Hotel Greif in Bolzano

The hotel location is excellent. The room was spacious, well equipped and clean. Special thanks to Claudia on the front desk for her excellent local knowledge, helpfulness and efficiency!

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Greif in Bolzano for only one night while on a trip to Italy in honor of our 50th wedding anniversary. The hotel was lovely, and our room was extremely comfortable. Our goal --which we achieved--was to visit the archeological museum to see Otzi, the Iceman. However, there is so much more to see in Bolzano! We wish we had planned a longer visit. The hotel is centrally located, and the front desk personnel are very helpful. Additionally, the breakfast was outstanding!

Wunderbares Hotel, perfekte Lage im Zentrum. Sehr aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal. Zimmer sind erstklassig. Rund um die Uhr liegen Kleinigkeiten (Äpfel, Croissantsaus.Ich würde 6 Sterne geben.

I cannot express in writing how incredible my experience was at Hotel Greif. I staged my Backroads trips out of this hotel and had three separate bookings. They stored luggage for me, gave me an upgraded room at no additional charge and were my home away from home during my recent trip to Italy. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Greif: the staff were so friendly and so helpful start to finish, and the rooms spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Really enjoyed breakfast and also the rooftop bar too. Would definitely stay here again if we are passing through Bolzano at any point. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Fahrräder stehen für Touren in und um Bozen kostenlos bereit.Insgesamt sehr, sehr empfehlenswert!!

Schönes, persönliches Hotel mit perfektem Service. Wir wurden zweimal absolut positiv überrascht: Zum Mittag hatten wir uns im Supermarkt einen Salat gekauft und an der Rezeption nur nach einer Gabel gefragt. Uns wurden dann hochwertige Teller, Besteck und Stoffservietten auf Zimmer gebracht. Das Frühstück ist super.

Das Hotel Greif kann ich nur empfehlen. Neben den überaus freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Mitarbeitern ist das Ambiente toll, die Lage super. Viele liebe Kleinigkeiten machen den Aufenthalt perfekt. Lieben Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We loved our stay in Bolzano at Hotel Greif! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is DELICIOUS! Also in a great location!

I had to cancel due to catching COVID and called to CANCEL my reservations 2 days in advance. They offered only a voucher and not a full refund.

Wir haben eine Nacht im Hotel Greif verbracht. Für ein Hotel direkt im Zentrum sind die Zimmer wirklich sehr geräumig. Außerdem wurde jedes Zimmer von einem Künstler/einer Künstlerin gestaltet. Da gibt es auf jeden Fall einiges zu entdecken. Die Ausstattung der Minibar und die Auswahl an Pflegeprodukten im Bad sind uns sehr positiv aufgefallen. Direkt unter dem Hotel befindet sich eine Tiefgarage, was wir immer zu schätzen wissen.Der Empfang im Hotel war herzlich und, dass man erst um 12.00 Uhr auschecken muss, fanden wir mehr als großzügig. Gerne wieder!

We stayed one Saturday night, travelled as a couple with a 25kg dog. The multi-lingual front desk staff was very friendly and helpful including recommending and reserving dinner for us at a nearby restaurant. The room was very comfortable, overlooking the Piazza and included a separate pet bed and water bowl. Included hotel breakfast was very good and hot items were offered. Hotel bar has a cool layout and bartender Andrea is awesome. The hotel has convenient underground parking and is very close to shopping areas. This was our first visit to Bolzano but it wont be our last and we will certainly return to Hotel Greif.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Grief in June 2022. The hotel is perfectly located and is an easy walk from the train station. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with lovely fresh fruit, eggs made to order, freshly squeezed orange juice, and many other items. Our Deluxe Double room on the top floor of the hotel was spacious, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at the hotel again!

Beste Lage, sehr freundlicher Service an der Rezeption wie auch im Frühstücksraum. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr schön ausgestattet! Mehr wünsche ich mir nicht. Komme sehr gerne wieder.

I ended up staying here whilst in a difficult situation. The room was lovely, and everything worked seamlessly. More importantly for me, the staff were amazing and made things so much easier than they could have been, they are really lovely people. I cannot fault the care and attention to detail.

It was low season - not many people there.Yet it does not have to be like this, that you dont feel welcome.Then they forgot me and the breakfast was closed before time.I didnt hear any "sorry".I had to propose to walk over to Laurin for the brakfast, which worked then.The room was very okay.

As a sole traveller in town for no reason other than to attend the local hospital. The 5 stars are for the wonderful people employed here. Helped me when I needed help. Courteous and smiley. It made my stay.

Weve been to Hotel Greif 5 or 6 times over the past several years, and its always a wonderful experience. From the location in the heart of Bolzano, to the attentive staff, super clean facilities, and the warm smiles there to greet us, we would not think to stay elsewhere. Great hotel! Great Staff!!!

Given the description on the website, we found the property and, especially the breakfast, disappointing. The art and architecture of our room was nothing remarkable. And breakfast, though adequate, was nothing special. In fact, the staff spent more time in the kitchen than attending to guests. Prior to booking, I considered both properties carefully: The Parkhotel Laurin and The Greif. I think I made the wrong choice.

Excellent upscale hotel. Probably best location in Bolzano during the wintertime (we do enjoy the Laurin hotel in the summer). Cheese selection at breakfast was truly amazing. Beautiful marble room, contemporary furniture: your suitcase will disappear !!! Super staff.

Beautiful room w/ thoughtful touches like an umbrella and shopping bag in the room (both of which were really helpful for a rainy Christmas shopping weekend). The staff was helpful and the check-in process was easy. Very dog friendly (they do charge 25 euro as explained on their site for dogsand they even brought up a dog bed, food bowl, and a treat to the room. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety. The hotel was located right next to the Bolzano Christmas market and was only a few minutes walk away from the train station. Overall, I felt like staying there was a treat and would definitely return.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Bolzano. The service was excellent. Everything in our room was working as expected and although the hotel is in the city centre, our room was extremely quite.

Nice hotel in the middle of Bolzano. Spacious, modern rooms and very tastefully decorated. Good breakfast. I have a bad experience with paying for drinks from the hotels Laurin restaurant. At dinner I was offered wine for 4 € but I was charged 7.5 €. Unfortunately, I noticed this at home. Only a few people in our group have noticed this.

Sparking clean, great room overlooking the square, central location, front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was first class.The reason I marked my review down to a 4 is that the air conditioning was turned off and I was really hot at night. The front desk staff said that the only solution was to open the windows but, being onvthe square, it was too noisy.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights. It was perfect! Nice breakfast, clean attractive rooms. The staff were helpful and gracious. This is the nicest hotel in Bolzano. The restaurant at the Laurin served a very delicious three course dinner. Good wine list.

It was first time to stayed here, that hotel staffs are very friendly and everything they know about sight points in the city. Guest room interior is I felt that a incorporated of oriental taste. I had a wonderful time to stayed here.

It was our second stay at this hotel. They left a lovely welcome back message in a room. The staff is continuously helpful, cleanliness and friendliness are the standard at this hotel. The breakfast is beyond expectation with variety of vegetable, fruits, breads, cereals - everything you want. We highly recommend this hotel to people with high expectation.

What fantastic rooms, each one is different and unique

The hotel has very good staff. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel is very centrally located with good parking. The hotel has a very good bar on the 1 st floor terrace with an amazing selection of cocktails. The only draw back was that i had to climb a flt of stairs along my luggage to access the elevator to go to the rooms. Spacious rooms and a very quite air con system.

Amazing hotel with enormous rooms and well equipped bathrooms.The staff were all very good and the manager Monica was exceptional.The breakfast was incredibly good with a large choice of fruits and cereals plus beautiful cakes and breads,fresh eggs and coffee were a treat.Will definitely go back to Bolzano just to stay there and experience the outstanding hospitality.

Love this place..... central @ Walther Place.... very nice

We were treated very well by the young woman at the front desk when we checked in. (I dont remember her name right now!She gave us ideas for dinner, for how to get to the Alpes de Suisi, for lunch on the Alpine plateau, etc. She also told us about the jazz concert in the sister hotel. We took her advice and had great meals, a memorable hike in the Alps, and really enjoyed the jazz concert as well. The breakfast here is outstanding. The bartender, Chris, took good care of us both nights when we stopped in for happy hour. He makes excellent unique cocktails.The room is large with two closets and a separate sitting area from the bedroom. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Its a great hotel in the Bolzano Walther Square. Service is great and attention to detail is in the Italian way. Very nice hotel. My wife and I, we enjoyed it quite much.

Liked much. We did get charged twice (our mistake for not remembering we prepaid). I am sure we can fix. Other than that a great location. This suited us nicely and it was easy to walk about the town and still be close to hotel. Highly recommend

A superb place to stay in central Bolzano. Quiet, clean, great location and exceptional front desk staff.

The Greif is outstanding. Rooms are equipped with a well designed wooden cabinet and desk system that runs the length of the room with a mirrored front closet next to the cabinets. For a hotel that has been here for hundreds of years it is surprisingly modern due to remodeling by Viennese architect, Boris Podrecca.The outdoor terrace bar is cozy and there are tarps that can be dispatched to provide shade and keep the rain away. The breakfast bar is outstanding and coffee and eggs and made when ordered.A notable design plus is that the refrigerator is cleverly placed in a matching cabinet at desk level-not inconveniently on the floor like most places. The contrasting wood floors are lovely, and the rooms are well lit from a number of sources, which you can controlThe bathrooms have everything one needs with marble everywhere.The location on Piazza Walther is a walkable distance from the Bolzano-Bozen train station. The staff is a delight and eager to help. For those with bags: there is an elevator but there are steps to negotiate to get to the elevator la ding in the lobby. Plush terry flip flop slippers and bath robes are provided. Even a room umbrella is provided for the duration of your stay.Will I stay here again: definitely.Should you stay here: certainly.I will ask if I can keep the slippers...

Hated it from the start. Dont come here if youre disabled or have heavy luggage, stairs and steps everywhere make it impossible. Greif by name, grief by nature!
