Beautiful hotel, nice & professional staff, excellent location!

This is a lovely little hotel, the rooms were nice and very clean, the water hot and the food was great (they have a restaurant and bar downstairsand the staff go out of their way to accommodate you! Everyone was very pleasant and they are extremely helpful with everything. Also it is a very safe and secure hotel (especially if you are a solo female travellerso I would highly recommend it. Great value for money and the breakfast and the airport transfer was included in the price I had - a real bargain!Thank you and I will definitely be back👍

Please do not use your debit or credit card at this hotel. I was there 4m ago for 2days, used my debit card to pay for the room, which is the only time I used,After I came back which is 3m later someone used my card to pay for something twice.I also had a terrible experience at this place.

I always enjoy staying at Hotel Lobelia whenever Im visiting Addis Ababa. Great staff, location and rooms. Definitely the most convenient hotel for your money.

Its a nice budget stay. Clean rooms, 5 min from the airport, theyve got a shuttle bus and good WiFi. No AC, but with the weather in Addis you really dont need one

I booked directly on the hotel website and paid by card. When I arrived, I was told my booking could not be found and showed the booking confirmation and receipt of payment from the hotel’s own email address. I was promised this would be looked into, but no staff actively followed up and instead just kept asking me for payment with no update as to what they’d done to find the booking or payment or what the manager had said in response. I had multiple verification emails which I offered to forward, and the offer was never taken up. I showed screenshots of the payment approval, as well as my own bank statement showing the amount deducted. Every time I would have to show this again, I was promised they would follow up and every time nothing happened. I was forced to pay in full again in order to make my flight on time, despite showing proof the payment had already been made. Both from the hotel’s own confirmation system and from my bank. I will now have to report one of the payments as fraudulent and hope that my bank refunds me. In addition, the hotel was extremely noisy from a very loud music venue which made it impossible to sleep each night. My toilet also leaked all over the bathroom floor constantly and the shower pressure was non-existent. Breakfast was included but was so awful I preferred to eat down the road. The bed squeaked horribly every time I turned in my sleep. I have been with lobelia a few times. The reason I frequent them is the good service, and elevator for a reasonable price. This time the driver waited at the airport at least 2 hrs In The middle of the night with no complaints even with our many check bags.

More than definitely is not a 4 star place, looks very not cared much about. The ladies at the reception are not helpful at all. Much better places to go at less than 200 meters.

Lovely experience, reception staff were so helpfull. Great cupuchinos, nice breakfast bufffet. Clean and central close to all shops, malls. Ask for Abe if you need an excellent guide.

The hotel staff decided that they no longer wanted my reservation in their system because they saw I was benefiting from an online discount on booking.com. This is for a long-term stay of 30 nights for $20 a night already confirmed from Booking.com. I received a message from the general manager saying “your rate is too low, we need to increase it, there are technical issues with booking.com so we will need to increase your rate”. How can a hotel contact a customer and say such a thing? It’s not the customer’s fault that you failed to communicate to the travel agencies your correct rates. This is a major inconvenience to the customer and causes undue stress.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and had the most horrible experience.I was staying there with my husband for our honeymoon. I couldn’t believe it when we received a call from the receptionist, informing us that our room has given away to someone else and we needed to leave ASAP. I couldn’t believe the lack of information provided during our booking and the lack of flexibility. The workers was incompetent and unprofessional. We had to leave in a hurry and look for another hotel. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at this hotel. Just horrible!!!!!

Quite a nice hotel close to the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa. Theres a shuttle service to the airport available. Complimentary breakfast too.Only hitch is the unreliable WiFi service especially on the second floor.

Perfect location situated near great markets and restaurants. The staff are incredibly helpful and they provide a shuttle to and from the airport, which is about 10 minutes away. Highly recommend.

Super helpful staff. Safe hotel and good coffee available at the bar. Accommodations are fairly basic, with simple deco. There is a lift if you don’t like climbing stairs. There is no room A/C or fans, so it did get a little warm in the room.

Nice staff. Room without AC or fan, so uncomfortable to be in during the hot days. Bathroom was missing part of the door. Breakfast ok, not very varied. Very close to the airport. Nice for long layovers

Would like to give 3.5 stars. Conveniently located very close to airport and restaurants in Bole. First room we stayed in shower was broken (no warm water), and I got sick from the room service pasta.

Great service. Would. Consider it a business trip kind of accommodation place. The staff are great and willing to help anytime. The location is a few minutes to the airport and also withing the vicinity of malls and other attractions. I enjoyed my stay there.
