Set in the historic city center on a cobblestone street, this upscale hotel in an 18th-century building and former artist workshop is a 9-minute walk from Parque Calderón, and 2 km from Mariscal Lamar Airport.Featuring soundproof windows and carved-wood beds, the elegant rooms offer free Wi-Fi, plus flat-screen TVs, safes and minifridges. Some come with balconies. Apartments add kitchens and living areas.Breakfast and parking are complimentary. There's a refined courtyard restaurant serving local and Italian cuisine, as well as a casual cafe/bar with terrace seating.
Had a great customer experience here. The hotel staff are always giving out their extra mile to assist us. Always greeting you by first names and extra accommodating. Rooms are large enough and comfortable
Excellent service, staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean and rooms are very comfortableVery high recommended..!!!Great choice to explore Cuenca, you wont regret it
I enjoyed my 3 days I stayed in this hotel. A lot of tourists here in Cuenca, Ecuador. This hotel was great. Very clean and staff was helpful. I highly recommend
It is a great hotel, very well located in the City center of Cuenca. It deserves to be a 5 stars Hotel
Beautiful, classic hotel with wonderful staff.
Clean hotel and fairly good location. The breakfast buffet is pretty mediocre. The bed and the pillows were uncomfortable. Biggest problem was that the rooms practically have no sound isolation and you end up hearing everything going on in the hotel, common areas etc.
My wife and I spent a long weekend here. Unfortunately, a mandatory lockdown due to covid went into effect so it turned more into a "staycation." Breakfast was included at any time of our choosing (between 7AM and 11AMand the quality was good. Also, Dinner options were provided (prepared in the hotel kitchen and recommendations for delivery). Great water pressure in the shower! Nicely renovated rooms. Friendly, attentive and English speaking staff. The manager, Henry, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The location is right in the center of Cuenca near markets, the cathedral and plenty of restaurants that have English speaking staff. Keep in mind that Los Balcones only has stairs between their 3 floors. A beautiful quant place to stay if you can manage the stairs. We will definitely stay at Los Balcones again next time we are in Cuenca.
This is a quaint, quiet place. I love the staff here and the water pressure is amazing.
This lovely hotel is located 3 block from town square, is clean, service is extremely kind, they have a secure garage (ideal for daily rentals), the food is well cooked and served. Will return and highly recommend.
A delightful hotel, apparently converted from an old mansion, it retains a certain air of dignity and has been tastefully redecorated. The staff are warm, polite and go to great lengths to make sure one feels welcome and looked after. Breakfast buffet is good, the coffee is tasty and strong. The wonderful cathedral is just a short walk away too so the location is excellent. Would stay here again for sure.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful patio area, love all the plants especially the hanging ones, loved the comical feel. The 1st nite coctailks were lovely, but then went down hill, sadly for me.Highly recommended but not the room above the kicthen, far too noise but they did changed us.
Needs a pool! Staff really friendly.
Shower, bed & room are nice.Balcony doors don’t really close.Breakfast is super simple.Service not special.Midstay cleaning, ehh.. what did they even do? Not much.
Excellent service, it is definitely a place to stay when you visit cuenca-ecuador
Very nice
Affordable, clean and great service. A touch of old Ecuador.
Nice
Great location, clean, great service, affordable.
Beautiful, comfortable hotel in the heart of the old city. Outstanding service.
Very comfortable, charming and unique hotel. They have made it very comfortable despite being a 180 year old converted mansion. The breakfast was delicious, best we had in Ecuador. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The doorbell system is a bit annoying but it does provide a high degree of security. Bathroom was nice with modern shower. Bit of street noise at night in the balcony room but not unexpected. They offered luggage storage for us (twice). Would stay there again! Highly recommend.
Their high rating on TripAdvisor is well deserved! Love this Hotel So Much! Top of the line bedding, linens, room size, furniture. This hotel has so much charm, the staff is very attentive and helpful. Great location about 5 blocks to town square. On site restaurant is very good and the morning breakfasts are outstanding! Were vegan and they went out of their way to cook special for us each morning! We spent 6 nights and will definitely return! A Rare Find for such a reasonable price! Theres several vegan restaurants in Cuenca as well! They also have awesome day trips to book direct! Thanks to all the staff for such a Lovely Stay in Cuenca!
a nice small hotel. There is some noise due to the older floors, but the room was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Ottima doccia, colazione ricca...
Great location, good internet connectivity, great price, basic breakfast (but good). Only problem was that my mattress was too thin and the pillow too.
Very nice, very clean, with great service and location. Friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay.
Good rooms and rates.
Lovely hotel, possibly a bit expensive but really quiet rooms and we had excellent sleeps here. Breakfast was very good with a choice of fruits, juices, breads, meats, cheese and hot options also. Great location, just a few minutes walk from Parque Calderon - to be honest everything is within walking distance front the hotel.
The staff & accommodations are A MA ZING
Nice quite place
Oh my gosh! They had a great breakfast here. Somedays pancakes, somedays waffles and always a wide variety of fruit plus they would have a dessert-like item to try.My room was huge and had the most modern bathroom I have ever seen. In fact I have never seen a shower like they have there. There was a beautiful fresco on my bedroom wall. The staff called me by first name everyday after I checked in. I found that very personable and I found the staff very helpful. The hotel is just a short walk to the main square. I definitely would stay here on a future visit.
Great location, exceptional staff, delicious food!
I absolutely adored this hotel! I just got back from a visit and it was truly wonderful. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The owner Henry and his staff make you truly feel as though your a guest and not just a customer. I also have never seen a place more immaculate and well kept up with. Also do yourself a favor and eat dinner at the hotel... It was some of our favorite food! This hotel has something magical about it and I cant wait for a return visit!
thanksss....very good.......
Very nice, centrally located and good value!
I spent 2 weeks in October of 2012 at Hotel Los Balcones and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hotel is nicely decorated and all the rooms face on to an indoor courtyard. The rooms werent fancy but were neat and clean and the bedding was comfortable. All of the staff was helpful and all spoke at least a little English. The next time I go to Cuenca, I will stay at Hotel Los Balcones.
