Calle Doctor Leopoldo Río de la Loza norte No.6, Centro, 76000 Santiago de Querétaro, Qro., Mexico, Queretaro
Behind a bright, unassuming facade, this modern, trendy boutique hotel in a sleek building with wood beams and floor-to-ceiling windows is a 3-minute walk from dining in Plaza de Armas's historic city square. It's also an 18-minute walk from the Old Train Station.Featuring contemporary Mexican art and furnishings, the chic rooms come with Internet access and smart TVs. Some have sleeping lofts, whirlpool tubs, and/or patios or balconies.Amenities include an outdoor pool, a terrace, and a lounge with city views. A library with a steel and glass ceiling features over 7,000 books.
Quite and niceI have not try the food but the hotel is good for couples and suitable for family with kids.
Super chill place in the middle of the historical center.
Excellent location; almost unbeatable!Walkable to dozens of great restaurants, bars, awesome shopsThe hotel itself is well designed and has a great architectural touch.Really cool pool area in the back and generally good serviceOnly downsides are parking (In the street outsideand they are very dogmatic about check out time.
Not what you expect from the exterior! There’s a surprise at every turn. The entire experience at Hotel Criol is beautiful. I can’t wait to come back to Queretaro just to stay here, again.
Modern and chic hotel located 5mins walk from Plaza de Armas. Hotel comes with pool, a cosy sitting area outdoor and a library. Room is big and nicely deco with all the necessary amenities. Hugh bathroom but shower pressure is small in my opinion. Wifi signal is a bit weak. Lots of great spot for taking pics. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is unbeatable with lots of eateries, shopping and pub within walking distance. Highly recommend for couples.
Amazing design, comfy bed, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, fair prices. Me and my wife can highly recommend this hotel.
Hands down the best in the city. The public spaces inspire me to design my future home in this manner. I will always and only stay here when visiting Querétaro.
I would live here if I could.
The hotel is beautiful design but fails at the most important job of helping people sleep.Pros are: Great design, perfect location in Centro, very nice and professional staffCons are: Horrible sound from the rooms above (at 230AM), dirty bedding and cigarette burns on the decorative pillows. Beds are war too small with cheap sheets. In town for 5 days and we left Hotel Criol after the first night and checked into Hotel Casa Once directly across the street. Hotel Casa Once is 1000 times better at just a bit more per night.
Nice looking hotel located in the center of Queretaro, good for walking around the area. The rooms are just like in the photos.Comfy bed, nice shower and great lightning. But beware it doesn’t have a parking so it might be hard to find a parking spot close by.
The hotel is ok, they have no parking and it as hassle to get luggage off the car because of having to hold traffic. One of the female employees didn’t want to help me when I first arrived because she didn’t THINK I was the one reserving a couple rooms, i felt like it was somewhat classist of her by the was she handled and I will not be returning because of the poor treatment.
Loved its library, super extensive you can find the fight club as well as Mexican law books, we could not enjoy the pool because of the weather but we plan to go back. The hotel is beautiful and the service was great 👍
Very clean. Excellent service. Great Breakfast. My favorite place here.
This place was very clean and the staff were great. I love it.
Great location, a nice atmosphere ,quiet and clean.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the historic district
Very luxurious! The place is well maintained and clean. There is a pool, library and excellent restaurant.
Very cool hotel, great service, great location: walking distance from tourist sites, restaurants, etc
The greatest spot in Downtown
Very modern , nice, clean
Very friendly staff, nice and clean rooms with great atmosphere
The only down part was that pool was not heated like they mentioned on their website.
Simply excellent-and delightful! My family and I travel extensively and this hotel was amazing in so many fronts.Location: right in the center of historic Queretaro , walking distance to UNESCOS world heritage site, churches, and plazas.Hotel rooms: we booked the family room and we were able to comfortably fit 5 people in it and can fit up to 6. The bathrooms were spectacular and very clean. The rooms smelled incredible upon enteringHotel outdoor areas: super elegant, well decorated, super peaceful, and you can beat the views and ambiance of the hotel.Great customer service by the hotel staffAmazing amazing amazing!!
Beautiful, super clean and the service are just awesome. The only thing I would change is the tub shower we had in our room, again it was beautiful but the shower head did not come out far enough from the wall to take an easy comfortable shower in the big tub. All in all I would stay again
I’ve been to a lot of very beautiful hotels but this one has by far been my favorite! The architecture and design of it sO well thought out. Such a relaxing and organized ambiance, wouldn’t change a thing!! :)
Air conditioner did not work in my room. The MOST important feature that I look for in any hotel when traveling through Mexico is a working air conditioner. I set the temperature to 20°C (68°F). Four hours later my thermometer is still reading 29°C (85°F).
Very nice hotel, fair size rooms, clean, nice linings and comfortable areas in the garden. A cossy restaurant for breakfast and well located. Price is fair and have family rooms.
Great small hotel. Very modern, nice decor, very centric. Walking distance to the main square, and downtown. Reasonable rates. Will go back again.
Loved the view of the cathedrals. This hotel is well appointed and breakfast was perfect.
Beautiful boutique hotel with a charming patio. Great location. Tasty breakfast cooked to order. Whats not to like?
If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. It is a great setting in a great location with a very helpful staff. You can walk to great places to eat and live music and theater. The wood work throughout the hotel is amazing.
Staff is very gracious and helpful. Public spaces are amazing! This is my 5th stay here and cant wait for the next!
Awesome ambiance and comfortable facilities, very kind and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. A terrific quite and peaceful place to rest, at a walking distance of the beautiful center of Querétaro. I strongly recommend this hotel as the option to stay in town.
Fantastic small hotel in the Centro district of Queretaro. Beautiful library and cozy heated pool. Modern and very clean.
Pool, library, wifi, tv, etc. Delicious breakfast
An amazing cute, confortable, full of amazing details.
Very nice quiet place
We stayed one night and it is OK. Check in and check out was fast. Staff was helpful. Amazing decoration and environment. It has an amazing two story library with glass floor. There’s a small pool which we didn’t have time to use but looks cosy. We had a double room and unfortunately the floor was dusty and also the bathtub. We didn’t call housekeeping because all of us were tired. Overall OK.
A beautiful hotel, 5 star service and a memorable experience.
Best hotel in the area. Located in the center of the city so everything is walking distance from hotel (5 min)
It is a very small but classy and peaceful place. I love the modern look and tranquil areas. I would definitely come back and stay again.
Every detail of this hotel is designed beautifully! The art is great, the ambiance is great, the architecture and interior design are super cool. And the rooms are very functional! Lastly, the staff is very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!
Fantastic Holtel, I love the interior architecture design, modern look in a historic area. Located in the heart of the city, near to all the city attractions. Excellent service, not too many guests, no noises. Highly recommended
Very nice, design and confortable hotel. Amazing staff and gorgeous breakfast.
Beautiful boutique Hotel right in the middle of Santiago de Querétaro historic city center! Art galleries, restaurants, bars, cafes, Governments Palace, Temples and museums, everything is walking distance from the hotel.Very safe and clean neighborhood!Highly Recommended!#CoutureSpy #CoutureOnly
One of the trendiest and best hotels downtown
I stayed at this hotel one night because they wanted to charge me double to stay another night, if you go here make sure you book all the nights you need ahead of time or the price will change. The room I stayed at was very small and very dark too, you need the lights on at all times. It had a humed feeling I had to turn on the AC to absorb the humidity. The washroom door is crystal clear only separated from the beds by a curtain, I understand its a modern concept but it is a little impractical. The good:The hotel has a nice modern concept, it has a nice library with a glass floor. It has a small pool. The staff is very professional.
Renovated typical mexican building with courtyard hotel in trendy style, with central library and pool at the back garden, price wise this hotel is bargain
The location is great and the decor is lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The washrooms are modern and the whole hotel is very clean. I didnt eat breakfast at the restaurant so I am not able to offer any insight on how the food was. There is no access to ice which was a bit troublesome for us. When we requested ice we got a small bowl, compared to other places we stayed offering large wine buckets. My concerns are about pricing. I looked up the price on an online hotel booking site and saw a great price. We were choosing places based on advertised prices. When we got there I was surprised to find out that the per night price advertised did not include taxes, fees and additional person charges despite searching for 4 people on the booking site. Which meant that the special advertised was basically null and void. What looked like a good deal online turned out to be a very expensive stay. We were told that our reservation included one coffee/tea per person. We ordered two coffees and hot water. When we checked out, they were going to charge us for one of the drinks because only 2 drinks were included. I think the additional person charges should include the complimentary coffee/tea, and I am surprised that they were including a hot water request as a drink. We had arrived from a 3 night stay in an equally lovely hotel in San Miguel de Allende where we booked from the same online hotel booking site without issue, and the price for 3 nights there was the same as one night at Hotel Criol. We left feeling like we had been nickled and dimed which was disappointing. I had read other reviews where the same sort of difficulties were outlined and the responses were that they were working on it, I think they need to work on it some more.I would recommend the hotel if location is the only important feature. It is well situated for walking around the centre of Queratero.
Great little hotel right outside the main square.
