I have been travelling to Silchar since 2014 and after 6 years found a very good place to have lunch, Hotel Dhakaiya. This is the best place to have lunch in the entire Silchar.

If you visit silchar pure bengali food you can have here cheap and best but not enough space and services

Its a non veg hotel, serves good quality food, fish dishes are best served specially "ilcha fish" with mustard paste. And not the least boil ilcha fish.

Food quality is medium#good. But manners of stuff and specially manager is very bad and poor . I think he is not normal. I m saying bcz of his abnormal behaviour. He is also not fit for such business where , there are hospitality is the main things.

Great little place. No fuss restaurant. Only thing to compromise is to share tables if you are not four. They serve Bangla food. Mutton and Fish is the dish to try on extra. I had a meal that was stomach full. Costed me Rs.200/- with Mutton on the side.Service is quick and nothing more u can expect.

Food is ok.. rate medium.. but problems with sitting.. they ask you to adjust sitting with other people in same table which is very uncomfortable!!

Worst place to have a lunch... arrogent manager... they wont let you sit for even 5mins once you are done eating... quality of food is also worthless..Total waste of money..

Had dinner with my friends..its a good place for quick food.. varieties of fish curry r available..Ilish paturi  was delicious.Mutton curry was good too.
