Hotel Le Voyageur in Mangai

After a change in management a few years ago, the hotel was renamed Hotel Elais. There are different standards of rooms available from old with noisy a/c to very recent.

Stayed here on business. Comfortable and good accommodation. One of the better facilities in Kinshasa.

Very relaxing, specially the swimming pool with its Olympic size

- Internet very slow but at least existing!!- Rooms depend if you are lucky or not.. My first time was OK, except the mold in the bathroom, second time I had to change the room due to several problems never solved and in the end a big water leakage in the bathroom obliged me to change the room.- Restaurant, its better you take a day off if you to have something to eat... Very long waiting, some times they take wrong orders and they make wrong bills... Watch out on the prices because English menu has a different price than the French menu and anyway they are charging more then the menu prices...due to dollar rate (they say....even if you pay with the local currency.- Reception, also here its better if you take a day off if you want to get your invoice printed...or maybe for this you need at least two days.... Unbelievable.... Make sure you ask the invoice at least one day before because they will make some mistake and they are not able to print again.

Bagni vecchi, supporto doccia rotto, boiler che non scalda abbastanza lacqua per i sanitari, condizionatore rumorosissimo in camera da letto, internet lentissimo che continua a disconnettersi. Per avere quello che hai ordinato a cena al tavolo potresti aspettare almeno unora e ti portano pure un piatto sbagliato o cucinato male come pollo non cotto bene. Poi il tutto va a peggiorare dopo quando chiedi la fattura e te la portano con aggiunte cose non ordinate o con prezzi differenti rispetto al menu. In reception sembrano non capire le problematiche che hai e se chiedi la fattura, devi portarti aventi almeno 2 giorni e comunque potrebbe non essere pronta. Per 150 dollari a notte cena esclusa è un furto.

A nice hotel in Kinshasa with reasonable prices. There are small rooms and larger suites. A wonderful pool is absolutely a plus. There is a small gym.

Superb green location, excellent service.

Jardin, avec grande piscine. Très bon petit dejeuner. Les villas sont spacieuses. Au resto attention avec la decion. Ils aiment modifier les prix

Large, walled complex is an oasis from the chaos of Kinshasa s Gombe district. 2 restaurants offer guests a variety of European and local dishes.B breakfast buffet available, with breads, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, pancakes, and a variety of meats. Large, well maintained pool with high dive to escape the heat. Guest rooms include kitchenette, full bath and separate living room. Reliable, relatively speedy internet. Did not use the gym, but it is well equipped and clean.Will stay again if I return to Kinshasa.
