Set among the shops of the town centre, this modern hotel features a log cabin-style exterior and an imposing central atrium with stained glass windows. It's 2 blocks from Highway N2 and a 3-minute walk from The Waterfront Knysna Quays shopping centre.Straightforward rooms feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, plus safes, ceiling fans, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Most add balconies, while some have pull-out sofas.Breakfast and off-street parking are included. The hotel also offers a heated outdoor pool, a sauna and a hot tub, as well as a beauty salon, a bar and conference facilities for 120.
Stayed at hotel for 2 nights. Very friendly staff, clean room & delicious breakfast. Would, however, suggest a small bar fridge & more tv channels. Enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend
Overall best experience in the hotel.
Basic, clean hotel in the centre of Knysna and close to the waterfront. Breakfast is okay. Friendly staff.
Absolutely wonderful staff, comfy bed, and an amazing buffet breakfast - wow!
We were there for 4days. Beautiful hotel. Cozy rooms. Delicious breakfast. Excellent service and friendly staff. Everything was well maintained clean and very neat. Pool jacuzzi and sauna was clean. Will definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.
Had a great night, staff was very accommodating and helpful
As stunningly beautiful as ever.. love the place & friendly staff... a must see😊
I had a wonderful stay, friendly staff and very helpful. The breakfast is realy nice and one thing i loved about the establishment was the wood work...definately on my return list. Thanks for a lovely time
Centrally located, which is very convenient for access to shops, waterfront, etc.
Always one of my favorite destinations however disappointed with the breakfast ask for a omelette but was told that the chef cant make a an omelette.
The pictures paints an amazing picture however, the rooms are very outdated and not as expected at all. However, the service received was great and it is a good location.
The worst experience. We made a booking, on our way (30minutes away from the venue they phoned and asked if we want to book for another night and confirmed our booking again. Got there at 17:00 to find out they did not make the booking and that it is a first come first serve basis and that they dont do bookings telephonically. Very bad attitude from the lady working there, extremely rude, no apology or explanation. Poor customer service. She left us at late afternoon in a very difficult predicament with our small children without accommodation. Another couple experienced the same inconvenience at the same time we were at reception. I do not recommend Knysna Log Inn Hotel. Very unprofessional and unreliable.
Very poor service, bookings are canceled without notifying the guest, management not very friendly.
Unfortunately the photos on the website are the best about this. The reception is beautiful but the rooms are outdated and the space afforded to the pool area is very limited.
Comfortable, clean. Good service from staff. Small, but a little older and not as modern as some other accomodation near the Knysna Quays. Small pool area. Upper level passage is a little narrow and rooms are quite close together.
The rooms are nice. Clean and comfortable. Has a nice aircon. It has a nice pool, jacuzi and sauna. Stuff is very nice people. The bad stuff are: Very very bad breakfast, food is smelling. The eggs is smelling. This not 4 star. The toilet shower needs improvement. There is no fridge. Even though it has its problems, I really like the place. If u improve the brealfast it would be perfect. You are wasting food as people are not eating it.
Comfortable room, neat, cleanStrategist in Centre of the town and near form waterfrontThe staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful
Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast included when you book a room. A great pool as well. Only negative is that the jacuzzi was dirty so we were unable to use it and the sauna was not working.
Clean and friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay here. Worth the price
Loved their breakfast buffet and friendly staff.
Its a pity my phone was off so I couldnt take pics. But what I can say is, its a nice place to have a weekend away with your friends. Nice rooms that smell fresh, you can get both sharing and single rooms. And the staff there is very friendly and helpful. Am definitely going there again.
The noise at night was terrible and I really dont understand why its rated a 4 star, the staff is polite though.
First of all the staff was very friendly and helpful, made me feel at home. The rooms are clean and tidy.Breakfast great, and again the staff at the restaurant was friendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend the Knysna Log Inn to everyone if you want to experience professional service.I Will be back.Alistair Jacobs
Most beautifull Log Structure, with perfect location! Stay here regularly the last 10 years, and still love it! Feels like home....
Super stay at affordable rates 150 meters from the waterfront. Other great eating spots in close proximity, and great pub across the street. Breakfast was included in our rates.
It is a stunning place. Friendly, helpfull accommodating staff. Beds are very comfortable. Loved the sauna and jacuzzi. Will recommend it to anyone
Lovely family friendly accommodation in Knysna. Central, its s a walking distance to many local eateries and the waterfront. Not the most modern of hotels but its well maintained and managed with spacious rooms . That staff and owners are very helpful and friendly.Only down is the bedding on the "double" bed being for two single beds and the breakfast that starts at 7am -9am a little early for a holiday.Added plus pool towels at reception and a warm jaccuzi.
Not helpful staff .Deffs not clean at all since i found numerous spiders in the beds after relocating us to another room it still had the same problem .Basic breakfast , no cheese no yougut , very limited variety . Very little food were served . It looks like they were running the kitchen on a BUDGET!! Very little staff . No lifts , it was hard to bring bags up the stairs . Not safe since the gate does not have a motor it remains open the whole day and i did not feel safe sitting at the pool all by myself ! Pics are deceivingI will NOT be returning to this place and it is deffs not a 4 star hotel and more like a 2 star !!!
The hotel is beautiful and lovely facilities and helpful staff. I am giving them 3stars because1. Family room, how can they have 2separate beds for a couple. Worse was that the bedspreads we for singles .They should at least have couples bedding.2.Breakfast was okay but could be better. The waiters we a bit confused, bread was always running out and we had to wait for them to buy more bread. I think a buffet will make things easy. It seems like they were running the kitchen on a very tight budget which is very worrisome and inconvenient for the visitors.
We spent two nights in the hotel, friendly staff, neat & clean rooms and environment, well priced which included a lovely breakfast. This place is well worth a visit, unfortunately, the Knysna CBD has deteriorated rather badly in terms of vagrants and street people.
Would have been nice to have a bar fridge in room with the amount being paid for. Take ceiling fan out as their is a aircon in room and replace with a bar fridge
This hotel really deteriorated from its original state. It was messy, the hottub was not working. The interior of the rooms are old and in need of maintenance. Will not be comming back soon.
Loved the decor and friendly staff. Did very enjoyable pub crawling (were on the other side of 65).
Apart from location which was close to the waterfront the rest of the service were average . Room was ok & spacious but bathrooms a bit dated & they dont refill the toiletries. The breakfast was sad with no eggs to order..most of the bacon & coffee muffins (good stuffwould get over by 8.30am & they didnt bother to refill. We left our inflatable neck pillow at the hotel, & informed the next day, however they denied having seen this.
Great location and a very rustic feel due to the timber used. Correlates well with the history of timber in Knysna. Can improve on their breakfast spread. And maybe provide a refrigerator in the room
Really comfortable stay, nice room size, friendly staff and awesome breakfast offered. My favorite place in Knysna
Nice save hotel beautiful best food close to every thing parking available friendly staff close to waterfront clean helpful love Knysna south Africa beautiful weather what more do you want
Nice place, but all construction is based in wood an very hot inside the building, specially public spaces.Room was enogh good.Breakfast good but limited varieties.Location is nice, close to restaurants and bars.Staff attitude was normal, nothing special.
Cute little hotel in Knysna. Lovely breakfast in the morning, no lunch or dinner served from the hotel but the waterfront is a 5min walk away which is very safe. Rooms are small but cozy. No fridge in rooms... Pool is very small for a 4 star hotel but there is also a hot tube and suana. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and neat. Overall stay was good. Would love to stay closer to the water next time.
A homely hotel. Good breakfast but no Restaurant for dinner but there are 3 good restaurants across the road. No need to use a car to get to the Restaurant.
This is what i call peace of mind. I think its the best place to enjoy your days without stress. Its lovely and the staff are very nice to you. I call the place my home.
Had a great time here. Extremely friendly staff who look after you and pamper you. Nice food and very cosy as well.
Bueatiful wooden building. Warm cozy rooms. Excellent staff and management who go out of their way to make your stay a pleasurable one. I will definitely go back again. Thank-you guys.
Its a beautiful old log inn. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast served is delicious. The only draw back for me would be the staff. They seem very indifferent and inconsiderate and even a lil racsit to some extent( I am saying this due an incident we faced. Also the place does not have an elevator and is not an accommodating place for those with disabilities.
Lovely to see you supporting local artist, Mel Elliott - a family favorite artist. The rooms are clean, well-kept and staff are helpful.
Good service and food. Professional friendly staff. Wooden hotel at reasonable prices. Very modern. Swimming pool and shops.
Room and staff were nice. The pool is a joke with only 4 sunbeds around it. But they also have a Jacuzzi and a sauna which make up for the small pool. The location is also pretty good (right in between waterfront and main Street).
Very good ambience. Lovely infra. Very helpful staff. Many options for breakfast but no lunch or dinner is the only down point.
Dont take a room overlooking the main road. Coaches park under your window to collect passengers. Thw noise and diesel fumes can be quite overpowering.Otherwise an ok place.
Loved the ambience! Great rooms with good breakfast options. It is very close to the waterfront which is an added bonus.Had an awesome time!
