A 5-minute walk from the medieval complex of Alhambra, this relaxed hotel is 1 km from the Palace of Charles V, and 3 km from the Royal Chapel of Granada. Aeropuerto Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén is 27 km away. The polished, warmly decorated rooms offer free Wi-Fi, TVs and minifridges. Upgraded rooms add living areas.Amenities include a cafe/bar and a restaurant serving Andalusian cuisine. Breakfast is available.
Ideal location for visiting Alhambra. Walking distance to Albaicin but take a taxi on the way back unless you like an uphill hike!
Wonderful, relaxing stay in Granada.
We are staying at the hotel now. WE ARE SO PLEASED! The location is 10 out of 10 for access to Alahambra because we are just feet away from its entrance. Because it is up on the hill and not down in the main part of town it is very quiet. We are taking the taxi to the big hill from the main part of town so that makes it quite pleasant. It’s June and 90° out today and the AC is doing its job! The room is nice sized and the bathroom with a tub is bigger than mine at home!
Very comfortable beds, big room(we took the junior suite), very good breakfast, great location next to the Alhambra entrance.
40 meters from Alhambra. Lovely friendly staff, excellent breakfasts...Lovely rooms
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (especially Ana on reception who was so helpful and friendly). They recommended lots of restaurants and gave us directions into the city centre. We had a few small problems with the room but they sorted them very quickly and were very accommodating about it
Location next to Alhambra, very convenient parking, nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Great hotel very welcoming opposite the Alhambra Moorsholm Palace
Very friendly and professional staff. Helped us with cheap and tasty pizza delivery. Beds and bathroom were excellent and rooms so spacy.
Great hotel, love the location & the amazing views from the room.Super close to La Alhambra and only a 20 minute walk into the centre, there is also 2 buses that take you to the centre. Large comfortable rooms & extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend.
The receptionist was so lovely, very helpful and spoke perfect english, she was a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is a bit dated and could do with a bit of redecoration or updating, but The area was perfect, yes it was up a hill from the town, but it had the most beautiful forest walk down into the down that took 15 minutes to walk and if you did not feel like walking back up the hill there was a bus which cost 1.40euro so no problem, and stopped just a little bit from the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the place was very clean. our room looked out on a walkway to a viewpoint over the city and was really lovely. Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it. There was tea/coffee and a fridge in the room also. Parking is an issue here, which is a pity, they do a deal with parking across the road which is 18.50 a day, but parking anywhere in Granada is expensive. this hotel is across the road from the entrance to Alhambra, which is extremely convenient and also very nice to look at.
Across from the entrance to the Alhambra! Wonderful, helpful staff.
Good location, easy access to city centre by bus. Very clean and staff very helpful.
Right next to Algambra, very nice staff. The room itself was an experience, we had terrace that looked over the mountains and glimpses of Alhambra. Breakfast was exceptional, buffet style with lots of things to choose from
Great hotel. Biggest bed Ive ever seen. Staff lovely and friendly. Great breakfast 😋
Excellent handling by the staff. Extremely friendly and supportive attitude. Best place to be in Granada. We are happy to be experience this hotel. I will be coming back in future.
Next to Alhambra. Nice helpful staff. I loved my stay.
This stay was not extraordinairy, but it was fine. Calm location, friendly staff, close (nextto Alhambra and a 20 minutes walk from the historical city centre. Clean rooms but ours was not very spacious.
Perfect place for an overnight stay if visiting the alhambra. Great hotel right by the entrance and a short if somewhat steep walk into granada Town centre
WOW! What a surprising bargain for the quality. Multilingual staff was so pleasant and helpful. Wonderful to talk with. Included breakfast buffet was exceptional. Coffee, juice, bread, pastries, eggs, quiche, fresh fruit, veggies, cereal and yogurt. Room far exceeded expectations. It was very clean with great maid service. We had a 4th floor balcony looking toward the hills of the Alhambra with the snow covered Sierra Nevada Mountains. in the distance. Gorgeous with the full moon rising behind the tree lined street. At the end of the hall was a balcony with views to the western sunset and the walls of the Alhambra beautifully lit at night. An olive grove extends behind the hotel accentuating the peaceful isolation from the hustle of the larger city of Granada. Unmatched location for visiting the Alhambra. Closest hotel to the entrance. Bus stop just below us made getting to the city center a breeze. We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport for 41 euros as it is a good distance out of town. Cheaper option is the airport bus into city then local bus to Alhambra but could be a bit confusing first time since you must exit at Granada Cathedral (2nd stop on Gran Via de Colonand walk a block or so to the bus stop at Plaza Isabel La Catolica then take the C30 or C32 to the Alhambra entrance and walk 5 minutes uphill . Hotel was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended !!!
Oh yes. Stayed here many times. Always overwhelmed at the friendly wecome that i receive; like a good friend returning. Lovely rooms& great breakfast buffet-fantastic
It felt like the lap of luxury, I really enjoyed my two nights stay, but the first night my bed was too hard, so swapped with my husband, had a wonderful nights sleep the second night, enjoyed our breakfast on the last day wonderful selection of goodies,
Excellent value for money, well located, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms
Big room very clean good breakfast and very friendly staf.. Just take a walk 5 minute to Al Hambra Palace..
Loved this place, nice rooms..quiet lication just on the door to Alhambra.
I think that this place is really charming. Chamber was spacious, bed was exceptional, the hotel was clean and the staff very kind and helpful. Price is correct if you consider the localization (just across to the Alhambraand the standing of this establishment. The breakfast is a little bit expensive (10euros per personbut great!
Very good 3* hotel. Breakfast was great; a lot of choice and fresh. Specious room with balcony. Near Alhambra and parking. Flushing toilet neighbouring room was loud.
Located across the street from the entrance to the Alhambra and Generalife! Has a decent restaurant and the front desk staff can recommend and book excursions or shows in town for you. The rooms are just okay but you didn’t come to Granada to spend much time in the room anyway. I’ve stayed here twice and I recommend if your visiting the Alhambra. You can walk to town from the hotel or take a €5 - €6 cab ride.
Ideally located. But coffee was bad and they keep only one waiter in each of their 2 restaurants!
Very good hotel only a few meters from Alhambra. The location is the best and the room is big and comfort. There is a kettle, a small refrigerator, all that you need
Great hotel to stay in Granada. Friendly staff and a very convenient location to visit the Alhambra with good connections to city and the Arab quarter by bus and taxi.
It is not clean at all and the Bath smells very bad and is not cleaned well moreover the Receptionist talk always on the phone and she didnt give us any attention until she finished her call when we want some thing important
If you are here for the Alhambra, then you may not get an hotel closer than this. Furthermore the hotel staff may get the tickets for you if you contact them few weeks in advance. In our case we were able to get an expensive guided tour just two days in advance (thanks to the staff because it was worth it).The city center is not close, as you have to walk 20 minutes downhill / uphill to get there. But the entrance of the Alhambra is few meters away, so there are plenty of buses to get you there. Parking is the same as the Alhambras, so prepare to pay 15-20 euros for each day of your stay. The room was large enough and good overall. We did not try the restaurant as it looks like a place to grab tourist with no local food (you have plenty of restaurants in the city)
Really good price/quality hotel, in my opinion one of the best ones in Granada for that price. Just in front of Alhambra main entrance and parking (where you can park the car using a discount that the hotel privides you). The buffet breakfast was just perfect, good variety and flavours. Furthermore, the service and cleanliness were great.
My rating is of the cafeteria. The server was very nice and friendly, but the menu before 7.45 was terribly limited. The jamon y queso sandwich was made with white bread and cheap cheese and ham.
Pros: Very close to Alhambra entrance. If tickets to enter the Alhambra were sold out when you tried to get them, plan to stay here and they might be able to help you get a ticket. Building is quaint and charming in its way; lots of dark wood. Some rooms have small terraces or step-out balconies. Parking is available and relatively easy.Cons: Long walk from main part of city -- at least 15 minutes, and hotel is at top of large hill -- but youll definitely want to walk, because its a 30-minute (expensive!taxi ride. Not very accessible. Bar and restaurant close early so dont expect to get food after 10 pm there or anywhere nearby. Its an old building and its not soundproofed; expect noise from popular bus stop outside and from neighboring rooms and hallway. Inexplicable but consistent beeping sound coming from outside, all night, every night. Housekeepers are loud in the morning; if youre a light sleeper, dont plan to sleep late. Tiny elevator shakes. Bathroom smells of sewage.
I was only here to go to the restaurant, so I wont know about the stay, but the food was... Bland. We had a menu of Spaghetti carbonara, hamburger and profiteroles. The spaghetti lacked taste and overcooked. The hamburger was also bland and cold. And the profiteroles were warm with a watered down chocolate sauce.
One of the best hotels I have checked into. Great location, one hundred meters from the Alhambra palace. Reasonable price. Very clean. What truly stands out is the quality of the concierges. Polite, considerate, extremely professional, with prompt service. We arrived at the hotel very late at night, just one day before the planned visit to the Alhambra palace. Upon hearing our question about how to ascertain tickets for the Alhambra palace, the on-duty concierge regretted that we did not notify them earlier, as they would be able to get for guests tickets one week in advance. But he immediately provided us the vital information that at 12:00am certain amount of tickets for that day would be released online. Afterwards, he quietly guided us to the elevator, waited for the door to open, and pressed the button of our floor. Impressive manners. The same could be said for the on-duty concierge the next day. A hotel highly recommended.
I did not stay at the hotel but had the breakfast buffet. So the review is for the restaurant. The restaurant is very beautiful but the breakfast spread was very ordinary.
Hotel Guadalupe is in the absolutely perfect location for visiting the Alhambra. It is right across the street from it. The staff is extremely helpful. When I contacted them about 5 weeks before our trip, Javier responded quickly and assured me he would be able to get me Alhambra tickets. He got us tickets for 11:30 which was the absolute perfect time to visit. He was very patient with my questions and was very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The WiFi is fast and dependable. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. If I could add only one thing it would be a coffee/tea maker in the room.
The light in the room is little bit weak and the flush of the toilet is really loud, but besides that its a nice hotel with good Staffel.
Stayed for a few days, ideal location, views across to the Alhambra. Nice walk down into the City, useful bus stop right outside for the way back!Very friendly, helpful staff with clean rooms and decent food.
Youre staying here because of the proximity to the Alhambra, so its nice, but not great. The staff is super nice tho and the pricing was good.
Most lovely staff making you feel at home with a smile. Try it off season and you will be delighted. Just a minute from Alhambra.
Good location for visiting the Alhambra. Rooms are great, breakfast is traditional.
Hallo from room 404. Many thanks for a wonderful stay and all the friendly service my daughter and I received. Many thanks to the staff who looked after us so well, would not hesitate to return. Linda Earl and Louise Greenaway.
Its perfectly positioned. Its up on the hill opposite the Alhambra Palace. Its a beautiful area. The breakfast was very limited with a poor variety. Rooms were clean . Our room had a full bathroom but when i enquired about the missing plug for the bath i was told its not in my package. Ive never heard of this before. Secondly we wanted to use the safe and it wouldnt lock. We were told to pay €3.00 a day for the use of the safe. I found that rather cheeky. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice rooms, terrific view and great localization. Bathroom structure could be better and Wi-Fi connection is lackluster.
Hotel facing Alhambra palace and also easy to get city center from there. restaurant cooked very nice dishes. Rooms not so comfortable because of rumors coming from the bathroom and the area that it was facing outside. Window facing a wall, awful view. Overall hotel style definitely old. very kind staff.
excellent quality hotel and services.
