This a Colonial Spanish style construction type of Hotel located in Granada which ranks on top of the places to visit in Nicaragua if you are vacationing here. This hotel was built in the heart of the city near the walking boulevard, where all the night clubs and best restaurant with street seating is a must because of the warn weather during most of the year, in other words, that boulevard where the fun is. The rooms are midsized facing out to the street or the inner water fountain. Clean. Beds are okay a bit to hard for my back. Air conditioning with a fan used at all times.It reminds me a little to Cuzco Peru or Antigua Guatemala, if you ever went there. Price is on.the high end ..but is worth it...comparing to other higher price hotels.Service can be a little slow on the call.It has 24 security and open during midnight hours, means you can go party or late walk without a problem.

What a beautiful hotel, all the tile flooring and the Spanish hacienda style take the colonial time . Highly recommended!

Hotel La Polvora is in a nice part of town, slightly away but walking distance from the central park. The staff was friendly and the hotel well maintained and clean. The pool area was beautiful and we switched between morning coffee by the pool and in the garden by the fountain. The spacious shower was much appreciated each day, after long, hot tours of Nicaragua.Pro tip: Reserve one of the balcony rooms overlooking the pool.

The staff was very helpful, the rooms are big and comfortable. The pool is great!

My friend and I have stayed in the private cottage in the back of Hotel La Polvora twice now, and both times it has been an absolute pleasure. The house and the hotel itself are clean, wonderfully curated buildings, with beautiful tiles and bright colors throughout. The staff is very friendly and helpful; we felt very welcomed. The complimentary breakfast provided is delicious and fresh. And the owner Liam is great. He is kind and a joy to talk to, not to mention very helpful. During and after our stay, Liam helped us with taxis and gave us the best restaurant recommendations. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Clean, Quiet, Relaxing, and 101% friendly staff.We stayed for 6 days, every day we had breakfast, Gallo pinto, or a fruit bowl, coffee and tea are free, lovely dogs and cats, child friendly and the staff, they are so helpful and friendly. The internet is fine, I got 5MB. They have a kitchen where you can cook or heat your meals and purified drinking water. I love the surroundings, the plans, the little fountain near the dinning area, and all.They offer tours, you can ask the owner or the lady and they will arrange it for you. They have family tours that you can combine to your liking.Dont miss this place!

It is in the outskirts of the town, so you need to walk 10 minutes to the center. But thats about it regarding negatives(if you consider that as negative)Very nice stylish hotel, i.e. rooms, pool, kitchen, etc. The staff is super friendly, it is on a quiet crossroad, good atmosphere, always clean and you get free tasty coffee.And do yourself a favour, eat at least once dinner in the hotel, the dishes are amazing, you wont find much better in town.

A nice place to stay (we enjoyed it so much that we extended pour stay), not in the city center, but close enough.The hotel is really pretty, two patios, wooden floor, big swimming pool, rocking chairs etc. The rooms are spacious and confortable.The crew is really great, they help as much as they can, available all the time.The vibe is really friendly !We definitetly recommend!!

We actually booked the cottage that is connected to the hotel. Its beautiful and offers some privacy and great views via the balcony. Comea with small private pool and patio. Very clean, well stocked and great staff

I recently stayed there for 2 nights in the hotels then had to upgrade to a house and Ian made it all possible. To boot I showed up without reservations and everything went smooth as can be. They have a sister property on the lake too. I highly recommend this place because of the insights offered. Our vacation went off without a glitch thanks to their awesome staff. P.S. eat their British breakfast, its wonderful.

This is one of the finest hotels weve stayed at...anywhere. Liam, Kevin, Hector, and all the other lovely, talented, and professional staff made our stay in Granada absolutely wonderful. We would stay here again and recommend anyone going to Granada to stay at this lovely boutique hotel. All of our excursions were organized by the hotel and we had STAR treatment the whole time.

Recently I was at Hotel La Polvora, in Granada. My every request was greeted with positive energy and promptly. ( I have been told I am not easy to please!)In no time at all I felt that the staff was there to please me, and I also was making real friendships.. from Kevin at the reception desk to meeting and spending time with Liam, the most hospitable owner.

The hotel is beautiful and a nice place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The AC in the room and the pool were a blessing! Liam and his staff are very friendly and hospitable. They were helpful in making recommendations for places to eat and things to do. There is also a tile making business in the back of the hotel which they were willing to give a demonstration of and let me make one to take home as a souvenir. The hotel is located a little towards the outside of town making it about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center but being towards the outside also made it easier to drive in and out to different excursions.

This experience was absolutely amazing. The staff offer the best experience you will get in a boutique Hotel. I cant explain how much I was impressed by the service and friendliness they offer. The hotel offers a nice pool, a huge well equipped kitchen and wonderful clean rooms. Special shutout to Salvador who was in charge during our stay. If youre lucky enough to have him check you in you will experience the same service we were lucky enough to receive.

Delightful in every way; highly recommended!

Really beautiful hotel with colorful cement tile, wonderful pool and courtyard surrounded by fruit trees. Rooms are cool and cozy with AC and fans and biggest bathroom I have seen in Nicaragua. It is a bit of a hike to get to the main part of town but with pool, food available and honor bar here, staying home after a long day sightseeing is just what I need.

Awesome hotel!! Friendly staff, great food and absolutely awesome for the kids. The pool was a hit on the hot days and we felt totally safe here. Definitely check it out if you are ever in Granada, Nicaragua.

An absolute oasis. Clean, safe with an incredibly friendly staff and owner, this was a great find. Breakfast was amazing and it was very close to the town square. Absolutely gorgeous property.

Awesome place for a stay with good friendly service. Breakfast included sucks.. $5 extra got me a Nicaraguan semi style dish as it was missing cheese... You cant claim a Nicaragua style dish for extra cash with out nica cheese with the gallopinto.. Come on lol good relaxing place cant complain other that I pay extra for breakfast as the one included and pay for was Mainly fruits..

Delightful boutique hotel in Granada. The style is minimalist chic with beautiful dark hardwoods and handmade tile details. Its situated just outside the hustle of downtown, with an easy 5 minute walk to everything, which allowed us to relax at the end of the day, away from the crowds and sounds. The staff were incredible. Every single employee was gentle, kind and helpful. We were particularly impressed with the people. The proprietor and his crew genuinely care about your trip and that you enjoy their city. They helped us with everything from reservations, recommendations, even helped us to retrieve our lost baggage. Well be back.

Qualité 4/5 lieu de très bonne qualité. Peu dendroit de ce niveau au Nicaragua. À améliorer, un peu disolation phonique et des rideaux un peu plus occultant. Petit déjeuner continental un peu light à mon goût. mériterait un cran au dessus avec vu de la qualité de létablissement. lensemble est quand même top avec une belle piscine, des chambres spacieuses et des salles de bains modernes avec bon goût et eau chaude.Service 5/5 présent sans être sur vous.Propreté 5/5 espace public très soigné, chambre très propres et moderne, idem pour la salle de bain

Muy limpio tanto el hotel como las habitaciones , su gente super amables y cocinan muy rico la piscina excelente y el lugar donde esta ubicado el hotel es una zona tranquila y sin bulla!!
