Michanti is less of a hotel and more of a home away from home. Pablo and his staff really do an amazing job making this cute boutique hotel feel that way. Location is amazing right in , El Zonte. a super cool beach town with a great wave out back. You are also a short car ride away from some other great breaks including, Punta Roca. I always recommend all my friends to stay here. I hope this was helpful and you enjoy your time with the Michanti family.

love this place. the location is idyllic, a short and serene walk down a palm lined road to 2 incredible surf spots, and vibe onsite is incredible. but most of all, its staff are genuine and engaged, leading you on anything from an adventure in the mountains, secret surf spots, coffee tours, culture insights, the best seafood restaurants, and of course, incredible papusas! Been many times, and plan on going back ASAP! Just be aware theres no hot showers, but in the heat of el salvador that is never been a problem for me!

Best small hotel i have been to .Beautiful well kept property with great food ,exceptional service and an incredibel helpful staff. Location is great for surfers that want to surf lots eat well and chill .El Zonte is not a party place.

Michanti is such a welcoming place and so far my favorite spot in Zonte. It has become a second home for me. From the wonderful staff to the amazing food & fun Taco Tuesdays, it’s a place you shouldn’t miss when visiting El Salvador.

Best food, really easy going spot to relax, close to the beach and surf spots. I mean it has everything a good surf trip needs. Good food, good sleep and waves next to your doorstep.

Beautiful comfortable place with extremely helpfull people around! We stayed 3 nights and the rooms are super comfortable and the food is one of the best in town:Dogs are more than welcome!

The place is very clean and well maintained, the food is also cooked properly (unlike other places that serve food at the beach). Staff is very kind and the overall vibe of the place is very chill. Theres a decent size pool, different areas to sit in and although it is not beach front, the beach is a very short walk away, so you can come and go. The day-pass option is very convenient because you can consume the whole amount towards your bill and the prices of the food are not as expensive as other comparable places around.

The staff, the quality of food, the pool, and the room was great. Take the time to explore outside of the property it will be worth it. People are friendly, and courteous.

I visited with a friend for a one week surf trip. We are both 50 year old women. The hotel was lovely. The atmosphere was very relaxed, welcoming and safe. Most guests were younger but we enjoyed the energy of the public space around the pool and the delicious food! I would definitely go back!My one small critique is that we had to do our own homework to find the surf spots. This is not a surf hotel in terms of renting boards or transporting you to surf breaks but I think they do contract with surf schools/coaches if you ask. Because it felt safer in El Salvador than we expected, we ended up having fun exploring the coastline looking for surf. At first we took taxis and after a few days there we rented a car.From what I witnessed everyone was very sweet to the dog and puppy. (I have not seen the video that created a stir).

Every time I’ve been in El Salvador, I’ve stayed in Michanti. The location is perfect, less than one minute walking to the beach. The rooms are nice and clean. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy michanti’s meals close to the beautiful swimming pool. Pablo, the owner, is very helpful and attentive. He’s helped us all posible ways. If you are reading this, I highly recommend you to stay in michanti as I recommend to all my friends going to El Salvador. Hope to be back soon

My stay here was one of the most incredible experiences i’ve ever had. All of the staff at Michanti are the most friendly and welcoming people i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The owner, Pablo, does an amazing job at running this piece of paradise and is an excellent host. The rumors of him being abusive to dogs are far from true. He treats all of his animals with the most respect and is one of the best dog dads i’ve seen. We love michanti!

Great staff, delicious food, high speed internet, highly recommended!

I have seen Pablo (the ownerin action with his animals. He absolutely loves his pets and gives them the best life he possibly can. When we visited, his dog Chongo was still young, and Pablo insisted on feeding him the best meals, giving him the most love, and training him to protect him from real world threats. He is NOT an animal abuser at any costs. The video that went viral simply shows an owner that had to reprimand his pet for his pets own protection. Grabbing an animal by the back of the neck to assert dominance, and teach them a lesson, is not uncommon and does NOT constitute abuse. Please trust that this hotel is extremely pet friendly and the owner is a wonderful person.

The values of the owners and the way they treat animals its an embarrassment. They claim to be a place of peace and rest but they dont live by their motto. Dont waste your $$ here AND the place is not even beach front. Dont recommend

Best burger in El zonte! Best burger Ive ever had? Possibly! So good. All the food and staff is great. Never stayed here. But I ate here at least once a week while I was in El zonte.

Went there for a drink + lunch. The place is really nice and the food was good. But service is super slow. And Bitcoin NOT accepted (as of November 2021).

One of the best place to stay or just hang out in El Zonte. The rooms are clean and the vibe is chill. They have a really nice pool and a balcony equipped with hammocks to take a nap.The food is high quality and portions are generous. Típico breakfast is recommended☺️The crew is very attentive and welcoming.Cannot see the ocean directly from the hotel, but all the other perks of the place overwhelms that small shortcoming.

I visited Michanti with my family and we had an awesome time! Perfect for surfing, families, and all around good vibes. The attention to detail in the hotel is awesome, the pool is great for kids, and the food is great. Pablo is a great dude and makes sure to go above and beyond to make your stay amazing..

What a beautiful beach getaway, although very short because we only spent a night there on a Saturday, it was perfect in every sense of the word. Pablo, the owner, is outstanding providing hospitality. He picked us up from a nearby hotel and made sure to go over every detail of his place when we arrived. To our surprise he asked for our our names over the phone so his staff could write them on your room’s door. It was such a personable gesture to say the least. His staff were all welcoming providing some of the best smiles along with a cold glass of Lemonade. Even his dog Chongo who is the the most handsome husky I’ve seen makes you feel like family. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. They have a nice pool, hammock haven next to the terrace upstairs and a nice canopy bed on the lawn to relax. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The cook is exceptional!! She was by the far my favorite cook out of all the places I visited in El Salvador. I had the shrimp tacos, shrimp pizza and tipico breakfast during my staff. Every single dish was delicious! The beach was a short 2 minute walk and gave us a sunset to die for. El Zonte was beautiful and Michanti definitely provided a great experience. Thank you Pablo and staff!

Mayra, the one that makes things happen, is amazing! She was so sweet and helpful with food, places, accomodating us with a last minute trip to the airport! Manuel is your go to for breakfast, super nice gentleman! This hotel is perfectly hidden so you can have the right amount of privacy for your getaway! We will MOST definitely be back!

Amazing hotel and the owner Pablo was more than welcoming! The food was unreal. The staff were well trained and every on the ball!5 minute walk from one of the best right break points I have personally ever surfed! We really enjoyed our stay here and cant wait to come back again!

Excellent spot with friendly helpful owner and staff. Rooms are super comfortable and clean. Hammocks to hang in under a lovely traditional palm roof. Nice pool. Food is excellent. A very nice place to hang out and only a couple of minutes to the waves. Internet is fast too.

I spent 8 days at Michanti and had a wonderful experience. Pablo (the ownerwas always around and takes pride of his place. If you come to surf, adventure or just relaxing, he makes sure that you accomplish that. Food was amazing to the point that we barely ate outside Michanti. The staff is respectful and always willing to help. The place is very clean and well maintain and the beach is just a short 2 min walk. I will definitely come back to Pablo’s place.
