shifts you can guess how it smells here :( And for $75 plus night it’s pretty fair to expect hot water these days which they do Not provide, the feasible technology has been around quite a while. It’s nice there is a pool but the tiling and finish work is very rough compared to other hotels in El Salvador from our experience. they also use a lot of disposable cups and plastic rather than glass.Would find another option if returning to the area. Do Not recommend for anything other than view.

Not often I give a 5 but here I cant do else than this. Price/value is great. Location outstanding, cleanlyness is very good (although we had a few mosquitos in the room). At 5am there is coffee ready at the lookout terrace. What can I wish more?

El lugar es bonito y pequeño, la califico con 2 estrellas ya que la comida no es muy buena, es simple, tiene mala presentación y el costo de la comida para lo que te dan no vale la pena, pero tiene instalaciónes higiénicas, y vistas hermosas, todo bien hasta que llega la hora de comer.

El lugar es espectacular. Vistas hermosas. Las instalaciones son muy buenas. La comida es muy buena. Les pondría 5 estrellas si su servicio fuera un poco mejor. Necesitan trabajar un poco más en la atención al cliente.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go here if you have tattoos; you’ll be greeted with sub par service followed by rude staff. The price of 1 night does not reflect in the experience you will have. I suggest avoiding the hotel at all cost. The beautiful view is not worth the disrespect I felt while on vacation. After traveling down the bumpiest road you will be greeted by employees that seem dissatisfied with your presence. Please consider tropico inne on playa de cuco side. It’s less fancy but you’ll be treated with respect from first glance.

Nice hotel, service not that good friendly but not efficient , you have to text them via WhatsApp and then long wait time to get just a beer . I can say beautiful view, nice pool .. good food . That’s the 3 stars they get from me

Las instalaciones y la playa super bonito, super recomendado en infraestructura y atencion. En el caso de la comida totalmente lo contrario. Comida impresentable. Un bistec con salsa ketchup, una ensalada cesar sin aderezo y mal hecha. Los precios son aceptables si fuera por comida pasable. Si es un lugar en donde no permiten el ingreso de comida deverian mejorar precisamente ese aspecto.

Just had another lovely vacation at Hotel Miraflores. You cant ask for a more beautiful location. The owner always goes out of her way to accommodate us. Osmil and sweet Franklin who who are part of the staff always help to make the trip more enjoyable. The girls who work in the kitchen and are also housekeepers are sweet and always accommodating as well. Anything we need thet always get it for us.The rooms are clean and comfie beds. Great A/C! Sad to have left. Cant wait to return.

Un sitio muy bonito pero el servicio al cliente es fatal! Todo el día me toco ir hasta la cocina para todo hasta pedir la cuenta...unas muchachas que parece comen alacranes...JAMAS VISITARE ESTE SITIO JAMAS ...Y VOY A COMPARTIR ESTA EXPERIENCIA con todos mis familiares/amigos...peronal super desatento!

Es un hotel muy bonito, con una vista excelente y una buena atención. Las playas abajo son hermosísimas, sin embargo la escalera para acceder a ellas es demasiado empinada y con los escalones muy estrechos, demasiado larga y peligrosa para personas mayores, no recomendable.

Very disappointed when youre not there country you have pay attention for extra charge tht not your but had to be payed also on check out if you leave before 7 am they have to be notice that I was not aware almost lost my flight

La mejor vista de la playa Las Flores, es realmente increíble la belleza de este lugar en conjunto con la playa, es hotel y restaurante, la estadía del día le exigen un consumo de $15 lo cual es un precio promedio, la comida es un 7/10. La playa es realmente bonita para bañarse, si se desplaza hacia la parte pública de la playa hay viajes en lancha que valen $2 por persona

Great place to spend the day at the beach: spending $15/person in food and drinks grants you access to all of the facilites (swimming pool, showers, parking, etc.until 5 pm. However, the staff was very accommodating and we stayed well passed 6:30. We went on a Friday and there were very few other people, so It felt that it was just us at the hotel. We were the only ones at beach between 1 and 4. We went on a Friday so that may explain why

El hotel no es muy grande, básicamente las areas en estas fotos, mas la piscina y unas 6 habitaciones; pero es suficiente para disfrutar de la hermosa playa 🥰🥰 una playa que te robara el corazón! Hay que bajar 190 gradas para llegar hasta la playa, pero es de las mejores playitas en El Salvador, el mar super tranquilo y calmado, la playa es plana. La atención del hotel es super buena, te dan un numero de celular y puedes hacer tus pedidos via WhatsApp, lo cual ayuda a reducir el contacto, en estos dorados tiempos ☺️, fueron muy amables con nosotros, incluso nos ayudaron a comprar mariscos frescos de la zona para llevar. La comida del hotel es muy buena, algunos precios si son altos, pero dentro del rango esperado, y las porciones son grandes. Las habitaciones son cómodas y limpias.

Was here last week, beautiful place, beautiful views, clean rooms. I didnt like the customer service though, no employees presence around the place if you want to get anything you have to go look for someone. Food is sooo bad and expensive. Jimmy was super nice went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Over all ok place to stay.

Clean and spacious rooms with A/C. Great service. Food is of excellent condition. El Cucu Playa is one the best in the Pacific Ocean. The environment protection program is an exemplary in the country. Is my favorite place every time I visit El Salvador.

Lovely place! We would love to come back, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful! Wonderful breakfast and full menu throughout the day, nice access to the beach with surf boards for rent. The pool and hammocks were nice to have to relax in, the town is a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, very exclusive and wonderful view

Ok so this place has an amazing view. The stairs have been repaired and the walk back up them is tough. If you have knee, back or health issues I do not recommend going. Again, the view is breathtaking. The food is lackluster at best. I want to be 100% transparent with my review. We did not have a reservation and we were told if we wanted to use the pool and have access to the beach via the stairs we had to consume at least $15 dollars worth of food per adult. Our kids had to consume $10 worth of food. Our kids were ages ranging from 7,8,9,11. We had a four year old and we didn’t get charged for her. Because we asked to not be charged or we would be charged. The waiter was amicable but the food really wasn’t special. The shrimp cocktail, I kid you not, had a whole onion in it and some sketchy several day old shrimp. That literally was the dish ingredients. We realized we basically were paying for a private entrance onto the beach and a view. It was on our bucket list to visit this talked about beach so it is what it is. Will we visit this hotel again? No. Spend your money elsewhere or if you have to get that scenic view for your drone or a picture for your Tavel blog then go for it. Happy travels.
