Had a fantastic stay at the Claris service superb!!Only downside we were charged over 5 euros a night each for city tax which is double it should have been?

BEST HOTEL STAY THANKS TO PAULAWe had an Excellent stay at the Claris Hotel and Spa in Barcelona.This is mainly due to the intern Paula at the Concierge Desk and Martha at the Front Desk.Paula treated us like friends.She was always helpful, smiling, courteous and wonderful.She truly made our stay the best.We have stayed at many 5 Star properties and Paula is the best Concierge we have ever had.Claris would do well to hire Paula and make her a leader at the property.Martha was also very helpful in resolving the issue with our room.Martha was also very nice and wonderful to us.Thank you Paula and Martha for taking so good care of us while we were in Barcelona.

Simply one of the nicest, best located hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I would come here again and look forward to it. Great service, lovely rooftop bar and pool, and the Superior Room was terrific.

We had cocktails on the terrace bar, but my €15 Moscow Mule had zero ingredients in common with a real Moscow mule and served in a glass. It didnt even seem a Mojito by mistake. Not sure where the barman learned his trade. Views were not impressive either, so overall "just a bar".

Best 5 star Hotel I have ever been to, they treat you like a 7 star guess

Miserable staff - particularly the reception staff and poor service.This is not a luxury hotel. Decor dull and old fashioned, hotel tired looking and quality just not there.Tried to resolve an issue at the hotel but manager not interested and rude. Her name was Meritxell.Poor management has clearly set the tone for the service received.

Dreadful hotel and just not five star in customer service.Reception manager Meri had an attitude that resisted any support or resolution to the customer. She was blatantly stubborn and a poor example to other staff.The rooms were not five star at all with poor dirty bath grout (room 609and very uncomfortable bed.Breakfast was fair except only the senior waiter would take cooked food orders from myself and ignored my wife which is unacceptable.This type of old fashioned poor service has long since gone.This hotel will have to make vast improvements to its staff (change themto compete going forward.Disappointing and utterly disgraceful.

Poor, poor staff service.Attitude of staff barely resembles mediocre.Customers appear to be an irritant to staff who talk constantly in front of you, never smile and behave atrociously - epitomised by the reception manager Meritxell.Food very mixed, with again, staff just not giving the impression they want to be there.Definitely save your money and go elsewhere as this hotel has lost its game.

Stayed here after HAL cruise. Large spacious room with sofa. Large bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Overall, a nice experience.

On the 6th floor and could hear people moving chairs etc on the 7th floor bar till the early hours. The light in our wardrobe flicked on and off all night. We asked reception to look at it but they did not, kept us awake. Bathroom wasn’t as clean as you’d expect from a 5 star. Hotel is nice but disappointing stay for our honeymoon, we wouldn’t pick to come here again.

Beautiful pool.There was a step up to the bed, for those that have a problem with steps. Everyone was so helpful and with a smile.

The area is supposed to be a safe area in comparison to el gothic barrio, but two nights ago around 11pm, I was attacked by three men who tried to mug me. It occurred two blocks from the hotel. I was able to defend them. They ran away. I reported to the hotel front desk about this incident. They seemed careless and informed me that it is not uncommon to hear the incidents like my case. I asked the female receptionist to help to report to the police. She seemed careless careless on my request. She would tell the manager who would get back to me. I have not heard anything from the manager.From my incident, the area is not absolutely safe. Be careful not to wear jewelry or watch.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Claris. Location was great. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and so quiet and dark at night time. We went to the rooftop pool and the terrace which was well kept and a great place to chill. We hope to come back to this hotel on our next trip to Barcelona :)

Beautiful and well-appointed hotel within walking distance to La Familia Sagrada and just 2 blocks from Pg. de Gracia. First-class service from friendly and professional staff.This hotel has a museum focused on Mexican artifacts which are also design themes for the rooms. The 7th floor has a swimming pool with a restaurant and bar - perfect for relaxing and entertaining!

Very fine hotel. Excellent food for breakfast. The staff are the absolute tip-top—extremely friendly and helpful. Also very knowledgeable about things to do and places to. Got a wonderful restaurant recommendation. Really an excellent place in a great location and they even found a hair salon for my wife. Would definitely stay there again.

Be aware of leaving money in room!Staff stole money out of wallet! Yes I realise money should not have been left on show, however you expect better from a 5* hotel.This ruined our anniversary experience.

Great location. Great rooftop terrace. Very nice lobby.Super clean. Very service oriented.But… our room was loud because of street noise (also at nightand quite small.All in all good hotel to stay in Barcelona. Price is ok.

The Hotel Location is more than perfect, rooms are extremely clean nd organised. everything was excellent. people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful 🙂.

When I booked this hotel I specifically asked for twin beds. We arrived at 12 pm but was told room would not be available until 3 pm which is their check in. They offered to call our cell in case it was available sooner. Went out and didn’t get a call. At 2pm we returned to the hotel and inquired if room was available. Not ready yet. We waited in the lobby and when we saw that people were getting their rooms I asked if ours was ready and was told that they had called but we didn’t answer the phone. Our room was 120. Surprise it had a double bed, not twins. Called down to ask for a change and they said they would check and call me back. Half hour later and no response I went down to reception and asked what was the situation. Told that our room with twin beds wasn’t ready and we had to wait. When asked at what time, maybe at 6 ? No sooner. It’s 5 pm and still waiting.Also room 120 faces a wall, so make sure not to book you on the first floor. The room also has a perfume smell that permeates the whole room. Maybe the cleaning supplies used. Maybe we will get lucky in our next time

A beautiful hotel in the centre of Barcelona.We really liked the location of the hotel, the decorations, the space of the room, the museum and the efficiency and kindness of the staff!The reasons why it is missing a star is mostly the sound insulation of the room. We could hear the street as if we had the window wide open, even though we were on the fifth floor…Also the fitness room is really small and on the roof, so quite warm. I liked the swimming pool, but we couldn’t use it after 8pm apparently because there must be a surveillance, which I didn’t get since we didn’t see any during the day…

This hotel had an excellent location, very nice cocktails on the top floor, a reasonably large room and great service from all the employees. The room was spacious and the decor was really well set. (And we had little statues that were adorable (see picture))It was a real pleasure to be able to go to the shopping street with all of the brands we enjoy in roughly 3’, and walk back from the beach whilst grabbing a waffle in about 30’.The only reason that I didn’t go for five stars is that the street noise was really pronounced. It’s almost as if you are sleeping with an open window (and we were on the filth floor!).

We had a family meal in the terrace restaurant Delicious cocktails to start, fabulous food and wine and the excellent service made a special night perfect!

Visited June 2022. Great location in Barcelona. Front desk was friendly and attentive. We arrived after disembarking from a cruise about 10 in the morning. We were made to wait until 3 which is check-in time. They did hold our suitcases until the room was ready. I believe the stateroom on our cruise was bigger than our hotel room. The bathroom here was bigger then on the ship. Breakfast starts at 7:30 on Sundays until 10:30. Unfortunately, we had to leave the hotel for a flight at 7:30.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the location was incredible. We chose this hotel as it had a great looking pool in the centre of Barcelona and we were not disappointed.The staff were also incredible too and went that extra mile for us.Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Barcelona!

I stayed in a few hotels with similar price points in Barcelona and Madrid this May. Claris was far and away the best and an incredible value. Ill never forget this impeccable stay.

Lovely hotel, brilliant rooms and a really good central location.

The staff was exquisite and very accommodating. We booked a very comfortable loft which was decorated extremely well. The rooftop bar and pool were a great place to relax. The location is close to everything you would want to go see in Barcelona.

This hotel has the best service! I enjoyed every bit of it! Valet, very helpful front desk, and super amazing rooms! We had the junior suite so we cant complain.The only thing i would say that the water in the shower wasnt steady warm, wasnt too bad, but definitely needs attention from the hotel.Location is amazing, right next to the brands if you like shopping then you should stay here.Definitely would come back

Firstly they messed up my booking and I couldn’t check in till gone 5pm…they then told me they were going to upgrade us for free which was a lie. The room has no openable window, single beds so small feels like they came from a hostel. No iron or ironing board. A shower where half of it doesn’t work. Great location but that’s not really the hotel that’s other places that are nice. And to put the cherry on top the coffee facilities in the room deserve to be in a 2 star hotel.Summary is that it’s not a true 5 star hotel at all more like a 3 star with issues.

Please Don’t come to this hotel … the front Disk telling wrong information … they said breakfast is not included mean while I all ready have book the room with breakfast … and fainally the said its included ….Waiting for long time to check innALESSIO RINELLA the Rooms Devision Manager gives us wrong information and his not co operating with costumer

The hotel is not good, the treatment of guests is bad, and the behavior of this person is very, very bad, he does not respect the guests the name of that guy ( ALESSIOR RINELLA )

The hotel has a very good location, however the service is not very bad .. the house keeping doesnt show up some time even if you ask them .. the room service is always relax and the laundry never bring back the clothes until you follow up.. the concerg made wrong reservation for our dinners plan and that was the worst part that made our trip horrible.. never stay there again honestly

This hotel is close to both Casa Mila and Casa Batllo. Hotel is 5 stars hotel and prices are really good for Barcelona. There are several good restaurants around. Rooms are clean and Expedia gold members get good perks. Rooftop is also vibrant. I stayed in superior room and I really enjoyed my stay. There are historical artifacts in the rooms. Guests also get free entrance for the Egyptian museum.

Stayed here in December lovely hotel super clean, friendly, the breakfast omg super friendly for vegans and vegetarians lots of options and fresh salads. The spa is amazing and unique.

Service has been very good from the point we stepped through the door to the point we left. We were greeted with a free mini bar, bottle of water and cava (through hotels.com).The rooms are a little on the slightly smaller side but you will have no complaints living here. As for the noise that someone mentioned - get a hotel outside of the city if it’s such an issue, the noise was no louder than any other busy city - London, New York, Paris etcThe 1 star loss is due to the basic of any hotel requirements not being met - ironing board/iron - I was informed it’s due to health and safety but the laundry/ironing service (€5 for a shirtis available. I decided to go without.

Stayed in a duplex suite. Plumbing issues in our sink, bath tub and shower. No maintenance on staff.Poor housekeeping. Blood stain on our sheets, and thick layer of dust under our bed indicating that it hadnt been cleaned in months. Only received turn down service on our second night, after complaining that our room hadnt been cleaned at all.COVID test was improperly scheduled by the front desk and I almost missed my flight home due to their error.With the exception of few, staff is unapologetic for their incompetence. Its a beautiful property but management is severely lacking. After all we suffered, we were only offered 15% off of our room service charges. They then did not apply it to all charges, so we only got a $7 discount. It was more offensive than if they had done nothing at all. There are plenty of beautiful hotels in the world. Avoid this one.

I’m a loyal Hyatt customer and this was my first SLH. I stayed five nights in a junior suite on 15K points + 40 Euro per night upcharge. The service was great, housekeeping was AMAZING, including turndown service with chocolate! Wowee! My room was nice but small. Glad we took the upgraded room.Breakfast was included and it was a wonderful, white linen affair with buffet options and attentive wait staff.Everyone spoke English - thank you!It rained heavily during our stay at the roof/patio leaked a little through our ceiling which I sense is a recurring problem. Parking was expensive (50 Euros per nightand I wish they’d had towels and water in the gym and hot coffee before 7:30am but nothing serious at all really needs improving in terms of guest experience. A great hotel in a smashing location providing excellent hospitality. I absolutely will stay again.

Stunning hotel, perfect location. Would certainly return. My room was a beautiful loft. Room service and turn down service was very pleasant. The property has a wonderful ambiance, and the breakfast is great. Pool on the rooftop and the sitting area availability is a bit small but also very nice. Room service is not 24 hours.

Amazing and luxurious hotel. We stayed for 3 days in Barcelona and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Would recommend and return. Shame i didnt get to use the pool but will definitely try to next time.

Nice hotel. The first room I was, had the air conditioning not working so they moved me to another room with a better view and a bigger size.In the new room, there was no coffee, no water, and the room itself was also very hot (as the first one).The employees were extremely nice. They gave me free tickets for the Egyptian museum that is literally one minute walking from the hotel.

Really nice staff but terrible experience- Fragrance everywhere in the hotel including the bedrooms (not convenient when you have allergies)- So much noise!! The windows don’t serve any purpose. It feels you’re sleeping on the street. They gave me two different bedrooms before finding one (facing a backyardthat wasn’t noisy at all.Fun fact, I asked for something for the inconvenience of having terrible nights of sleep and having to change rooms twice. They offered me a 7 euros discount on my breakfast. I obviously refused, wanting to save some of my dignity.Did I mention it is a « 5 star » hotel? If I forgot there is probably a reason why.
