Hotel Falken Luzern in Luzern

Das Beste an dem Hotel ist noch die Lage. Alles andere: kann man komplett vergessen. Dreckig, kein Service, keine Rezeption, olles Betten, schimmliges Bad. Kurzum: Danke für gar nichts.

Neglected ‘family room’ at a good location. We booked this room because it was supposed to have airco and you need that when you’re in a noisy city centre and therefore need to keep the windows closed in a room where you’re sleeping with four people in the middle of summer. The airco wasn’t there. The top double bed was shaky too so we ended up sleeping on the floor with the windows open. I didn’t sleep. Open electric wires at a wall socket and a lamp. Shower doors didn’t close. Asked for 50% of my money back after the first night so we could try to relocate, which was tefused. So we spent two nights on the floor. Got a 25% refund afterwards. The second star is for that and for the central location. We were glad to leave.

Best for budget stay inside city of Luzern

Cozy hotel and it is located in city and is very near to station and the Chappel bridge . Please note it is not a 24 hours reception hotel so plan accordingly. Daily cleaning, location makes it a worth. Bathroom was too small but again the economics make it a worth stay as we have lakes around to bath😊

Decent and neat place to stay. Friendly receptionist. When there was an issue with the breakfast she solved it for us. Will recommend this place for sure.

Very indifferent and arrogant management. Staff was also not very cooperative. Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from train station and cruiz pier. In the heart of the market. Well appointed rooms. Spacious.

Reception only open at 11:00a.m. You cannot left your baggage in the hotel if you got a morning train to catch up. The staff are not very helpful like even hair dryer are also not available if your room dont have.

A good room with nice inn keeper. anyway, the place is not quiet since there are many night hangout bar/resturant. If you like to stay late at night or lively crowd of people place , this suited you :)

Nice hotel if all you need is a place to sleep. Though the rooms are really small and cramped, its within walking distance to the most gorgeous places in Luzern and the train station. If you plan a stay, make sure to arrive early, the front desk closes and theres are no night check ins.

Falken Luzen is walkable from central station and very close to old city market. Just 2 min walk to the luzern lake from where all city tours take place including gopder trip, mt. titlis tour etc.

One of the worse place I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were really small and cleanliness are at an average level. When we arrived we were told to get an upgrade to an apartment which was about 5 minutes walk from the hotel itself. The apartment looked outdated and not clean. So we asked for a switch and we were given the family room in the hotel, which was slightly better but was far off from the picture they posted on the website.We checked out that night and they were kind enough to give a refund of 60% from the total amount we paid.This hotel is good if you’re backpacking or stuff but not very suitable if you’re staying there long period and expecting a lot from a hotel.

The room was rather small but you get what you pay for. However the smell from the fondue restaurant was strong everywhere and the room was really cold and the heating not working properly. To top it off there are bed bugs. Would NEVER come back

Located in convenient downtown area--parking garage next to impossible to find. Nowhere to unload luggage close to hotel. Our room is clean--small by US standards but not for Europe. Adequate. Main frustration is accessing expensive parking garage--the GPS cant even find it.

Placed right in the thick of action in luzern

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, ITS CHEAP FOR A REASON. The rooms are smaller than a closet. We were 3 adults and seriously the room wasnt even big enough for 1 person. The place is very old and full of mold. 2 of us got sick the next morning from being in there. The rooms are also very dirty. My white shirt accidentally brushed against the wall in the room and it turned brown from the dust.I bring up the point of the room being very small again because I was literally stubbing my toes and hitting my head on the bunk bed again and again because it was super tiny. There was no space to walk around and there was literally no space to put our luggage anywhere. The washrooms seems like they have never been cleaned and there was mold in the standing shower everywhere.The bunk bed was very unstable, seemed like it was gonna collapse any second.Theres no air conditioning in the rooms but there is a standing fan, which when we turned on blew whole bunch of dust onto our beds. I personally experienced hives from sleeping in those beds. Im sure there are bed bugs in there as well.Upon checkout when we brought up the concerns with the front desk staff, they became very defensive and non-apologetic and pretty much ignored what we said. The lady literally said "you saw the pictures online and you shouldve made your decision wisely" and then continued to say "its not my issues". DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, ITS CHEAP FOR A REASON.

Tiny room and cleanliness is really smth needs huge improvement. Good location is the only plus.

Budget hotel as it is, a good place to sleep over as you will be travelling the whole day. And it is only 7-8 mnts walk to the train station!

This places really nails it !!!The cheapest for value hotel stay in lucern !!!If ur looking to catch a place to sleep in lucern this place is not only cheap and affordable but also really comfortable and cozy!!!I Booked the single room with double bed !! It was spacious for such a price !!They have really good service and really nice ppl which will not hesitate to answer any enquires and help u out with ur stay making u feel more comfortable !!They even provide free full day bus and tram pass around the city of lucern as Long as u stay there !!!! So for example if u stay for 3 days u have 3 days free buss and tram pass !!U do not have to Worry spending more on transport !!!! A full day ticket cost u 8-9 Swiss frank !This place is a GREAT PLACE FOR ITS PRICE !!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Good for budget hotel, nice service. But poor wifi.

OK lodging experience for the price, I suppose. 5 female backpackers with a family room containing two bunk beds and a rollaway cot. Not really room to turn in a circle, along with an epic-ly tiny bathroom. However, we did receive a very warm welcome from a female owner who was dining at the restaurant we ate at, which was very kind. (You receive a 15% discount for being a hotel guest.The cheese raclette experience was definitely one to remember. Im giving an extra star than what I should, just for the owner and the restaurant.

Its a very good hotel which is not to far from the train station in luzern and not to far to catch a boat.

Great location as the Hotel is right in the middle of Old Town. The room and bathroom is small but that is typical in Europe. They have an air-conditioner in the room, which is a bit of a novelty and is really useful in the summer as due to global warming (or whatever elsethe summers are a lot hotter than they used to be.

Front desk is not 24/7. Staff showed up an hour late from their posted times. Decently clean and very well priced given the location.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Falken on July, 2016. The room is small for a family of two children but the price is reasonable for the hotel on the central old town.The staffs are helpful and so kind. I made a mistake on my online reservation. Actually, we arrived on Thursday but I booked for Wednesday. The hotel called us at 9:00 PM on Wednesday and accepted changing the date for us. When we arrived, they counted us only one night that we stayed. We are so grateful for this.Thanks a lot Hotel Falken

Poor place to stay

We stayed at the Falken Hotel Lucerne June 2012. We got there much later at night than anticipated and we were concerned that we would not have a place to stay. The staff was already off-duty, but had left our key and room number where we could find it. We were so happy that we would not be sleeping in the car and we were so grateful that they were so considerate.
