Hotel Las Caobas in Benemerita de San Cristobal

The only thing good about this Hotel was the staff; Everything else was horrible! Broken room door, cracked tiles, cockroaches everywhere, mold and rust in the bathroom, no hot water, breakfast was mediocre at best, super loud Casino/Club 10 feet away from Hotel.

There is bugs in the rooms. There is barely service.

Some of the service providers would benefit from a better attitude to understand that a customer is the person paying their salary.

I was here for two nights and there was cockroaches on the bed not ones but twice and they also have the baby cockroach walking on wall that’s nasty..the coworkers was great the food was good..but they need to inspection it….

I was so afraid this hotel got Bedbugs, because the beds have water traps on each leg! Just seeing and looking at it, got me disgusted! They charged us almost 100 dollars for each room, very nasty bathrooms, pool was broken, but the workers are excellent! Not planning to go back, that’s for sure.

At 20 minute walk from city centre this hotel is a fine place to stay. Rooms are good, shower is good and warm and bed sleeps perfect. There is a restaurant to eat and breakfast is simple, but good. Staff is willing to help with everything.

One of my favorite places to stay, very clean and friendly. I gave 4 stars because sometimes at night gets ittle bit too crowded and laud because the club stay open late and the crown stays over night at the hotel.

Best hotel in San Francisco de Macoris, hands down. Everything works, including the T.V.This is not ghetto. Quality with a touch of class.

Upgraded EXECUTIVE rooms available. New AC, super comfortable king sized and nice size.

This place definitely needs some updating. Everything looks like its a process and a works in progress. Some rooms need repair and others look like its complete. The club is decent if youre into smoking hooka and drinking. Definitely not a night for dancing. The pool definitely needs a lot of attention and the breakfast needs a little improvement.

Nice staff, pool, tennis court, basketball court and room. Great for the price. Food was good. You can also order food to your room. Bar/lounge behind the property. Stood for two weeks and it was great. Will be coming again.

Best place to stay in the area. Rooms are clean and facilities are in good shape. Just outside the town but not too far. Theres a pool, basketball court, a restaurant, a bar and there is also a lounge bar across the parking lot. Other than that, not many amenities. No complaints. Basic but good.

Staff was great and friendly. Hotel room cost was about $43usd-$63usd. Has a club, casino, restaurant that closes at 6am (open all night). They have a pool, basketball court, tennis court, and a bar. The basket ball court, tennis court, and pool can use an update. The room has A/C. My room didnt have towels, so I called the front desk and in less than 2 minutes the warm towels were delivered. Area around is also nice and looks like some development us underway.

The hotel was nice and clean, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were super friendly, the food was also good. I would definately reccomend to anyone especially for the price.

Excellent for the price. If cheap dont expect much. The food had a mix of Latin cuisine flavors but lack in sides for the dishes and decoration. The rooms were a little bit mediocre with marks on walls doors, old TV and countertops minor details that I didnt concern much when compared to the good time spent and the price.

I had to ask to exchange my room, because in the first one they gave me, the electrical panel made a very uncomfortable noise.All rooms have a small fridge that rattles loudly whenever the compressor turns on or off. I had to unplug it to sleep.Breakfast is supposed to start at 07:00; but if you know how it is in the Caribbean...Dinner is until 9:00 pm, but they usually close up earlier than that. And you better get something, because there is nothing close by.Food is acceptable. Service is mediocre.Wifi is intermittent and hardly makes it to the rooms. I could only get a signal standing by the door.Since I couldnt work in my room, I sat by the open air restaurant, where the mosquitoes feasted on me.And even if I didnt need wifi to work, the combo dresser / desk / TV stand isnt very practical (see picture).Bed is comfortable; but I could hear everything that was going on in the adjoining room.Tub is very narrow and the shower curtain is flimsy and sticks on you from the water pressure, making you feel like sudsy burrito.On the 2nd day of my stay, the hand towel and floor towel were taken and not replaced.Ive read other reviews saying that this is the best hotel in town... I shriek at the thought of how the others might be.

You only get 2 towels so dont expect towels for face or feet just a body towel. The breaskfast is so sad. Is like 1 piece of cheese 1 PCs of egg and a small ball of plantain. 1 egg cost 5 pesos 1 slice of cheese 5pesso basically the breakfast is less than $1 dollar (49 pesosand yet charge $50 a night (2,500 pesosand cannot even get decent towels and breakfast. Very overpriced and not very good service. I had to remind them 2 times to clean my room and still forgot to leave me towels.

The only "hotel" of San Francisco. It has improved over the years, its isolated from the noise from the city, but it has its flaws sometimes.
